I have the same engine and manual transmission '07 model and average 1qt per 1000mi almost at 189k miles and if I sit for 2 days or more the puff of blue smoke at start up otherwise its held up nicely
@@zorgzev96 in my area manual transmission vehicles are far and few and I actively look for them as I keep getting them throughout the years and thought maybe it had something to do with that ratio of oil loss until my sister had the same problem with her automatic vw and the dealership insisted on 1 oil change per year and she believes it 🤦♂️ I never thought I would choke on the fumes checking her oil I usually do 2 oil changes a year unless I had massive amounts of miles in a calander year

You right. Rebuilding doesn’t help this engine. Even the dealer never tried to rebuild it. After couple months it gonna be the same. Especially in winter area those engines are not helpful.
Just curious compared to other models of manual transmissions did you ever notice that model needing more rpms to get into 1st gear? My 07 is like this compared to numerous other models that require less power to effortlessly go into 1st
Those 2AZ FE engines are known for excessive oil consumption due to bad piston rings. Also the engine block is made of aluminum and the cylinder liners are made out of cast iron. I have a 2010 Scion TC with that engine and there’s really nothing you can do about it.
Could you please suggest if there are other piston rings that you would recommend installing instead of the original stock piston rings? Which car and model ?
i have problem with toyota camry 2005 there is vibration car when i put in R and D ane vibration increasing when i turn on AC condition , any one he have solution for these because i checked with mechanic for engine and gear mounts no issues

Добрый день! В основном масложёр (повышенный расход масла) устраняется капитальным ремонтом. То есть с разборкой и чисткой поршней, отверстий от нагара. Замена маслосъемных колец. Также замена маслосъемных колпачков на клапанах в головке блока цилиндров. Но это при условии, что хон на цилиндрах в норме и поршневая не сильно изношена. Если износ больше, то капиталка с заменой поршней и расточкой (гильзовкой). При незначительном расходе масла, как на моем 2AZFE, около 400грамм на 5000км. Я сделал 3 раза раскоксовку и расхода почти не стало. Как её сделать?. Нужен компрессор, инструмент и жидкость типа Gzox, ICC-300, LUVR для раскоксовки. Двигатель прогрет. Ставим сначала поршни в среднее положение выкрутив свечи, заливаем пенную раскоксовку в каждый цилиндр пока пена не заполнит полностью. Свечи завернуть. В течение 2часов периодически покачиваем поршни за гайку коленвала, чтобы жидкость попала между колец. После всей процедуры ставим каждый поршень в верхнюю мертвую точку (пробка должна вылетать из свечного колодца) и продуваем компрессором, тогда шлам не попадет на катализатор. Процесс хлопотный, но у меня получилось. Естественно - замена масла с промывкой после всего. Пробег 170 000км. Брал машину 45тыс км но уже с подгоревшим маслом, и на 130тыс км начал расход масла. При этом масло менял через каждые 5000км и это спасло двигатель. Удачи!

I love following you. There is something you have achieved. I live in Turkey. Toyota vehicles here do 1,000,000 kilometers even though they are LPG. The engine runs out at 100,000 kilometers where you are. what is the reason?
LPG actually improves engine life. I used to run my engine on dual-fuel, LPG and petrol (gasoline), it would only use petrol for starting then switch over to LPG unless I ran out of LPG. My oil used to come out so super-clean it was like I only put it in! Lots of LPG-fuel users extend oil changes because of this.
