Super worth it in Canada, stacking student discounts + black Friday deals, the S24U was over 1400cad, OnePlus 12 was 770cad. I think you'd be hard pressed to justify almost double for the ultra
Idk what you're on about. I had the opportunity to get the S24U 512GB at launch for 449 CAD. Granted that included trading in a phone but I highly doubt OnePlus has these kinds of enhanced trade in deals.
I have the 12R. It's my 1st OnePlus product and I'm impressed. The UI is nice, the build quality, the alert switch, etc. Thought I wouldn't like the curved screen but I'm fine with and it makes the phone easy to hold for a large phone. I just got Android 15. Will probably consider the OP 14 or 15 in a couple of years.
The OnePlus 12 is an amazing smartphone with decent cameras. The battery life rocks, after taking pictures and listening to music for hours I still have 70 percent battery life left. I will definitely purchase the 13 when it comes out.
As an iPhone user you have the option to get skins/cases of every kind under the sun buddy. 😂 Probably one of things I'm most jealous about the iPhones as a S24U user.

Hard for any phone to beat the 10T. It became my father's longest lasting phone. He destroys any phone I give him. The 10T is still kicking in a drawer.
Try 4 years later. I want a phone that can last me 4 years so I can jump off the consumer cycle that manufacturers imply when influencers make these videos. The smartphone is a mature technology now, there will not be any new innovations worth upgrading to for the next 2 years except for better battery life. Stop the constant upgrade cycle and consumerism, it's ruining the planet.
when you review the Oneplus 13, please review the camera modes. One thing that attract me is the Haseblad XPAN, taking pictures in XPAN is like taking an image with lots of story. Oh of course the speed. im planning to get the chinese version 24gb ram/1tb storage. Is the AI good or not.
@@JaimeRiveraTech I would use it everyday. Most of the tasks I need a PC for, Dex has been enough for my needs. I would really like to see a feature like Dex compete head to head with Window and Mac.
I'm glad you showed a true innovative phone for a change. Not just the same old iPhone no changes no Real AI as advertised. Google and Samsung both set the mark plus Google this made the best design phones ever. There are so many like One Plus but they are the only Chinese phone that is trying to sell outside of China. The only thing with Chinese phones is falling short with little updates.
I do think there’s a ton of innovation everywhere. In the case of the iPhone it’s just not on things most people care about, like log video. Still I’m glad 2024 was a great year for products in general
Bought Sony Xperia 1 March V onsted for Price was set down 500€ when was on way buy One+12 so bought Sony and not Dissapointed for work great way better than I thought 👍🇸🇪🇪🇺
I had a couple of Oneplus phones, a 3+ and a 9 Pro. I loved my 3+. Paying what I did for the 9 Pro, compared to what I felt I got for my money, ended up making me angry with the brand. They had indeed lost their way at that time. Disillusioned with phone prices overall I ended up saying fuck it and buying an iPhone, a 14 Pro, to finally give the expensive option a chance. That has been good, and horrible, but when the time comes for a new phone again, I’m definitely going back to the imho better OS, Android. It fills me with hope watching this video. Perhaps OnePlus did manage to turn away from the disastrous course they were on. Looking at the prices, even the full fat 12 is a lot cheaper now than my min. spec 9 Pro was, AND it’s a good phone. That’s very promising. Looking forward to seeing what the 13 brings 🙂
just not enough for me. The polish and little things of the 24 Ultra make it tough to beat. I would pick it over a Pixel though. Currently rocking a Z Fold6 as a business guy and the inner screen has solidified itself as non-negotiable when it comes to reviewing and briefing sales data. As an excel fiend, I no longer can switch back to a normal slab
Dude… it’s like saying your Toyota is nice but have you seen my Mercedes? Eh.. of course a Mercedes is better. That thing better do your laundry and iron your clothes for the extra money. It competes with other cars.. not Toyota. Does this make Toyota a bad car? No right 😉
@JaimeRiveraTech 😆 I do like your take on the One Plus and its definitely under loved, in my opinion. So much going for it. I guess I'm not the audience. Trust me though, I fought hard not to buy the One Plus Open.
Love my OnePlus 12 (green version). I am waiting for OnePlus 13 global release and your review. I want to switch but wonder if the cameras are improved?
I'm a 1+ guy since 2016... got my OP12 from Aliex ...white /China version for that 100w charger and asked the seller to put on Global Oxygen OS... Paid like €600 for the 512GB 16... THIS PHONE IS AMAZING!😁
I also have the same silky black 512gb OnePlus 12 and I can't tell you enough how much I really love this phone, it's safe to say that it's the best recommendation in 2024, not only that but it's also future proof due its incredible performance 💪
My OnePlus One was my all time favorite ohone before it died in a fire pit all too early in life. I was unimpressed with everything else for years, buying Samsung Phones for their cameras, Pixel phones for the same, and always being disappointed with SOMETHING - S10 being the only outlier, and S21 Ultra was close but had bugs and performance issues. Finally, wirh the OP12 they did enough in the camera department to make me consider coming back again and thank the Lord that I did. Easily my second favorite phone of all time after the OnePlus One and I can't believe it took them 10 years to put this type of package together again. Really happy with this thing!
Finally, someone who truly gets it! The OnePlus 12 is an absolute masterpiece, and it’s insane how the big names like MKBHD, Mr.whostheboss, just brushed it aside without even a mention. You’ve earned my respect and my subscription-this is the kind of honesty we need more of!
It was pretty “ok” when it launched. That said, I’ve been on the Open Apex for a few days now and man.. this phone is now great. I’ll make an h/H on it soon 😉
I'm with Michael Fisher, it has to fold for me, But I love what Oneplus is doing. I hope they can get more of a North American push. I switched to the open and I don't foresee switching back. I actually get and maintain more bars (signal strength wise) with Open than I did with my fold 4.
My daughter just got hers last month and loves it. The 512GB version was less than a 128GB Pixel 9 in Canada plus she used and loved my old 2016 OnePlus 3 until it took a dive in the lake this past summer. I don't know if the 12 will last her 8 years like the 3 did, but it's a great phone. The only strike against it in my eyes is the curved glass display. I hate them and have vowed to never own another one after the Note 10+ and Pixel 7 Pro. I said I'd never get another Note/Ultra until Samsung eliminated the curved displays, and that's why I pre-ordered the S24U back when it was announced. (Plus a killer insane trade on my old Note 10+!) I've been tempted to put a deposit on the OnePlus 13 to get some of the bonus discounts they're offering right now ... but I don't really feel any need to upgrade from the Ultra either.
I'm a big one. Plus fan, it didn't even come nothing. In any phone category for the year get lost in all positions. But I'm still the OnePlus man. Hopefully the 13 can do something special.
I agree the OnePlus is a great phone. However the 13 has all the stuff of the 12 plus comes with 6yrs. of updates and security patches at about the same price. Which gives you more time to get a return on the phone should you want to sell it 2 yrs down the road.
I knew it when i was buying this phone that this phone is not gonna win any award as this phone is a jack of all trades but a master of none I'm very happy with this phones but the only issue is that the battery is sometimes inconsistent like every day i get 8 plus sot but sometimes likely one out of 30 days the battery sucks and give me like 4 to 5 hrs of sot
Jaime, you dont know how much I appreciate your videos and contents. :) Could you please tell me one thing straight and forward? I am going to buy a phone in a moment between OnePlus 12 and Xiaomi 14. Which one should I get? Thanks, in anticipation.
Hard one. I prefer Xiaomi's photography but I hate their software, and frankly their designs are not my favorite. If it were my money I'd go OnePlus 12... Or heck if you could stretch to 13, you get software support for much longer
I can't from a pixel 8pro and its 10x better. When zooming in on a pixel camera, I consistently got fairy lights on the picture. I dont have that problem unless the light is extreme on the op12. I think this is the best android ecperience. I think the lack of 7 or 8 years of updates is fine because I don't plan on keep it that long.
LoL, it's not better. Not even close. Absolutely no room for comparison until Google improves Tensor.. trying to understand your comment but if what you meant is that the 12 is better than the Pixel, oh yeah. For sure
After seeing the 13s design, glad I got the beautiful green 12. 512GB and 16GB of Ram for $649.99. Makes Samsung users cry with their empty bank accounts and shatters my apple fanboy heart with how much value you get from OnePlus.
If you want to use android this is definitely one of the best after the S24 Ultra. However I recently switched back to iPhone and am really enjoying it.

Oh no! Were you able to solve it? So sorry to hear. Would love to learn more
Why you dont Like the OnePlus 12?
This is a solid phone , the sad thing is that we have buy a phone base on how many years of updates it have , it might reach to a point that you even buy or sell pre owned devices
I do think 4 years is not bad, but I do know it’s a very different world for most people.
Samsung updates are bricking phones and messing up TV sets. Poorly optimize updates are worse than no updates.
@@StarTraffic-z1o I've never ever had any issues whatsoever with Samsung updates bricking any Galaxy phone of mine.
You know which brand has bricked 2 of my phones from an update?? APPLE.
R.I.P. iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 Plus. Both are STILL stuck at the Apple logo boot screen to this day. I have files on there that aren't backed up which I want to retrieve.
Nice review thank you. I sold my iPhone 15 pro and saved the money for the new releases coming soon. I'm curious about the oneplus 13 and samsung s25 series. Also the pixel 9 was on my list but i let that one go after seeing a lot of reviews about the models i just wrote down. I might even buy the S24 Ultra as it will drop in price, and now I've seen your video, the oneplus 12 did not leave the ring yet either. What would you suggest, I'm curious. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Loving this content Jaime! Adelaide Hermano aqui estamos para apoyar
Gracias hermano. Significa mucho para mí. Fuerte abrazo!
Hi Jaime. As much as you support the Oppo I'll stay with my S24 Ultra
😂😂😂
Samsungs are a thing of the past

Samsung is in some serious financial trouble. I will take a One plus 10 out of 10 times over a Samsung bloated phone.
I got this phone for Christmas all I can said is incredible! I got it for $649 16g ram 512 gb !! Pic looks great! Battery last and charger very fast ! Great android experience!
Waiting for this Video
Great Camera
Great Battery
Great Charging
Awesome Display
Good Looking
Big Memory (i have 1 TB)
Big RAM (24gb)
Damn!! I love my OP12 so much❤
It's pretty great
I got the 10T i think it has the same fun finish, probably will upgrade to the 13😊
Hard for any phone to beat the 10T. It became my father's longest lasting phone. He destroys any phone I give him. The 10T is still kicking in a drawer.
yes im agree. this is how when i bought oneplus 3T and using it around 5 to 6 years
Wow such a great phone. I still have mine in black
I have one oneplus 12 since September and is a blast, what a phone 👏🏻👏🏻
Glad you’re enjoying it bud.
in terms of display video and photo quality which one should i buy the oneplus 12 or vivo x200, am totally confused😢
Oneplus 12 ✅✨♥️💯
Yup
Hey Jaime Been watching yeah for years :) Hope u reach 1 million subscribers ! SOON :)
It's the goal! Thanks for all your support
@@JaimeRiveraTech yupp =]
Try 4 years later. I want a phone that can last me 4 years so I can jump off the consumer cycle that manufacturers imply when influencers make these videos. The smartphone is a mature technology now, there will not be any new innovations worth upgrading to for the next 2 years except for better battery life. Stop the constant upgrade cycle and consumerism, it's ruining the planet.
Love your point. We’ll see how it goes
when you review the Oneplus 13, please review the camera modes. One thing that attract me is the Haseblad XPAN, taking pictures in XPAN is like taking an image with lots of story. Oh of course the speed. im planning to get the chinese version 24gb ram/1tb storage. Is the AI good or not.
You know, I don't usually go into those modes because they're usually gimmicks.. but some of the 13 options have me enticed so I'll do my best
I want desktop mode. I would love a true all in one device! Love the new channel.
Appreciate your support. Also, how often would you use it? I rarely use Dex and I have it on all my devices. I even switch it off on the tablet.
Very happy with my oneplus 12
I have the phone since launch and I cannot agree more, phone is a beast!
Glad you like it
I had a couple of Oneplus phones, a 3+ and a 9 Pro.
Yeah the 13 is pretty hot
I have the OnePlus 12R, and it has been an amazing phone. I will definitely upgrade to the 13R for the redesign.
I love that redesign.
I'm a huge fan of companies that give you these top tier specs without the top tier prices.... Looking to pick one of these up now
They do the best job at it ever since the 11 when you weren't just getting good for the money. Now it's great ... Which means too good for the money
im watching with my oneplus 12. op12 to me is a great phone. its my daily driver.
just not enough for me.
Review coming soon. You’d be surprised.
Why haven't you got the most TH-cam followers for reviewer your the goat
Well.. I left a 1.8M channel last month. Takes time to build a new one.
I'm a 1+ guy since 2016... got my OP12 from Aliex ...white /China version for that 100w charger and asked the seller to put on Global Oxygen OS... Paid like €600 for the 512GB 16... THIS PHONE IS AMAZING!😁
Wow that's a great deal
Op12 is a great phone, the price didnt drop which shows they are selling well in the UK, went with the vivo x200 pro personally as i got it for £655
Wow but that X200 Pro is a masterpiece
I also have the same silky black 512gb OnePlus 12 and I can't tell you enough how much I really love this phone, it's safe to say that it's the best recommendation in 2024, not only that but it's also future proof due its incredible performance 💪
Love it. Glad you’ve had a good experience.
It's an awesome device
I see your review from my OnePlus 12
Haha, enjoy
I've still got my Bamboo OnePlus One that i got on invite. Will be hopefully get the OnePlus 13 when is launched globally
Wow! Good one
Glad you’re enjoying it. It is a really good phone indeed.
Its an amazing phone .... Should have won phone of the year
Perfect review
OnePlus is a great brand but isn't super popular in the UK. Love the video.
Appreciate you! And yes, I do feel they need to push harder on the marketing
Appreciate your support. 2024 was a great year for phones so I totally understand Marques and Arun on their picks. Love the diversity of opinion.
Why you never reviewed the open? Or did i miss that?
It was pretty “ok” when it launched. That said, I’ve been on the Open Apex for a few days now and man.. this phone is now great. I’ll make an h/H on it soon 😉
I'm with Michael Fisher, it has to fold for me, But I love what Oneplus is doing. I hope they can get more of a North American push. I switched to the open and I don't foresee switching back. I actually get and maintain more bars (signal strength wise) with Open than I did with my fold 4.
Dude, I wrote this script using the Open Apex Edition. Got the OPPO Pen from a friend, and I’m hooked.
@JaimeRiveraTech I want the pen, just can't make myself pay $100+ for it.
Totally agree on the looks of the phone. Love the sandstone case too. Oh yea, its $549 USD on their website
I know! It was $649 when I wrote the script 🤣
Wow yeah you’re good. Glad she’s been enjoying it
I'm a big one.
Plus fan, it didn't even come nothing. In any phone category for the year get lost in all positions. But I'm still the OnePlus man. Hopefully the 13 can do something special.
It is 😉
Could you do a video of a OnePlus phone with all of the features like the notes the photos keyboard security features password stuff like that
Not my specialty. You want a full blown deep dive on the product, and I’m sure I have a ton of friends who are perfect at it like ZoloTech
Like that wallpaper!!! Where from?
It was on their stock wallpapers
I agree the OnePlus is a great phone. However the 13 has all the stuff of the 12 plus comes with 6yrs. of updates and security patches at about the same price. Which gives you more time to get a return on the phone should you want to sell it 2 yrs down the road.
But they fkd up with design...13 looks like a budget real me phone ...
Oh totally. What makes the 12 compelling right now is getting all that for a lot less money
Disagree
I knew it when i was buying this phone that this phone is not gonna win any award as this phone is a jack of all trades but a master of none I'm very happy with this phones but the only issue is that the battery is sometimes inconsistent like every day i get 8 plus sot but sometimes likely one out of 30 days the battery sucks and give me like 4 to 5 hrs of sot
Ha weird problem. No issue here. Wonder if it's some app draining your battery
Jaime, you dont know how much I appreciate your videos and contents. :)
Could you please tell me one thing straight and forward? I am going to buy a phone in a moment between OnePlus 12 and Xiaomi 14. Which one should I get? Thanks, in anticipation.
Hard one. I prefer Xiaomi's photography but I hate their software, and frankly their designs are not my favorite. If it were my money I'd go OnePlus 12... Or heck if you could stretch to 13, you get software support for much longer
@@JaimeRiveraTech Thank you so much. I appreciate your feedback. Happy Holidays! :)
Haha totally
have there been any updates on the one plus 13 mini or the compact model!
Not sure there will be one. They didn’t succeed at that with the X so many years ago.
at 600 dollars its still extremely on the high side for anyone outside the US but its such a great phone
It’s $549 right now 👀
We don't really get the discounts too, especially if the brand doesn't have official retailers then exchange rates😅@@JaimeRiveraTech
@@JaimeRiveraTech I paid slightly less for a pixel 9 and a year of unlimited at mint mobile. Much better value for me.
Best phone in OnePlus line up after a long time
Moved from s24 ultra to vivo x200 pro. Man the camera is so so much better especially in low light. For one ui, I still keep a normal s24
Dude, that X200 Pro is the best camera on a phone, hands down.
If you want to use android this is definitely one of the best after the S24 Ultra.
However I recently switched back to iPhone and am really enjoying it.
Agreed
After 2 iPhones, I went back to Android with no regrets. I recently bought the OnePlus 12 at an amazing price. I love this phone.
Glad you feel proud of your purchase
