Hi Basheer. I love your videos and couldn't agree more about the 991.2, they are great motors. I live local in Stansted Mountfitchet and might pop in one day to have a look around and chat cars.

you have right good motor, you change the Turbos at 18 000 miles I change the water pump issue with the seat etc... I Never had all this issues on my Ferraris I don't speak about cylinder strikes & others recurrent problem on Porsches. On the past with air engine the engine are better fame because you do not count the oil additions!

I really think the mounting of the mode selector to the steering wheel was the right move, i found it fiddly and distracting when it was on the centre console. Porsche evolved and tidied the ergonomics in the 991.2. Thanks for the review, lovely car.

I couldn’t agree more 😊👍. The dial on the steering gives it a lightly race feel 😉.
Thank you for the compliment 🙏❤️

Pretty good review, however as a 991.1 owner I will take the natural sounds of my NA 3.8 over any turbo. The sound is amazing. My car has most options. I love the brand in any event.

    • @invictusporsche

I don’t blame you, it is more exciting at low speeds and difficult to replicate that engine noise elsewhere

100%. The 991.1 NA cars are hard to beat. Values are already up over the 991.2 versions.

The 991.1 cars do sound good but so do the 991.2 cars. The 3.0 L turbo motor so much better, plus the ability to tune is to 500 Hp for $1,500 is a nice option that the 991.1 doesn't offer!

@@jimsc2 It's a matter of individual perspective. I love all 911s, but there is nothing artificial about a N/A engine, just pure poetry. The turbos sound amazing but not quite as good. I am not sure if you are a 911 owner or if you have ever owned one. Not everyone tunes what is already a surreal car. To each their own bud!!

Sounds is one thing (subjective) but get back to us when that 9A1 suffers from bore scoring as a result of subpar cylinder coating. Just ask me how I know.. my (sold) 997.2 Targa 4S was on its 3rd motor at 66,500 miles. Wouldn’t own another 3.8 DFI under any circumstance. I’ll take the refined turbo with proper coating everyday of the week.

I have owned a 997.1 C2S and now a 991.2 C2S. There’s no comparison in terms of power delivery. Couple years back I got the ECU tune which added 100 HP and 45% more torque. Comparing to any NA motor includes the GT3, it’s night and day.

    • @invictusporsche
      @invictusporsche  ปีที่แล้ว +1

That’s a lot of power added, I agree in terms of power delivery massive difference. The 991.1 has a better engine note though

You said the the 991.1 shared its transmission and engine with the 997.2? But I thought the 991.1 had "direct" fuel injection for the first time and I know it had more horsepower. And, at least with the manual, it went to a seven speed in the 991.1 compared to a six speed in the 997.2, and I've seen numerous reviews that claim with the PDK in the 991.1 is better. So how can this be?

  • @guymathew1520

Nice spec car. I have a 2016 S with manual (which is a love it or hate it choice), PASM, also in Carrara white with the sunroof. It murders my old 996 4S in terms of performance and is better looking than a 992. I don't see myself changing to any other 911 anytime soon.

Basheer, you are a man after my own heart, the video of the women and children dipping their cups into that snowmelt stream hit me hard as a father of two adult daughters. I compliment you the last time i watched your channel, but this time i want to give something back for what you have given me. I want to make sure that when I start work in Photoshop in a few minutes that I have given you back something in return for your knowledge, wisdom, personal panache, and humanity. Basheer, i want to make sure you know the meanings of your first and last names, because a man should know who he is! Basheer means "Messenger of good news," which obviously fits you perfectly. Your last name is one of the 99 names of Allah, and means "Blossoming," which fits you perfectly. Your first and last names are absolute perfection my friend. My name is patronymic, is of Viking origin, and means son of he who watches. Which for me is perfect, because my extremely vivid memories stretch back to when i was barely 3 years old. This child of Viking heritage who, now lives in the Sonoran Desert of America wishes to thank a child of Britain, and the Pakistan & Afghanistan region all the best things in life. I have watched a lot of individuals imparting their knowledge of Porsches, but you Basheer, are far and away the most extraordinary spokesperson I have ever witnessed, period. i say that because who you are as a human being at your core is critical when presenting ideas in a crowded marketplace. You Basheer pull people into your wold beautifully with erudite, literate, educated, knowledgeable, and an infectious enthusiastic personality that is extraordinary. Carry that with you Basheer, because it is true, and it empowers you too give back, which you obviously are. Bye the way, the information you imparted today was invaluable Basheer. Thank you so much. One final note from a man in his 70th year, the thoughtfulness you give toward others is returned to you ten fold, but then I know you know that already.

Hello my friend. This is the most beautiful comment/compliment, I have ever received. I am 30 years old. I thank God for everything he has blessed us with and our family. It would be lovely to stay in touch and speak on the telephone whenever you have time. My WhatsApp number in the UK is +447791261078.
Also I wanted to share a link to the water wells project. www.justgiving.com/campaign/WaterWellsAfghanistan
I always cry and become teary when I see these videos and what such a small tiny gesture mean to so many people.
Your description of my name was beautiful and one I haven’t come across being explained so well. I admired my father, he was a phenomenal human being. He would have been very close to 70 if he hadn’t passed away circa 7 years ago. All I ever wanted to do was to become a little like my father. Your message shows that I am on the right path 😊🙏❤️
Let’s stay in touch my friend. Love from the UK 😊

The 991.2 is the best 911! The turbo makes all the difference; if you like to look at it’s rear end, buy a 991.1 because that’s all you’ll see 😂

@@invictusporsche LOL.... you know you're reaching, but on a serious inquiry. I understand that the .2's are having some turbo design flaws.
      Is that something you've heard?
I just feel that in haste to comply with the new emission regulations Porsche didn't have time to truly test the .2 turbos. I was strongly considering moving into a .2 4GTS, as I love the newer front fascia and rear tail lights, but hearing about the potential turbo failures and the fact that the .2's are still relatively "new", I decided to hold off until there is more data on the issue.
Even the 992's turbos were changed/upgraded to be more efficient and supposedly more reliable.

  • @awinis

4.1 is slow for a 991.2 C2S! I have never gone slower than 4 seconds and I've never used launch control. With launch control you should expect times well under 4 seconds. Also, get one with rear axle steering, it's miles ahead of a car without one.

The roads around us aren’t great for it and Porsche also play down their 0-60. How long have you had yours for?
