    I just got a 08 FA5 FD1 Swap for my 03 Pilot lmao. What do clutch do I put in. It’s missing the hood latch all the wires are showing and also the light dimmers i believe. It has no exhaust tip and it’s rebuilt. Lmaooo. the pilot has Falken for snow beefy. I got it for 7 flat. So I have to pay for this. The pilot had bad power steering hoses and the trans slipped sometimes. I loved it so much.

    Dont use compressed air to clean inside of the clutch casing. Clutch contains azbestos and this behavious is dangerous for anyone in the vicinity. Only brake cleaner.

    @400Redsport 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    So no one's ever told you not to use an air hose to clean that crap out? Pretty sure it's not supposed to be anywhere near where you are breathing. Just something to think about lol.

      @C Moore You must be an idiot, aren't you? I'm far from what you'd consider a "liberal." Calling someone a liberal just because they point out you shouldn't be breathing in clutch plate dust? Seems like solid logic.

      @400Redsport 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @C Moore Also, how many actual "liberals" tend to be able to pull a trans and change a clutch? I'll bet not many associate trans with a car period. Lol

    Thank you for this video! I have a question. My fork is really loose (I have the transmission on the ground) and when I move it and doesn't spring back into place. Is this normal? I can't tell if you're moving it forward and back on your own or not. Thank you

      @TheGerbsteve  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sayyid If I could go back and replace it, I would. I recommend that you do the same thing. Get a new fork and spring.

    Did u use the throwout bearing that came with the exedy kit or did u go with an oem honda. What would u recommend

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used The one that came with the exedy kit. Oem honda parts for the win though. You are going to pay more, but they will last the longest

      @@TheGerbsteve did u use exedy khc10?.. I'm about to get that clutch for my tsx gonna put an exedy lightweight flywheel.. would u recommend that clutch or should I go exedy stage 1 .. I really just want the best feeling clutch

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure the exact part #, but it’s running still and is made in Japan. Keep oem clutch if you want that easy feel, smooth, and most longevity.

    Have you ever herd of misaligned clutch fork ?? Installed new clutch and now car so t start. Just cranks over , some say might be Missligned clutch firj

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +marcus alcala Yes. It is tricky to get the fork back onto the tranny when you take it off. The fork has to rest on the ball with the metal clip.

    hey dude
    my clutch makes a grinding noise when im taking off from being idle to 1st and then from 1st to 2nd
    does the whole clutch need replacing or is it a component of the clutch system?

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Usman Tariq It could be one of the components or your synchro

    Use brake cleaner and spay those dust, so it does not become air-bone. Those dust is bad for your lungs. This is a disaster tutorial.
