    resting your hand on the shifter engages the release bearing and causes it to wear faster

    I got a 2008 Nissan Frontier I bought it used has 36,000 miles on it certified but at 40,000 miles do you replace the transmission manual transmission in it and a rear end all under warranty hundred 37,000 miles in the truck bearing is making noise only in the morning I think when I push the clutch makes a grinding noise it goes away

    I've been hearing a lot of issues with throw out bearings on Hondas built after 2006. Maybe it's a design flaw?

    i drive it to work everyday but the noise comes and goes when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 3rd gears

    How much would you charge to replace the clutch? Is Exedy OEM a good as the honda parts? I'm trying to change the clutch on my 09 si

      Paul Kash Exedy is OK stuff. If your engine is stock just stick with the Honda parts you cant go wrong that way.

    • @ALLMUSCLEUSA
      @ALLMUSCLEUSA  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always recommend to go with factory original Honda parts.

    I replaced it with the Competition Clutch in my RSX-S (same Stage1 Kit from Exedy) & the flywheel is also 9lbs.
    It held but because of what I'm going to do with the motor the clutch won't hold up. Stage3 is what I'm using now.

    I have a 99 prelude SH and when I release the clutch into neutral and it idles I have a grinding/rattling sound. Just got the car did not make this sound when I purchased it, I wouldn't have bought it. Doing research it sounds like what your talking about a throw out bearing. I do not have friends like you so how much and how long can you drive because I'm not rich would you recommend this situation getting fixed. I drive on the highway 80% of my time from work and home. Thanks

      youll be alright as long as you dont drive really hard. i just changed mine and it was making a rattleing noise when the clutch was out but disappeared when the clutch was pressed

      If you're locked out of a gear then you're synchro is probably shot. seeing is how it won't go into 5th it's probably the synchro on 4th gear.

    Hey just wondering was the noise he first heard like a chirping or squeaking noise?

    I think that these bearings fail when someone rests their foot on the clutch pedal over time.

    I'm having a problem with my 03 civic LX I've noticed a SMALL noise when I don't have the clutch pushed in n I when I do push it in it goes away is it the throw out bearing? Do I need to replace it fast? Will it do damage to my car? Or will it just be annoying from the noise? Please help me out because money is pretty right right now I need to know if I can still drive it like that

    • @ALLMUSCLEUSA
      @ALLMUSCLEUSA  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      dublehlx Sounds like a bearing issue, but it could just need adjustment. Have it checked out by someone you trust will not rip you off. If the bearing comes apart complete you will lose the ability to disengage the cluth and you will not be able to go into gear. Also you could cause damage to the transmission shaft.

    • @dublehlx

      @mmuh1980 okay thanks for the info bro good to know that it can cause damage and slip out of place now I know to replace asap

    • @ALLMUSCLEUSA
      @ALLMUSCLEUSA  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds like the throw out bearing from the way you described it. But to be certain always get another opinion. You may just have to have the clutch adjusted so that it doesn't ride the bearing.

    exedy throw out bearing are garbage they don't last past 10k it better to get the throw out bearing from the dealership or another aftermarket brand like act or competition

    this is massive abuse of it.. like :clutch kick million cutt off to powershift each gear, every day all day....
