  • thank you ladies and gentlemen for stopping by the channel as always. in this video we are dropping the transmission in the 9th gen Civic unfortunately the throwout bearing decided to take a crap on us on the way home from cars and coffee. So in the process we will be pulling the action clutch and replacing it with a refreshed one obviously from action clutch the clutch company around they also hold intake manifold to get ready for the ported RBC and we also off the rev9 downpipe to fix the crack..

      Yes you have to remove the back Mount you also have to lower the subframe

      @@0260videos I got cha, I figured it out after I watched it again. That the rear mount is attached to the subframe. I’m going to pretty much do an overhaul. New 6 puck. New slave and cmc, and new rear mount.

      My clutch is good but my bearing failed, I ended up having to float it home

    I spent all weekend trying to get my clutch in... its my first time so its very hard. My car is going to sit in the garage probably till next weekend I think. Do you have any tips for getting the steering rack bolts off on the right side? Damn near took me 1hr plus working on those.

      Yes a wrench with a ratcheting flex head on it

      @0260videos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can also drop the rack with the subframe if you want to

    You think a decently mechanically inclined guy with the same tool you have could get this done in a weekend? My throw out bearing is starting to go on my only car and I don’t feel like paying $1000 for a $60 part at a shop. I have rebuilt a few dirt bikes(I know it’s nowhere near the same thing but example I’m not incompetent 😂)

      If you understand the client and have worked on engines before then yeah it's pretty much the same thing as everything else the hardest part is removing the subframe and lowering the tranny

    How many bolts total hold the transmission to the clutch plate/ engine block?

  • @tommyvang3138

    My bolt for the shifting mechanism fell inside the transmission. Is there any other possible way of getting it out?

      That I'm not sure of can you see them ?

    Is it possible to remove the transmission from above, without dropping the subframe?
