Injecting botox in the forehead would probably cause your eyelids to become more droopy, but injecting it under the brow near the corner of the eyes can help a little bit with droopiness (my derm explained this).

Hey Doc, great discussion!! 😊 From personal experience, I have seen amazing results from a combination of “Baby Botox” and a red light home mask . I only get a few units of Botox in my glabella and in my chin twice a year; I use my Omnilux mask every other day. I have been using this method for over 5 years, (I am now 51), and have seen a drastic improvement in my skin tone/texture/fine lines. It seems that the masking allows me to extend the time between my Botox treatments and I have very few static wrinkles. I do agree with you, consistency is key with these masks!! I have never missed a treatment in 5 years, but I am an extremely routined/scheduled person. 😝 Oh, and I move my face a lot, laugh constantly, drink from straws all the time, and just genuinely enjoy life (always with sunscreen, of course!!). 😉
I get Botox injections every three to six months. I recently purchased the Omnilux system. Both the face mask and neck/chest component. Great results! I'll continue using both. Thanks, Dr. Dray!
I have had omnilux for a few years now and when I'm consistent using it, I do see results that are far more lasting than Botox ever was. What's bad about Botox is that you need more and more. Thank you Dr Dray!
I've used red light for a year now and put the mask all over my body. Well worth it. Botox I feel like it's a slippery slope to fillers and other cosmetic stuff. Then you won't look the same down the line and and surgery later won't help. I think the Mini brow lift might be nice for a wedding or big one time event
Happy Thursday Dr Dray ❤ thanks for all your great advice, I stopped smoking five years ago but only started skin care last year. I now wear factor 70 sunscreen and a giant hat outside, and even sunscreen inside no. I also use a red light mask every evening before I put on my retinol, it’s early days but I see some small improvements on my skin. Thirty years of smoking and sun damage have left me looking older than my 54 years but I’m being consistent about this ( and my exercise too!) so hopefully over the years I will stop anymore damage even if there isn’t a huge overall improvement. Keep on educating us all!
Your videos are so useful and helpful! Can you please do a video on if sunscreen is safe for people who suffer from eczema and the side effects of the ingredients in sunscreen?
Another reason for sunglasses, overtime excessive sun exposure cannot only lead to squinting/wrinkles but possibly cataracts and can also be one of the reasons for eye color change (said by someone who wears prescription glasses).
I’ve been using my LED mask for 3.5 years. Once you set a routine of how and when you will use it, it’s easy to fit into your weekly schedule. I see great results of keeping my skin looking healthy and slowing down the look of ageing. 💖
Yes! So true. Also to prevent ‘surfer’s eye’- I developed this ‘suddenly’ in my early 30s and while I had worn sunglasses, I certainly endured sun damage over the decades to my eyes. Protect and prevent ❤
Hi Dr Dray, Could you please discuss Vitamin D infusions? My recent blood work showed that my Vitamin D levels were even lower than my last blood test. My new doctor said that she has Vitamin D infusions once a year, as it's more convenient for her, rather than taking a daily oral supplement. It seems that it is also more economical, safe & controlled than randomly subjecting oneself to the sun's damaging rays. I think many viewers would like to know about this option. Thanks! 👱🏻♀️♥️
You need to build up your vitamin D quick. You can do that by taking multiple tablets per day, for a set number of weeks. Search the web for home to do this. Good luck.
Hi Nada! I have very low vitamin d levels too. I'm on a prescription strength (50000u) gel capsule twice a week. Initially I was on it once a week but my levels were still low. Since increasing to twice a week, they've much improved. I didn't know vitamin d infusions were an option. I'd love to learn more about them even though a twice a week dose is not a hassle for me. 💙
My husband and I both use Omnilux masks every morning and have seen a definite improvement! It’s so easy with an auto shutoff after 10 minutes. Small time investment for visible results. 😉
This is me speaking in the TikTok 👋 to clarify, I didn’t say that other facial muscles work “more,” but rather that the brain will send a signal to express through the face, and in the complex dynamic of muscles involved in virtually all facial expressions, there will be a “tug of war,” the end result of which will be movement that impacts the skin causing dynamic wrinkles. I’d also note that while red light therapy wouldn’t prevent movement and the process of creating dynamic wrinkles through movement, it would mitigate their development. Youthful skin has the elasticity to stretch and spring back, and red light preserves these qualities for longer by 1) thickening the dermal layer in opposition to time thinning it, and 2)stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis which also declines with aging. Additionally, red light has a photoprotective effect akin to SPF 15, and stimulates DNA healing after UV exposure - so if one is comparing the two, it’s easy to argue that red light would be a superior treatment to Botox if one is solely thinking about face anti-aging. Botox has other indications of course. Also given that consumer facing red light therapy is quite new, there hasn’t really been a dataset of people using it preventatively from 20s to 50s, so it is unclear how profound of an effect it might have over time.
For me, wearing contacts, accelerated my forehead wrinkling because, even when I was using eye drops, my eyes would get very dry, so I would inadvertently squint and frown, because of the discomfort.
I learned a technique called Chua K'a that relaxes the muscles that botox addresses -- far safer and free, as you do it yourself. I do use the OmniLux infrared mask and can see a big difference in my forehead and around my mouth. That combination is harmless and inexpensive. (And, for information, I am on week 62 with the Omnilux. I use it 3X per week as they recommend and plan on doing this for life). (It has helped my rosacea).
I get Botox in my cervical area to help with god awful muscle spasms due to the aftermath of 3 spinal fusions. Also, I get it for migraines. I benefit from having my elevens and my forehead done. It’s helpful all around. I can’t move my forehead and elevens into a constant frown when I have daily headaches… which is a huge win. Otherwise I’d look mad all the time and I don’t have awful static wrinkles as a result. It is HUGELY beneficial in my cervical area and I am forever thankful to the doc who started this process. It’s amazing with how well it helps constant pain after having three spine surgeries. Im not pain free… but my quality of life is incredibly better than without! Red light is just something I am starting with and I am very excited about it’s benefits. At 51 my face is starting to go to places I don’t recognize! 😳
I get Botox to raise a “lazy” eyebrow. It’s as if I had a brow lift it works so well. And I can go over six or seven months between injections. It’s as if that eyebrow has been retrained.
Thanks so much. I bout the Red Light/NIR both on a stand & a wrap around one too. The wrap one is most flexible in that you can be more comfortable using it & mine has a timer vs pedestal one doesn't. I do put mini goggles on b/c the sunglasses that came w/device are Huge & wouldn't allow benefit around the eyes. I subscribed b/c your info is comprehensive & believable.
I've had the Omnilux mens version for about six months. I use it first thing in the am for ten minutes before getting out of bed. It's definitely plumped-up my skin. So, have been using it for about six months and saw a friend recently that I had not seen for one year and she noticed and commented.
That's why each tool and treatment is for addressing certain purposes. Some treatments and tools can also be used together providing synergy for better results 😊❤. But some tools and treatments are not a one and done thing but require maintenance. So each approach, treatment or tool is unique in its own way and doesn't fall into the pit of comparison. Finally the thing i wanted to say is that the biopsy results of my mother came and man they are depressing stage IV cancer 😢. I hope the chemotherapy will help her but we wait for the oncologist's estimation on the number of chemo sessions ahe will be put on. Have a great day doctor Andrea and y'all.
A suggestion about the video sound: your mic is creating a higher pitched tin-like sound with reverb. Others clearly don’t have an issue with this, but I personally find it difficult to get through the first few minutes of your videos, even though I’m fascinated and appreciative of the content. Maybe a better mic and some acoustic insulation could help. 💙
I do both and don't think you can compare the two . Botox will definitely produce visible results in a relatively short amount of time and at home Red Light devises seem like more of a subtle long term interment for skin tone and elasticity .
In Dr Dray's videos on the omnilux mask and Dr. Sam Ellis' red light mask video, both said to do the LED treatment on clean, dry skin and then follow with your skincare.
Perfect timing! i just got red light therapy done at my dermatologist office yesterday! My Derm recommended red light therapy to stop pre-cancerous skin cancer spots up by my hairline. I went in at 9:30am, she did a light exfoliation on my face and then the gel. the gel felt tingly but totally tolerable! the tingling went away on my right side of my face by the time she was half way done with the left side of my face. those two steps took a whole maybe 5 mins. then i sat in the waiting room for an hour. then i went into the room with the red light panel (it also has a fan, so it's very tolerable!) she did 10 mins on one side of my face and 10 mins on the other. (the machine turns off automatically after the 10 mins!) i cannot go outside for 48 hours. after the 48 hours i will still be senesitive to the sun for a few weeks. i think she said. she said i will KNOW when its time to go inside, my skin will start tingling. im considering getting the Omnilux Mask, i asked my derm about it, she said its very useful for different things! exactly what Dr. Dray was naming here! i would obviously wait until im healed from my in office red light therapy before i go buy the mask. i do look like i have a little bit of a sunburn but nothing scary. i'm 33 years old. WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN! PLEASE! 😅
I use omnilux, but I am wondering..I saw another dr video on celeb sour face for lack of a better description…some celeb look like they are smelling something sour and they said it was muscles compensating for Botox in other areas…I also think my wearing makeup with sunblock my entire life has helped…everyone says oh it’s not enough you need a separate sunblock, which I agree is important but I still think my makeup spf helped me. I’m turning 54 yo this year and my skin is good, my hair is another day….❤
I have extremely strong forehead muscles that made it almost impossible to communicate or express without wrinkling my entire forehead. At 26 I had deep set forehead wrinkles that I felt really aged me. I started getting Botox to treat the lines, and I’ve noticed SUCH a a difference to my deep set wrinkles with consistent use and good quality skin care. Sure it sucks to pay for Botox but I budget for it and it really has improved my confidence. I doubt red light would give me this outcome 😂
Not injecting anything…we have great filters to use now on social media😊😅😊! I do use red light therapy…and what about bone loss due to age? Please address age related bone loss! Thank you Dr Dray! ❤
Hi Jackie! Happy Thursday!! I hope you had a lovely day. How was your weather? I hope you didn't get any bad storms. 🙏 It was sunny and 78 degrees here. Crazy! Almost felt like Summer minus the humidity. I took tomorrow off so I will have a three day weekend. Yay! I want to get some yard work done and a few bigger chores in the house I've been putting off. But I plan on relaxing a little too and enjoy watching the birds. They are so busy right now and singing so pretty. I sure could use a cup of tea with my dear, sweet friend. I have done botox a few times.(by a plastic surgeon and once at a med spa) I really sort of hate when i can't move my face. I'd love to try red light therapy. I grew up in Fl and live here today so I suppose I should make the investment. Great video. TY
I have a Mito Red smaller panel probably about 10” x 18” just eyeballing it. I lift it onto my countertop when I put on my makeup early morning while I do any other skin treatment that day. I think it’s been preventative and helps with my circadian rhythm. I sometimes have it in front of my face a few minutes at night too. My mom used it for miraculous recovery from knee surgery 2x. My eyes have adjusted to the light and while I don’t look directly into the panel I think it’s likely good for eyesight too much like very early morning sun purportedly you are supposed to look toward. But the way I use it I’m always multitasking. Highly recommend. By contrast I’ve never had any in office procedures prob because my skin hasn’t really needed it. I also gave a Nira, a Nuface and Tretinoin. I don’t often wear sunscreen unless I’m going to be out of the shade directly in the sun for more than 5 minutes. but my makeup has some and I always wear sunglasses unless it’s raining as my light blue eyes demand it. But my red light panel is important to me. I hope I can always use it.
I have used Botox before for hyperhidrosis in my armpits. I have been considering the newer treatment, Miradry! Can you do a video talking about this treatment? Also, is it safe for pregnancy and/or breastfeeding?
I had two sunspots. One under my left eye and one on my forehead. I tried a few creams that didn't do anything. I got a red light mask and after a little under 3 months, both are gone. I didn't track anything for lines, but am starting to do it now to see if I notice a difference over time.
Fantastic video! Are red light devices dangerous for people who suffer from dry eyes? I stopped using retinol because of dry eyes and wonder if red light is feasible.
Actually I did a bunch of research into this. Red light is actually used in the TREATMENT of dry eye disease. Red light in the eyes can unclog meibomian glands. In office, the wavelength that is used on the eyes is 433 nm for dry eyes. Many at home red light devices emit this wavelength. Including the Omnilux.
As someone who’s suffered facial paralysis (RHS), I won’t be getting Botox, I’m not looking to feel the feeling of my face being paralyzed again. To each their own!
Could you recommend the red light device which you have been using ? I’m 53 years old and I could really use one right about now. All these years, I’ve stuck to sunscreen, avoiding sun and natural oils, vitamin C etc. But now I have to up my game. My husband wouldn’t mind me spending on a one time device but not regular Botox for maintenance. I’m on the same page with that. Dr. Dray, you are someone I ABSOLUTELY TRUST, and your recommendation would mean the world to me when it comes to a red light device. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💖💖😇
Red light therapy has truly transformed my health and skin, and I owe it to the incredible effectiveness of the Future Form Official panel from Norway. It's simple to incorporate into my routine, and the results have been remarkable. Plus, considering the noticeable improvements, it's definitely a worthwhile investment. Big thanks to Dr. Dray for the info!
Do red grow lights work as good as $300+ RLT face masks? I know my $23 Great Value grow light from Walmart finally got my plants to grow, and the plants that I used regular sunlight from several different types of plants did not grow nearly as well as my $23 grow light from Walmart. The grow light I have lets you choose from red, blue, or red + blue. I have some well established plants that have an obvious fungal issue (among different plant types). When I used blue light, the fungus was able to be completely eradicated vs sunlight in the same setting. I recently started new plants, and the seeds that sprouted with blue lights didn’t develop ANY fungal issues vs through regular sunlight like I’ve done for several years. I looked up to see if the blue light had anything to do with it because it was extremely unusual for me to not see a single sign of damping off around my seedlings and young plants. Apparently, blue light is anti fungal. Now when I use just the red light option only, my plants grow towards the red light vs bright sunlight, and they just grow so much better. I wish I would’ve known about this years ago. All this being said, I believe affordable led red grow lights can work just as effectively as expensive face masks. I am going to try it out on my skin and see if I notice any measurable improvement.
I also have a great tip for people hoping to avoid the elevens permanently: don't worry, don't suffer, don't feel empathy, don't take people seriously, don't listen with heightened focus and don't look at things closely- you will be wrinkle free much longer than your peers😅
Dr. Suárez, I just got botox and the cosmetologist told me that I can’t use Botox and red light therapy at the same time because the light will shorten the time botox lasts. Is this accurate? I want to thank you for this channel. Amazing!
Happy Thursday! I have a red light device, not the Omnilux. I’ve been using it about a year, and been told by one or two people that my skin looks very nice. Botox is not an option I care to try. Anyone else using a device that isn’t an Omnilux? Any recommendations? Thanks!
I've seen other dermatologists recommend not only the omnilux but the one from currentbody and the dmh uneven skintone aesthetics light shield. A few have been on the Qure mask bandwagon (similar to the dr. dennis gross one). And at least one esty I follow likes the higherdose one (it's flexible like the omnilux and currentbody ones).
45, almost 45. I’ve never had Botox. I recently started using tretinoin and I also recently got an Omnilux. I look much younger already just from normal skincare so I don’t think Botox is necessary. For me anyway.
Dear Dr. Dray: I frequently read that some product or therapy reduces the "appearance" of wrinkles. Does that mean it's an illusion? Is the item reducing the physical properties of a wrinkle (depth, length), or not?

@luckyneko1 I like the bulb , the orice is right. If I had enough for a panel I'd do that
Hey Doc, great discussion!! 😊
From personal experience, I have seen amazing results from a combination of “Baby Botox” and a red light home mask .
Oh, and I move my face a lot, laugh constantly, drink from straws all the time, and just genuinely enjoy life (always with sunscreen, of course!!).
What mask are you using?:)
That’s awesome! Good for you!
Good for you!
Your videos are so useful and helpful! Can you please do a video on if sunscreen is safe for people who suffer from eczema and the side effects of the ingredients in sunscreen?
Perfect timing! Thank you. After hearing your information, I ordered the Omnilux. Will also do another Botox treatment. Thank you!!!
Another reason for sunglasses, overtime excessive sun exposure cannot only lead to squinting/wrinkles but possibly cataracts and can also be one of the reasons for eye color change (said by someone who wears prescription glasses).
Greetings d b hope u r well n Happy Thursday😀👍💜….
This comment is a reminder to wear my sunglasses more! ❤
@@isdeirinnme oh no tanning bed! Cancer!
Thanks Dr Dray. I've had a joovv (IR & NIR) for 4+ years now, beneficial for not only skin, but healing of sprains and sore muscles.
Youthful skin has the elasticity to stretch and spring back, and red light preserves these qualities for longer by 1)
thickening the dermal layer in opposition to time thinning it, and 2)stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis which also declines with aging.
Yes 🙌 this was me and Sam talking in the TikTok video!
😮👏
would the red light therapy help smile lines that are already prominent rather than simply preventing them?
I do both! I have the omnilux 🤷🏼♀️

I do both😎
For me, wearing contacts, accelerated my forehead wrinkling because, even when I was using eye drops, my eyes would get very dry, so I would inadvertently squint and frown, because of the discomfort.
i tried and i could not use them, i had trouble placing them so was tugging at my eyelids and that area is so delicate
One of my favourite videos so far. Thanks doc.
Hi! Where can I get info on Chua Ka?
Botox for dinamic wrinkles and Collagen bioestimulador for static wrinkles (radiesse, profhilo)
Is it better to get a red light mask or go to the dermatologist for laser therapy? Thank you Dr Dray!!
I get Botox to raise a “lazy” eyebrow. It’s as if I had a brow lift it works so well. And I can go over six or seven months between injections. It’s as if that eyebrow has been retrained.
I SCALDED MY HAND SECOND DEGREE BURNS. I USED THE DERMALEX FLEX MY DOCTOR COULD NOT BELIEVE I HEALED SO QUICKLY. SO GRATEFUL
I’m too old for Botox but I do have a red light mask I use everyday. Thanks for sharing this information! 🥰
Thanks for watching!
What is a good brand and affordable red light for the face?
@@caseyharrison2024 Not much proof that the brand matters. LED lights are LED lights. Might bother you if it's uncomfortable to wear though.
I have a Omnilux face and neck mask. I find them affective.
Omnilux is fda approved
Dr Dray u look amazing!!!
I dont however think that I would use red light therapy after Botox because I feel like it might do something to disrupt the Botox
Sending prayers up for your mother.

How often do you need to use red light (minimally) to appreciate the effects?
I heard green light is better then red for anti aging? What do you think
I love my omnilux. I hadn't used it in a while but started twice weekly and I'm happy to see an improvement in the overall appearance of my skin
I do both and don't think you can compare the two . Botox will definitely produce visible results in a relatively short amount of time and at home Red Light devises seem like more of a subtle long term interment for skin tone and elasticity .
Thank you for all your great info!! I do both. Love my omni mask!! Worth the money!

Is it safe to use tretinoin with red light ?
I’m turning 54 yo this year and my skin is good, my hair is another day….❤
As always Dr. your advice is always appreciated and you’ve encouraged me to buy my red light device
There's a study showing red light therapy could speed up cancer growth published in the NIH. Could you speak on that?
I have extremely strong forehead muscles that made it almost impossible to communicate or express without wrinkling my entire forehead. At 26 I had deep set forehead wrinkles that I felt really aged me. I started getting Botox to treat the lines, and I’ve noticed SUCH a a difference to my deep set wrinkles with consistent use and good quality skin care. Sure it sucks to pay for Botox but I budget for it and it really has improved my confidence. I doubt red light would give me this outcome 😂
I have hooded eyes so I'm having the same issue at 27 but I'm going to try microneedling :/
"Exactly what I needed! My skincare game is getting stronger. Can’t wait for your next video!"
Good morning Dr Dray ❤

I have a few windows open so I might have to pry the kitties away from them for their cuddles. They're enjoying the fresh air. Let's all relax together and have a naughty treat too. I hope you are doing well and that you have a wonderful evening. Sweet dreams, my friend. Peace, joy and many blessings to you always. 💚🕊💚🙏💚☕🐈🐈💚🍰🌷🌿
I have done botox a few times.(by a plastic surgeon and once at a med spa) I really sort of hate when i can't move my face. I'd love to try red light therapy. I grew up in Fl and live here today so I suppose I should make the investment. Great video. TY
Thanks Dr Dray! Do red light masks carry EMF risk?
Can you give eye protection recommendations for red light therapy?
I'm Always Using EyesCream Good Education Thanks From MiAe
I didn't track anything for lines, but am starting to do it now to see if I notice a difference over time.
what about using a panel of red lights instead of a handheld device that you have to spend a lot of time with?
Thanks DR. Dray. you look great! May I ask if you get botox? just out of curiousity 😃
I see a bunch of comments here from people liking their Omnilux. I have no experience with it though.
Want to slow the ageing of your eyes?
Hi, can you replace tretinoin with red light therapy?
they adress different issues
Ok but what about using retinol and red light masks?! Can we use them as part of our skincare routine?
Curious about this as well, can i do both?
Dr Dray, would using the Omnilux on the scalp yield the same effect (as iRestore) for hair regrowth?
Red light therapy has truly transformed my health and skin, and I owe it to the incredible effectiveness of the Future Form Official panel from Norway. It's simple to incorporate into my routine, and the results have been remarkable. Plus, considering the noticeable improvements, it's definitely a worthwhile investment. Big thanks to Dr. Dray for the info!
Which one is good ?! Please help us buy the right one or a good one
Red light bulbs are NOT the same.
I am trying the IRestore helmet now but maybe I need the omnilux as well. Can't wait for you to try it again and I need to find your review on that
You convinced me to wear sunglasses regularly in past videos. Thank you!!!!
I am so happy big sun glasses are coming back. I love a good set that covers half your fave 😊
You’re a life saver honestly I love your channel ❤️
I also have a great tip for people hoping to avoid the elevens permanently: don't worry, don't suffer, don't feel empathy, don't take people seriously, don't listen with heightened focus and don't look at things closely- you will be wrinkle free much longer than your peers😅
Embrace indifference!
And dont read or write for a living
Higher dose is great!
@db-gb5xi so which one is the cheapest/most expensive? I know I can check, but you might know the range.
Cheapest is DMH (but it's a different type of mask); most expensive is Dr. Dennis Gross at $455. But the majority range between $329-$395.@@apip6387
I am noticing that red light enhance the dark spots that usally I see in summer only, How come?
Can you use retinols with red light therapy? Also what do you think about eye protection with the at home masks? I have sensitive eyes.
Dr Dray will you produce a video on the benefits of Red-Light Therapy for people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis?
