    By the way, an even cheaper alternative to Frownies, is just a roll of kinesiology tape. It has a peel off backing instead of a glue that you need to wet, but the end result is very much the same. It definitely holds your muscles in check.
    You can find it in the sporting goods section of Walmart. I thought it would be near the bandages and first aid, but it is a muscle tape that is usually used by athletes. It comes in a roll, and you can cut it to suit your purposes.

    I use a silicone patch that covers my entire forehead. Got it on Amazon. It’s reusable and she’s right, when you take it off in the morning, your skin is much smoother. But, of course, within an hour, it’s all back to normal. I’ve been using the silicone patch for a month but don’t notice a difference that lasts, yet.

      The silicone doesn’t hold the muscles frownies. They just temporary plump by holding water/sweat under the silicone on the skin. Frownies actually do help change the muscles. The source of the wrinkles

      @@rickta24 Exactly! The silicone patches do have a use, especially if you are very dry, but they absolutely do not have the same function as the frowny's.

    I like frownies. They do work, not as well as Botox of course, but Botox is temporary and it’s a toxin. I do like its effects, but this is a way less invasive approach! I am now buying the one peptide, it’s on order. The blue one. I am 58 , I take very good care of myself and while I have some lines , I am not wrinkled. I don’t drink and I eat a healthy diet. I also exercise everyday.

      Hiya @thepeacefulprof depending on where your based, I'm in the UK. I use 'CHOKAS' Kinesiology tape for my forehead as it's a nice thickness and sticks well, doesn't feel painful to peel off, leaves no marks. However I also like strips on my neck and on my chest but that brand pulls the skin and leaves red marks behind for days. So I use 'CKeep' Kinesiology tape for those areas as it's softer and a bit thinner - easier to peel off without leaving red marks behind.
      Hope that helps!

      Does it leave a sticky outline? I tried Smoothies (facial patches) and they always left a little residue on my skin which was impossible to remove. It could be seen even when after I put on foundation. The Frownies don't do that. I would love to have something cheaper than Frownies.

    • @TinybirdPauline
      @TinybirdPauline 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @user-xp9ry8yh9z occasionally I have had that happen with the physio tape but not often, less so than the patches. I never had sticky residue on the forehead but did get it once or twice on my neck and chest. I wear bloom body face tape for under my eyes as it's ok for delicate eye areas, and I get sticky residue now and then from that. I don't wear foundation, but I do pop on some fake tan and I haven't seen any marks from using physio tape. :)

Just training yourself to not make those facial expressions, you can still make facial expressions mine are just more toned down and i use my mouth or eyes to show those expressions that do not involve my forehead

    It is tragic that we live in a society that engenders insecurity, low self esteem and a lack of acceptance of one’s unique phenotypic traits. Although I currently do not have forehead wrinkles, but if I did, I would be fine with them. My body is aging, which is a normal process. You can use creams, serums, facial exercises, Botox treatments, and plastic surgery, but if you live long enough, you will lose the aging race. I say embrace your wrinkle forehead, gray hair, flabby skin and whatever else that this society wants to make you feel insecure about.

      @@barbarar5869 I did a lot of research on this and it’s a common misconception that copper peptide should not be used with a retinoid. If you spend an hour doing a search of this “copper peptide and tretinoin” you will find dermatologists who say the two work well together.
      Now I would not start a copper peptide with a retinoid. I’d alternate nights between the copper peptide and the retinoid to give your face time to adjust to the copper peptide before using them both in your pm routine.

Nothing will erase those deep wrinkles, but I can feel it pulling for a few hours (sometimes overnight, sometimes an hour so so) so I know I used those muscles often. Too scared to try botox since I see so many people online reporting iatrogenic botulism after botox injections so I just made it a resolution to try train myself not to move my forehead too much. I used to have a lot of gestures but now that I became aware of it, I do it less and less. When I catch myself raising eyebrows I immediatly relax my forehead. In the long term i think it could lead to a lot of benefits
