It is a love song written by a rock band from all angles of the song when you think about it. Now in this modern time, hardly anyone can write and play their own rock music like these rock bands. Got to admire their talents! I love the song even I was not born during the a rock bands were all over the world. I am their fan for a few years now. The words in their song are so true though! Women, women, lots of pretty women Men, men, they can't live without them Women, women, lots of pretty women Men, men, they can't live without them Skin on skin, let the love begin ....
I came back here to refresh my memory. I thought it was Steve Clark who played the solo here but I was wrong. It's the lick that starts at 3:24 that sticks in my mind after all these years. I was wondering how it was played.

God made woman from Adam. can you imagine how fine Eve must have been? Great song and great lyrics. Respect to all the women in the world and to the ones rocking to this masterpiece.
GOD gave you Women…. Not I….🤦♀️ Hysteria 🧡 Album 💿 that changed Rock and Def Leppard 🥰 Shocked them and others but.. Look at them now! Still Rocking in 2023 and doing a Fine Job! ♥️DL
Thankyou for this lyrics."I can't hardly understand the song since they are "yelling".but do not get me wrong.they are great in playing thier* instrument. and also this song was nice if they wrote ✍️ it themselves.
This is one of my favorite songs. I can't believe that it was not a number one hit. I didn't appreciate it back in the 80's, but realize now how awesome the lyrics, guitar, bass. Everything!
2:01 Worship Our Master’s Every Need. Women! Women! We can’t live without them! My absolute favorite song by Def Leppard. They Got Me. Still Have Me. So HE came up with an answer, Here’s what it cost…. One part love, One part wild. One part lady, One part child I give you… WOMEN.
samhouston1979 they were custom shop les Paul’s modeled after the famous black beauty with three pickups . Creates a more versatile sound with the third pickup . Peter framptons famous 1954 Gibson Les Paul custom has three pickups too !
samhouston1979......'The Riffmaster'....aka Steven Maynard Clark 'was' Leppard. Their lack of success post his incalculable loss with his death is evidence of this fact. Steve was the primary songwriter for this band, he created some of the most intricate melodies, harmonies, his riffing heavy was, strapped so low just rock star cool, his hooks, bends, he had it all and on stage he zipped around and dazzled. Steve went through many guitars, he worshipped Page, hence his love and use of LP Gibsons prImarily but he also used a range of guitars, his 18 string razors, one a white with kahler tremolo was sensational, the other a red one, Thunderbirds, one a bright red with triple pick ups has only ever appeared in a videos not live. If you want to see Steve's rig and how it changed from 1978 until his death and the final 'In The Round/Face Tour' I suggest you visit a website called "In loving memory Steve Clark". Steve did use Strats and Teles in the studio also. The other great iconic guitarist to use triple pick ups on his customs, and a few early LP Standards is the great man Space Ace Frehley. The difference between these tow icons is Ace's middle pick up is a dummy, whereas Steve used three.
Fantastic Song. Love the riff and the end just brings the song together and makes it great. Great way to start Hysteria too! DEF LEPPARD IS THE BEST BAND EVER!
Дамы и господа!- никогда не стирал с кассет denon этих гениев рока 83 год и 86 год- браво ,сейчас 2024 и это улёт!!!!!!!!!! Да будет свет в этом темном туннели наших дней , всем добра!!!
It's hard for those younger nowadays to understand the struggle of the late 70s and then 80s bands. As mutitrack recording became more complicated and its boundaries were pushed, electronics and digital recording moved in. The studio itself became an instrument. On Pyromania and Hysteria, Lange pushed Def Leppard into levels of perfection that would have been considered insane a decade before unless you were Steely Dan with an army of elite session musicians. Drums were recorded and then re-recorded with just the parts drum machines couldn't do. Like Page on the later Zeppelin albums, several guitars were layered. Yet the live shows proved it could be done live and with energy. They redefined hard rock.
I can't believe this song "flopped" when it was released...it's a freakin classic! Hard hitting, crunchy...solid as hell! Just an immense and voluptuous sound. Music just doesn't sound like this anymore. Run Riot is also incredible...I just love these guys!
This WAS 1 of the 1st released songs off that album ! Why , it wasn't getting the fame as the others ! To me , it's BETTER then the great hit , " Pour Some Sugar on Me " ? BUT , maybe it's just me on that part ?
Great for rock radio, wasn't going to hook mainstream audiences in after four years away. Most countries went with 'Animal' as the lead single and that worked much better.
A great song Joe Elliott has a powerful beautiful voice one of the greatest song writer in hard rock music. Steve Clark one of the greatest guitar players in hard rock music great guitar solo . I love you Steve Clark RIP 😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🌹🌹❤️❤️🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🎸🌹
Steve was a fucking genius, he was the primary song writer, and he came up with what remain stunning epic harmonies, melodies, hooks, bends and riffs. "The Riffmasters" loss remains a loss that is un-quantifiable.
I just watched the video of DEF LEPPARD , Women!! I'm 60 years old and I think this is one of the very best songs that they did. Can Do !!!! Seabees!!!!
At 17 I knew this video was dropping any day . Had to go on road trip with my mom out of state. Got to my aunt's house. 1st thing I say is Hi Aunt Marie. YOU HAVE MTV??? She did and it stayed on till I got to see it. Remember sitting in awe in her living room like it was yesterday. Still my favorite album all time. Damn I miss the 80s.
I remember watching this video when it first aired on MTV and I instantly fell in love with Def Lep. Rick Savage adorned my walls throughout all my teens. I still love them!!! I go see them every year at Jones Beach!!!!!
That intro where he's yelling and he sounds like a freakin guitar...are you kidding me?? This song is so epic, I can't get over it. This song is an amazing rock n roll primal yell from the 80's, and I love every second of it! Def Leppard forever!!
I bought this album a few weeks after it was released in '87. A lot of people said it was over produced, but I think it sounds awesome, even 33 years later.
One would think it might be overproduced, and it does have an 80s sound , but that’s NOT a bad thing. It is a masterpiece,IMO , too - I kind of lean on Pyromania as a better album , but Hysteria is about equally as great. The melodies and rhythms on this album are very catchy - I think they wanted to go for broke with everything Rick Allen went thru - and they proved themselves. A lot of the writing is standard RnR , it’s just that they have a way of “nailing it down” , it’s so infectious. 1987 was my HS years , and I wouldn’t trade those times for anything
The solo at the end is bloody brilliant. Gives chills. Today's music. No match in front of this. There are some bands that age like fine wine. Maiden and Def Leppard are some of them
One of my very favorite Def Leppard songs. I love the lyrics. They're singing/ celebrating women all over the world. Can't wait to see you guys again Oct 2020 . See you in Portland, Oregon at the Moda Center.
The fact that this band always sang giant portions of their songs together, in harmony...is why I fell in love with them in the 80's
thats what set the 80's on fire was vocal & guitar harmonies, so so good
They ruled the heavy metal world 1987-1989 because of great songs like this
A melodic style back in the 80's
No harmony anymore its who can scream loudest
Yes its a masterpiece
This whole album is a complete masterpiece..
So right ……

In the beginning, God made the land
Then he made the water and creatures, then he made man
He was born with a passion, love and hate
A restless spirit with a need for a mate
But there was something missing, something lost
So he came with the answer, here's what it cost
One part love, one part wild, one part lady, one part child
[Chorus]
I give you (Women, women)
Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can't live without them
(Women, women) Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can't live without them
[Verse 2]
And in the garden, lust began
The animal instinct, the wanton man
She fed him with a hunger, an appetite
And filling with emotion he took a bite
It was one part love, one part child
One part lover, one part wild
[Chorus]
I give you (Women, women)
Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can't live without them
(Women, women) Lots of pretty women
(Men, men) They can't live without them
[Bridge]
Skin on skin
Let the love begin
Women
[Verse 3]
It was one part love, one part wild
One part lover, one part child
A whole lot of fire, a little bit of ice
A whole lot of something you can't sacrifice
[Outro]
(I give you) Hair, eyes, skin on skin
(Legs) Legs
(Thighs) Thighs
What's that spell? (Spell, what's that spell?)
(What's that spell?) What's that spell?
(What's that spell?) (Women, women)
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
(Women) Women
(Women) Calling every girl
(Women, women) All around the world
(Women) Women
(Women) Oh, we can't live without them
(Women) Women
Written By Joe Elliott, Richard Savage, Phil Collen, Steve Clark & Robert John Lange
Album Hysteria (1987)
God, is a girl..God,is a woman. Women aren't made from dirt/dust. Women are different species than men.
🤨😏😝
God made woman from Adam. can you imagine how fine Eve must have been? Great song and great lyrics. Respect to all the women in the world and to the ones rocking to this masterpiece.
GOD gave you Women…. Not I….🤦♀️ Hysteria 🧡 Album 💿 that changed Rock and Def Leppard 🥰 Shocked them and others but.. Look at them now! Still Rocking in 2023 and doing a Fine Job! ♥️DL
Lo mejor de los 80 Amo a def Leppard
Thankyou for this lyrics."I can't hardly understand the song since they are "yelling".but do not get me wrong.they are great in playing thier* instrument. and also this song was nice if they wrote ✍️ it themselves.
This is one of my favorite songs. I can't believe that it was not a number one hit. I didn't appreciate it back in the 80's, but realize now how awesome the lyrics, guitar, bass. Everything!

My absolute favorite song by Def Leppard.
They Got Me.
Still Have Me.
So HE came up with an answer,
Here’s what it cost….
One part love,
One part wild.
One part lady,
One part child
I give you…
WOMEN.
This has a killer bass line
R.I.P Steve Clark
Love this song anyone listening January 2020?
I’ve never seen more guitar pickups than on his guitars
I kept on listening even until now diehard fan of Def Leppard🎤🎸
samhouston1979 they were custom shop les Paul’s modeled after the famous black beauty with three pickups .
NO! I am listening in May of 2020!!! 😀😂😎✌️
Fantastic Song. Love the riff and the end just brings the song together and makes it great. Great way to start Hysteria too!
DEF LEPPARD IS THE BEST BAND EVER!
That bass is savage🤘💯
This band is spectacular live. One of my favorite bands.
The best rock band ever ❤
Definitely 🎸 🎶
I can't believe this song "flopped" when it was released...it's a freakin classic! Hard hitting, crunchy...solid as hell! Just an immense and voluptuous sound. Music just doesn't sound like this anymore. Run Riot is also incredible...I just love these guys!
They're most underrated song on this album is don't shoot shotgun.
This WAS 1 of the 1st released songs off that album ! Why , it wasn't getting the fame as the others ! To me , it's BETTER then the great hit , " Pour Some Sugar on Me " ? BUT , maybe it's just me on that part ?
I just commented on that. I liked it immediately. Many people didn’t.
Great for rock radio, wasn't going to hook mainstream audiences in after four years away. Most countries went with 'Animal' as the lead single and that worked much better.
@@azapro911 Very true.
Best album they ever did ❤
The song that started the 35 million plus juggernaut that is Hysteria. Still an amazing album to this day.
last solo is eargasm...
Agree, it was unexpected and brilliant... What a beginning, what an ending.. My favorite def leppard song (and I like all of their songs)
My favorite DEF LEPPARD song.
They are the one band who have songs hit after hit. Classic Def Leppard 👌😃💖🤩
The best band forever
so true
Jussi S amen
Absolutely
I saw them in Reno in 1980.opened for pat travers.they rocked then and got a whole lot better.
Yes the best band ever🤘
Steve Clarke is tearing up the cord's, Missing you Steve Clarke 🎸✌️❤️
One part love, one part wild
One part lady, one part child
An amazing track from beginning to end.
We Miss You Steamin Steve Clark. The Riffmaster That Made The Music Groove. He Was The Backbone Of Def Leppard.
Steve Clark was a fucking genius.
He wrote all the guitar riffs.
FYI, he's the guy in the white jeans.
Steve was a fucking genius, he was the primary song writer, and he came up with what remain stunning epic harmonies, melodies, hooks, bends and riffs. "The Riffmasters" loss remains a loss that is un-quantifiable.
Through his chaos and destruction he created order and masterpieces.
Best song on the record!
@@ScottyKirk1 well said lad
RIP. 30 years now, if you can believe it.
BEST DRUMMER EVER!
+Stuart Poovey Def Leppard's new song Let's Go is amazing!

def lepard the best of the best
10 de junio del 2024 sigo escuchando esta belleza de obra musical ❤❤❤❤Def Leppard lo mejor por siempre
I just watched the video of DEF LEPPARD , Women!! I'm 60 years old and I think this is one of the very best songs that they did. Can Do !!!! Seabees!!!!
I understand. I graduated High school in 1988. Thank God I was born a Gen X'r. Today's generations are ridiculously shameful.
extraordinario grupo sublime, nada más que decir viva los 80 aunque yo tenía 10 o 12 años para cuando salió este disco, lo escuchaba todos los días con mi hermano
Es verdad los 80 era musica perfecta ahora es solo basura
Def Leppard, One Rockin Band🎸🎸🎸🥁🎤🤘🤘
FANTASTIC VIDEO AND SONG BY DEF LEPPARD. ❤🎉
RICK YOU PLAY DRUMS WITH ONE ARM BETTER THAN TWO ARM DRMMERS. 🎉❤❤.
What a hell of a way to kick off an album, absolutely brilliant song.
Love def leppard always
The guitar in this song is incredable
My God love love love!♥️
Dedicated to us women!
Thank you guys!👍🤟🎸♥️
We can´t live without you, but not too close haha
@@Ernesto1317 Really?
OMG, I get this feeling deep inside me, when this song starts, another masterpiece....
This is the real Def Leppard. The only Def Leppard.
ClayMation no. the real def leppard is the first 3 albums

How this song never did well as the lead off single is beyond me, it is my favourite off this album and one of my all time favourites of theirs
Their sound was so cool with the two guitars. Classic!
This melody, lyrics... This is music!
That intro where he's yelling and he sounds like a freakin guitar...are you kidding me?? This song is so epic, I can't get over it.
This song is an amazing rock n roll primal yell from the 80's, and I love every second of it! Def Leppard forever!!
Thx
One thing I always loved about Def Leppard is that they harmonize well together ❤ 😃
Most people lose an arm and have to give up on what they used to do. Rick Allen just got better!
Your right gf
I’m a guitarist and Rick Allen is my favorite drummer. (Alex Van Halen is my second)
Hysteria Is The Greatest Rock Album Ever Recorded. 👈🎵🎸😎
Listen to High n Dry then check their ages! All born to be great musicians!!
As a guitarist I love the compressed eighties tone on this album
So many good memories from the 80s, with Def Leppard playing.
I agree 100 %. Tough seeing Steve in these videos. You died too young mate. To my teenage Def Leppard years in Toronto.
Here again, I don't always listen to Def Leppard, but when I do, so do the Neighbors.
Saw them at starwood Amphitheater in Nashville Tennessee
@@jenniferwalsh4725 jamming at the moment lol so is my neighborhood

Best Def Leppard album ever.

В том самом 1987 г. Этот альбом звучал из всех окон ! Это был настоящий шедевр !!? И тогда и сейчас !!!
Beautiful song dedicated to all beautiful 😻 smart women ! Sad 😞 there are not more song like this !
Лучший альбом этих парней!!!и с точки зрения мелодии и текста. Он очень удивил меня и до сих пор удивляет. Это Мега работа и альбом🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Omg!!! That song was f***ing awesome!!! Never heard it before. Let's protest that we all have to go back to the 80s right now!!!!!!!!!
And her art work is beautiful
i love def leppard
80s never gets old
def Leppard rocks forever
I say yes. They do rock.
Fantastic
I bought this album a few weeks after it was released in '87. A lot of people said it was over produced, but I think it sounds awesome, even 33 years later.
They probably had covid before we eve knew it was a thing...no taste
A lot of people were wrong Hysteria was Def Leppard's masterpiece.
And I love her just the way she is.......
The solo at the end is bloody brilliant. Gives chills. Today's music. No match in front of this. There are some bands that age like fine wine. Maiden and Def Leppard are some of them
Such an underrated rock classic.
One of my very favorite Def Leppard songs. I love the lyrics. They're singing/ celebrating women all over the world. Can't wait to see you guys again Oct 2020 . See you in Portland, Oregon at the Moda Center.
Such a powerful song!
Hot DAMN I love this music! Brings it all back 🥰🔥
This album was the cherry on top for them
I love their first 3 albums as well
Love DefLeppard....
