even though it’s minimal i love the editing in your videos. from the intros, to the way you crop your camera (love the rounded edges) and the subtle edits throughout your videos when they pop up. very underrated and i appreciate it a ton!
My brother and I are RE4 fanatics, we played the original non-stop when we were younger. Now we are in love with the remake, they did such a great job with it. My brother found your channel and showed it to me. Ever since, whenever you post a new video we have to check in with each other, "Did you watch Amber's new vid yet??" You're such great fun to watch! So happy you've been enjoying a game that we've loved from childhood. 😊
Luis' story is pretty sad when you realize he was the kid from the village you found the family photo of. Who dreamt of stories of knights saving princesses, was very smart at a young age but couldn't really use his intelligence living in a remote village, and ran away after his only remaining family died. Eventually turning into a scholar like his grandfather hoped, unintentionally using it to destroy the people from his hometown.
Fun fact; if you have a golden egg (trick only works with the golden egg iirc) in the Ramon fight, you can throw it at the body weakspot and it'll do like 70%+ damage to his healthbar, because apparently he's allergic to eggs lmaoooo
There are only two golden eggs in the game. One from the lake in the Village, and one from the Castle throne room. Slap him with both eggs, on any difficulty, and he just gets deleted. Easiest to hit him at the very start because he waltzes straight at you and pauses for a moment, so it's the prime opportunity to egg him

I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part... Now, many years later, when I see how successful those remakes are I can't forgive myself for wasting such a chance. In this business one audition can change your entire life. Great videos btw! :)

Going back in the village with a maxed out riot gun and destroying those annoying villagers is a scream. And then there’s all the unlockable weapons etc. You’re too hard on yourself sometimes. You did better than me the first time with Salazar. Died so many times. Looking forward to the next one.
I honestly cried when Leon lit the cigarette for Luis. He was so antismoking but put that aside for his friend's dying moments which was sad in itself.
I love how despite literally seeing it in the opening cutscene it flew over her Head that yes it was indeed Krauser who trained Leon in the remake it even showed Krauser training him but understandable she didn't put 2 and 2 together then. Whereas in the original RE4 Krauser was a old field partner of Leon's that in the OG as well he joined the Los Illuminados and all that jazz. So in both versions when Leon finds out it was Krauser it's personal. Also yes the little boy in that photo you found in the beginning of the game next to the old man was indeed Luis and the old man was his grandfather. In the OG RE4 they only briefly mention his grandfather but for the remake they fleshed out Luis's backstory more to make him more prominent,important,etc which obviously worked cuz Luis is now a fan favorite character in the remake due to making him more significant,etc in this version.
I really love the way you play this game and how you don't let any small attention escape your attention I can't wait to see you face what's coming next episode
57:35 it's honestly astounding that you connected all the dots in that way, so quickly (I mean, not that astounding, at this point I'm kind of used to your keen perceptiveness, but you get what I mean); the first time I got there, I had forgotten about the piece in the diary about Don Quixote and the kid, so I never drew the connection and just thought "they must have gone for some recognizable Spanish references" and thought Luis was gonna get explained and expanded upon later, in end-game documents, like this series often does.
The wait for this part felt so long! Was so happy to see this. ❤️ you’re super close to the end now, just one final push! Can’t wait for the next one, I think most of us have been looking forward to what you’ll encounter in the next chapter 😄 And about Krauser and the mention of Operation Javier, it is actually a side game called The Darkside Chronicles that was released after the original RE4 as a prequel exclusively on the Wii 😂 so it was much the same on the original, Krauser just showed up and everyone was like, who TF is this guy??? But in the original Operation Javier was never mentioned, so hearing them actually talk about it in the remake was pretty wild, as it’s never been clear if Darkside and Umbrella Chronicles are considered ‘canon’. RE lore is pretty chaotic and it’s best to just embrace it lol.
Theres an on-rail shooter game for Wii and PSmove called Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles; one of the campaigns in that shows what happened during Operation Javior where Leon and Krauser were partners.
In the time between you starting this game and when this video came out, I've gotten the game myself and it's been fun to compare our results at the end. You are doing significantly better than me lol

49:43 it does seem crazy but during new game plus you keep all your weapons so there will eventually be no need to collect treasure for upgrading then you can just speed run the game... Until proffessional mode where the amount of saves on your file count towards your rank so it will need a fresh save to get a high score
A little Easter "egg"/ speedrun strat you can also do is throw a golden egg at the Salazar boss and it does like 75% of his health if you directly hit him 😂

I’ve loved watching all of your RE videos I’m glad you decided to stick with this game I hope you play Ada’s side of the story with the Separate Ways DLC personal I think it’s really fun and fleshes out some of details as well as Ada’s changes as a character really well while being just a good DLC I think I’ve played it at 4 times doing different challenges and stuff cause it’s honestly not that long

I honestly think i had about 20 deaths on that one..
I played the game with pistol and knife only no heals no merchant and under 8 hours. That fight was a nightmare.
She is almost done ... replayability does not count for a normal Let's Play.

The chicken charm gave +100% to how much it healed (so it doubled it). It doesn't give you 100% health

There is still Ada's playable side story DLC you have to play to get the full Resident Evil 4 experience!
