It just occured to me, for the first time, that maybe the protagonist isn't saying anything out loud as to not disturb his documentary, and not put his subjective impressions into the raw footage. Professionalism.
You should play SOMA. Whether it fits into a spooky game season or you just feel like playing something spooky in the future. It's easily one of my favorite games, and I'm not really a horror guy. It's only like 10 hours, it's got tons of environmental storytelling, and it's a really meaningful story. Outlast is one of the more successful games to ride the coattails of Amnesia, I think. And SOMA is by the same studio as Amnesia. It's a game I think you would really be able to appreciate, with how attentive you are. It's one of those games where you should learn just enough about it to decide to play it, but otherwise go in blind.
One of the things I love about this game is that the main story and the DLC happen at the exact same time which is so cool and I haven't seen that in another game

I think it’s ridiculous people go crazy in the comments like that. Bloopers and little things are highlights to some channels and their play through, it’s unique. I’m a mod in another YT channel, trying to keep spoilers and haters to a minimum so I can relate to seeing some unsavory behaviors. I’m loving the channel and play throughs, all great work.

This is one of my favorite horror games. The DLC’s reaaallllly good too the way it ties everything together. I used to stay away from anything first-person too until i played enough that i’m somewhat used to them. I do turn off head bobbing in settings if it has that. Enjoy your first playthrough!!! ❤

ive been binging your bloodborne and dark souls playthroughs after watching silent hill. its been quite enjoyable! and now this. outlast was one of the first titles i got for ps4 when it launched.
Can't wait to see the rest of the Outlast videos! Outlast 2 is also worth playing, though most people prefer the story in the first game. Also, I appreciate the extra effort with the costume👍

First person horror game with a camera? Oh it's THIS scary game. I should have noped the F out of this video, but then Amber asked a headless corpse if he’s ok and needs help with his books - it went from terrifying to hilarious instantly. So I’m gonna watch it, suffering and laughing at the same time and enjoying fantastic costumes! The editor Amber costume was spot on!

Is it because they're in space? A of them don't share any DNA between them. The outlast comparison at least makes sense because they're both hide and seek games, it's just isolation has more to it than outlast.
@@athtarasterios9695 Different Atmosphere for all 3 games. Dead space is quite action oriented, it has constant noises and has a fairly fast flow. Alien isolation is more of a survival horror, the noises are more subtle and there is a constant tension when roaming about with the alien. Prey is quite explorer heavy, while it has horror themes, it's more like half life and bioshock. I should add to explain that, it has elements of horror in the game but primarily focuses on other genres.RPG stats matter when exploring and reading logs or interacting with computers will give bonuses to how to get to places or pass codes.

Alien is on the extreme in terms of horror and is probably the only game I'll never replay because it was too stressful. I was still unnerved by the other two to the very end including the sounds. Idk, the creatures from Prey kind of freaked me out a bit. :')
Welp, good luck. This is the most terrifying game I've ever played. I could only get through this game because I just became desensitised to the constant terror and jump scares. Alien: Isolation is a better game but definitely not as terrifying. Amnesia: The Dark Descent would probably be the closest but even then I'd rather replay Amnesia than ever give this a second playthrough.
I'm glad you're playing this game and not me. I really enjoy the playthrough but I am an absolute coward when it comes to horror games, and just watching the video is enough to know that I will never, ever play this game. Good videos though.
