I’ve beaten this game so many times I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many but you know what I don’t think I’ve ever used the mine thrower for some reason. If I have I’ve used it like maybe once but that’s it for whatever reason I’ve just never tried it
@@ProxyDougin a normal run? Not worth it since even if the games adaptive difficulty and drop system, you don't really ever get enough ammo to make it viable. It's better in the remake (since it's been completely buffed) but you'll have a God awful time in the classic version if you were mine thrower only
The pack of wolves in the gigante arena must retain the aggro of the crows they replaced. As long as you dont startle the crows, the wolves dont aggro. Which is why shooting anything triggered them. Super interesting. I really thought that was going to be a soft lock.

Tripwires get randomized too. Also, the game won't (random) drop ammo for weapons you don't have. This is why you're getting so much Shotgun ammo. It also won't drop an ammo type before the player would normally be able to get the associated weapons, which is why even if you started with a Rifle or TMP, you wouldn't find any ammo for them until they available naturally in 1-2.

What happened with El Gigante boss fight is this: - As one would expect entering the stage triggered the cutscene. - However, since the enemy was randomised and it wasn't a Gigante the game simply assumed that the boss was dead, so immediately it played the death cutscene, which made de doors open. - Then Max spawned in the stage with the doors already opened, but the randomised enemy in place (the enemy was IT from the dropping platforms boss fight). - Since Max left the area, which he could do because the Gigante death cutscene played, the game considered that part of the game to be already completed since you normally can't get out of there during the fight. So the IT disappeared.
@@JoJoZiddy the ai is pretty good actually in some parts like it is good with a sniper rifle. I like resident evil 6 the most but I just like the multiplayer on there more.

I would have reset with such bad rng on weapon and ammo without a second thought, but max kept playing despite everything that could go wrong, going wrong. Not sure if Max is missing stuff on purpose to make the run even harder, or if his memory just sucks, lol! Some blue medals can be knifed, to help unlock the Punisher handgun faster (needs 10 out of 15), eggs and loot disappear quickly, so need to grab ASAP, and missing barrels you already noticed before dying and retrying areas. Also, missing a golden egg and taking a large bass while just leaving 3 small fish behind, and that's just to start! What a friggin' legend! Edit: At 1:19.27 - "I need another fish..." LMFAO! Also: The mine thrower does not use conventional ammo, it uses body parts of enemies (i.e.- you get ammo refill for defeating enemies!), hence why the merchant says you need "guts" to use the weapon. So many great parts of this vid, but the "dog puzzle" might have legitimately been the best thing I have witnessed in RE4 in many a playthrough. Haven't laughed so much in months! That Verdugo part was awesome too. Thanks Max!

Any weapon in RE4 can be a valid choice actually, but typically less people choose to use the mine thrower and TMP than other weapons like the rifle and shotgun variants, so they become known as "meme" weapons by the larger community simply because they are not the popular or "meta" choice.
