Hello Greg, was wondering whether you would be interested making a video about apple’s product user group. I follow the usual “tech” channels and podcast and see that it is heavily geared towards and made by nerdy kind of background (e.gl heavy pc/computer users). But last time I try to figure out whether my Apple Pencil should get a sleeve or not and realise that those videos / channels are mostly occupied by students / artists who uses their devices quite differently. It was also striking that their videos are not always straight lines and clean symmetric b roll, but more wavy lines, alternate font types en lots of pastel colours. So I was wondering whether you know or interested in sharing perhaps the wide range of users. Sometimes I think the “tech” videos do remain often in their own bubble where we continue to discuss usb-c ports rather than what people actually do with the new products or features.

Seeing this, maybe I should go ahead and go for the Samsung phones instead. Yes, there are many great things iPhones can do, but I’m currently on a tight budget and need a new phone.
iPhones offer better value overall. Hardware is stronger and you get more security and software updates. And you have a better chance of selling it on the used market, which in turn might save you more than if you bought a somewhat cheaper samsung. If you want performance and up to date features iPhones are better in the long run. For example Samsung's A53 gets 4 years of security and software updates, in contrast newer iPhones might get 8 years. The standard iPhone's price is roughly the double of the A53, which in turn means that if you plan to use the iPhone for its maximum supported time, the A53 and iPhone share the value, but the iPhone offers much better specs in terms of hardware (in the first few years of usage, depending on how much you use it, it might get really rough to use in the later years).

0:08 hey why did you steal my phone and take it apart ☹️
To say for now as Apple also benefits from Foxconn to make their phones, as now Foxconn bought Sharp; either way Apple always choose their best suppliers to make their phones, even Sony sensors for their cameras.
Also "Samsung" in actuality is several different companies.
Sometimes I think the “tech” videos do remain often in their own bubble where we continue to discuss usb-c ports rather than what people actually do with the new products or features.
i guess "think different" is still going strong amongst the user base haha

I don’t understand why when we talk about Apple And Samsung or Apple and Android it’s always expressed like their is anger between them. I’m probably not explaining myself right . But I feel their is more than enough room in the markets for everyone that wants to try to produce a good product. My guess is the majority of people think they’re is this negative rivalry because of the advertising that is constantly shoved down our throats. When in reality Apple and Google are actually working together in many ways, and they both benefit greatly from it. Sorry for changing companies their, but once again it doesn’t matter which two companies do you match up, their probably in bed together(as the old saying goes) . And there’s no negativity other than between customers sometimes.

Does this mean that if you buy a iPhone 14 Pro there’s a 30% chance it’ll be a different display than one provided by Samsung? Or does the Pro models all use Samsung and like the regular model - accounting for 30% - uses other displays?
Yes, all the higher-end models use Samsung Display's highest-resolution OLEDs while some are supplied by LG, BOE only produces the display for the vanilla iPhone 14 models which is the outdated 60Hz screen.

Hello
My question is: The new M chip are made by TSMC too ?
Yes, TSMC is literally the only company that can manufacture chips this complex at the scale that is required for iPhones. Taiwan is really important for the whole world, just because of its vast microchip industry.

There’s Samsung Mobile and there’s Samsung Displays. They both operate under the same company, benefit from each other, and both have separate goals.
Samsung Mobile benefits from Samsung Displays. And Samsung Displays benefits from manufacturing both displays for their own mobile division and other manufacturers like Apple - saves them a lot of money.
Sort of like Midea and Haier. The manufacture for their own brands and manufacture for other brands. It’s a lot more cost effective to manufacture at a larger scale at once.
Who the hell said they operate under the same company?? Samsung Mobile is under *Samsung Electronics* and Samsung Display is under *Samsung SDI* which both are completely independent companies .....

WOW even LG isn't getting a big piece of the action?!? LG makes very good displays too!
Because almost all of the OLED patents are owned by Samsung, so LG also has to pay royalties to Samsung, which means LG has to sell more expensively to Apple.
If Samsung and Apple created an alliance (And, of course, Google would join in part) they’d be unstoppable. But sadly Apple has its filosofy so this is almost impossible
