I honestly didn't really plan on sitting and watching this entire hour-long interview, but these 2 legends kept me watching for the whole thing. It was awesome listening to them recount stories of their experiences past and a few details of their best friendships. INCREDIBLE! Thanks for this one, Nick! This was a real pleasure to watch.
I thought the exact same thing when I saw how long the video was, but I'll be darned if I didn't sit and watch the entire thing. I was actually wishing it could have been longer. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Wonderful listening to this,. Amazing how Jack recounts shots from some of his great wins; I'll bet, though, he still remembers some of those painful losses, like for ie. Watson's chip in at Pebble at 17, at US Open. A pleasure to watch this.
Just did the same thing - Jack wasn't my era but when it's story time with him I listen and it was free! I thought Nick did a great job too for his first "podcast"...
I've listened to Mr Nicklaus for forty five years and I don't think I've ever heard him talk other than common sense with wisdom dignity and respect. I met him in 2010 in Manchester and was a nervous wreck. I was present at his ceremony in St Andrews last year with my daughter. A day we will remember forever. Seen him play at the masters and many opens. Thanks for all the great shots!!!!

Oh my gosh this is so wonderful. I started playing golf in 1972 and tried my best to copy Jack’s swing, mental focus, and gentlemen demeanor. Brings a tear to my eye.
Somehow somewhere a long time ago, I had a little pocket-sized book of Nicklaus golf tips. I carried it in my bag and would pull it out to refer to. That was decades ago, and I can't find it anywhere. If I could, I'd pay good money to have that again. Old Jack. A legend, but also...hmmm, I got some issues with his politics. However, that said, no one can deny his Golden Greatness.

Last December, 2022, i was down with the dredded manflu.. so took the day off, spent it in bed and watched the TH-cam vid of the 86 masters.. from start to finish… truely amazing to watch! Bet it was great to watch live..
Incredible to listen to this. Two great competitors of the game. I always feel Nick Faldo never got the credit he deserves. The best player to come from Great Britain and one of the greats of all time. As for Jack, a special one off golfer whose records remain unbeaten. The greatest ever. Some fantastic insights and stories in this interview. Bravo!!🙏❤️.x
Two greats of the game. Sir Nick - please let Jack finish his sentence before talking over him or adding the “me too” etc. - I know you respect the man….
My absolute hero, Jack Nicklaus!!! I started playing, on Open Sunday 1969, having watched Jack shoot 68 around a windy Lytham on the Saturday on black & white TV. So, on the Sunday, I went to my local pitch & putt, and started my golfing life. Nearly 54 years later, I'm still playing, and still love the game every bit as much as I did then! Great interview Nick, you're another hero, and have made me a proud British, but, to me, Jack is absolutely my golfing hero. I can't, ever, thank him enough for introducing a 14 year old to a game that has become a lifelong passion!
I am in tears, because I love Jack Nicklaus so much. There’s no question about who is the greatest golfer ever, and I am talking about in every category possible, and by that I mean on and off the course. Jack is simply No 1 in virtually every category, the only exception is, the most travelled (Gary Player wins that one). His victory at Augusta National in 1986 is for me still the greatest and dramatic major win of all time, especially considering that he was 46 years of age!
An incredible treat. I would read his books and advice in magazines on golf as a teen, and then attended THE Ohio State University where Jack of course was a legend - he and Woody. Playing Scarlet & Grey golf courses, you heard the stories from those who knew him, and it was a thrill to hear about his abilities to cut corners and drive past sand traps. Then I was able to attend tour events and follow him, and see his game up close and personal. I remember I was lucky once down the fairway and his ball landed in the rough practically by my feet. The green was blocked by a tree, and Jack walked up, took literally a few seconds to assess the situation, and boom, made his swing hooked the ball out of the rough around the tree, pin high. He looked over at those of us around him, slight smile, and off he went. OMG. SKILL! Always a gentlemen to the crowds, always in control even when facing intense pressure and difficult shots, easily the greatest golfer who ever played the game and no better ambassador for the game. The intelligence he shows in this interview is amazing. Go Bucs!
When you've given to the game of golf as much as this man has, you have the right to speak whenever you want. I think it just shows his excitement to be chatting with the GOAT 😊 There is a mutual respect between these guys, and if that's what you took away from the video - maybe some time on course in the sun would do you some good 🌞🏌️
Jack has been a paragon of sportsmanship, honesty and humility on the golf course but I lost respect for him as a MAN when he went all in for DJT in 2020. He’s still the GOAT on the golf course, but to champion someone who is the opposite of one’s values is just sad.
True dat. It was a great disappointment for me since he was a hero to me as a kid. All I could finally conclude is that he's a product of his class: rich country club. Those are the folks and society he's been among his whole life, and he's going to think like them about social issues. Still think he's a decent guy, ESPECIALLY for a professional athlete, but he's got blinders on too about all the privilege he's enjoyed.
LIV doesn't want to eliminate the PGAT. Just like the PGAT didn't want to eliminate the PGA of America. They didn't even want to compete with them, but Jay wouldn't negotiate with LIV. He thought he would just squash LIV. He underestimated his opponent and brought a fly swatter to kill a hawk. That was a huge mistake. He should resign, and the PGAT should bring in someone to negotiate.
Mr. Nicklaus is all class and the smartest man to have ever played the game. He always knew his strengths, limitations and moreover he played intelligently. This is why he's won more majors and has had more seconds to boot. His complete record is Legendary. I saw him play at Glenn Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario Canada in 1977....it was the coolest thing at the time as I was just 16 years old. He was simply larger than life. Bravo Sir Nick ...Great chat ! Merci ! 👏👏👏😊👍🍷🇨🇦
Jack is always a treat. An honest man never too taken with himself but not artificially humble. Down to earth, not off on some stratospheric ego trip, generous and kind-spoken. I used to live on Singer Island, near his compound at Lost Tree Village, played golf with one of his neighbors at Seminole and regularly ran into Barbara at the Publix market. A great ambassador for golf and humanity. The success could not have come to a more deserving gentleman.
I will be 64 in August, I grew up watching Jack Nicklaus. I taught myself how to play by watching him . Still have a putter that says Jack Nicklaus on it . He will always be my favorite Golfer. Enjoyed the interview. Thank You
Unwatchable with Nick's constant interruptions and trying to finish Jack's sentences. Shut up and listen, Nick . . . but Faldo's never been any good at that. Loves the sound of his own voice too damned much.
This is gold. Jack is just a regular guy, can remember his 112 YD PW into 17 at Augusta in 86, but still had to think and calculate his marriage years. Lol, so awesome
In 1970 as a 10 year old boy in Spartanburg SC, I remember watching Jack win a tournament. I went outside that Sunday evening and started hitting a beat up old golf ball with a homemade club that I had taped together. It was drizzling rain but I stayed out there til dusk. One of my favorite memories. Jack inspired me.
This genuinely made me cry... I hold no ill will towards today's players, but you can definitely feel/hear/watch the love of the game from you guys. I don't follow the game today; I rarely even watch. I plan my next round, I visualize every shot, every bounce, every putt. I never really think about the score until after the round, I don't think about my playing partners and what they are doing. I think about what the course is giving me, and that's it. It's me against the course...
Gorgeous, gorgeous chat,....between two people so comfortable with themselves and each other. I love their reminiscence, their stories and their joy in recounting their sporting glory. Stories are so magical when told be the actors involved. More please Sir Nick!!! PennyXxx
A very bright and clear vision on the game. I loved to watch all of that generation, Jack, Arnold, Gary, Lee.... It is such a fine game, incomparable with any other sports.
@sirnickfaldo thank you and Jack for a wonderful interview. Two things that resonated with me was the story of you both picking up the game, just you and the game, no one else needed and learning by watching. I knew nothing about golf, not even the rules and what I learned was from watching golf on tv, watching Jack most of all through the mid 80s when I was 12-14 yrs old. I recently found a video Jack made « golf my way » and low and behold, there was my adult swing. 40 years later still the same swing. I was never a good golfer, but what I know of the game I owe to Jack.
Amazing - I could listen to both guys having a chat all day. Thanks Nick and Jack for everything you both did for so many years and I hear the passion in both your voices that make it so special. Most athletes I hear today sound annoyed and short with answers. I will definitely watch this over and over. Again, thanks so much.
This is a fantastic discussion between two professionals with integrity. Win or lose, they carry themselves with honor. And Jack is the best golfer of all time until someone can eclipse his 18 majors. I think Tiger would also agree.

Nick big fan, please let Jack speak, stop interrupting!!!!
What a great guy and well done interview. The best memory of his legacy is giving back to his charity. What a class act
This is THE best golf interview I’ve seen… amazing! Thank you to you both for being so generous.
Two class acts, living legends. Jack the Golden Goat. Excellent conversation.
Many thanks Sir Nick, an hour that exceeded my expectation, great stuff and I can’t wait for more. Thanks again.
What an epic conversation between the greatest and a proper legend. Such great ambassadors of our beloved game. I’m so proud to be a golfer.
I loved how much Jack Nicklaus enjoyed Peter Thomson's summary on the life of golf at 46:25.
It all started with a 3 wood and it ended with a 3 wood.
Golf is life; we start and end in diapers!
Last December, 2022, i was down with the dredded manflu.. so took the day off, spent it in bed and watched the TH-cam vid of the 86 masters.. from start to finish… truely amazing to watch! Bet it was great to watch live..
Nick needs to stop interrupting - this is about Jack..
That was GREAT!! Seriously, one of the better interviews I've EVER heard with Nicklaus! Great job Nick!!!
My two golfing heroes..why I started golf. Great podcast, brilliant 👏
I'm watching this in the bath... its going cold but I'm staying till the end. Pure gold by two greats of the game
Congratulations Nick. Please please please allow your guest to speak. It’s all about your guest.
That I noticed, too.
Yea agreed, he should let the guest finish his sentence.
Dick Cavett was bad about that too. Common mistake among mediocre interviewers who are on the narcissistic side.
Did you expect anything any different?
I love Rick but had to quit this interview. When interviewing you must be at least interested in the person you interview
Much love to you both! Jack is my favorite golfer of all time and Mr. Faldo is up there as well. The world could use more Jack’s and Nick’s
I would love to watch but Faldo can’t stop talking when Nicklaus is talking, can’t listen
Just started listening to this so surprised that sir nick is talking over jack Nicklaus if he continues I’ll switch off very disrespectful
Nick, PLEASE stop “chirping” through your guests answers!
It's not often that 2 people can change the game of golf as much as these 2 did. Pure gentleman who uphold the etiquette and the spirit of the game.
Nick. Great interview, but you need to listen a bit more and stop answering everything Mr Nicklaus says.
Go Bucs!
Got fed up with sir Nick interrupting constantly
When you've given to the game of golf as much as this man has, you have the right to speak whenever you want. I think it just shows his excitement to be chatting with the GOAT 😊 There is a mutual respect between these guys, and if that's what you took away from the video - maybe some time on course in the sun would do you some good 🌞🏌️
Thanks Nick. I think of Jack everyday. What a blessing! Golf MY WAY
Thank you so much!
Of all athletes, golf is where you find true role models and gentlemen. Absolute class.
would be better if Nick didn't interrupt all the time
Outstanding!! Well done Nick and Jack. Pure class . Informative and entertaining. Jack will always be the GOAT in my opinion.
Merci ! 👏👏👏😊👍🍷🇨🇦
Nick needs to learn to ask a question and then shut up. Let the guest talk.
Big Jack fan. His moral principles and integrity are needed in our next president.
When the PGA Tour broke off from PGA of America in the 60s that wasn’t for money?
The GOAT in so many ways. Seems like a family member growing up with him on the TV through the years when America was beautiful.
Sorry, Flado is horrible as a host, he always interjects before jack finishes his thoughts. I won't be watching his podcast.
Mr jack Nicklaus is a absolute legend and a brilliant ambassador for golf! ⛳️ I could listen 2 him speak all day!
That was great Nick. Jack Nicklaus a great man with a great family. That was fun to watch.
This is gold. Jack is just a regular guy, can remember his 112 YD PW into 17 at Augusta in 86, but still had to think and calculate his marriage years. Lol, so awesome
Wow. Lots of wonderful things happened in 1953. Thank you for all of this.
It's me against the course...
this made you friggin cry. what a whimp!
The best golfer we might ever see, Jack always the gentleman and my hero too in the golfing world.
I never watch videos this long but I loved every second of this. Great interview and Jack is such an amazing gentleman.
Gorgeous, gorgeous chat,....between two people so comfortable with themselves and each other. I love their reminiscence, their stories and their joy in recounting their sporting glory. Stories are so magical when told be the actors involved.
More please Sir Nick!!!

If only everyone spoke to each other with the same amount of respect . Its like music to the ears .
What a wonderful man, he will always be the GOAT in my opinion. He's my 1st memory of watching golf with my grandad in the mid 80's
A very bright and clear vision on the game. I loved to watch all of that generation, Jack, Arnold, Gary, Lee.... It is such a fine game, incomparable with any other sports.
You cannot start this video without watching the whole thing. Thank You Nick and Jack
Jack is the g.o.a.t.! Nick is also great. 2 legends here.
A true Legend. Been a honor watching him play all these years
@sirnickfaldo thank you and Jack for a wonderful interview.
The absolute greatest that ever played the game.... great interview
It is pretty good, despite the at least 8xs Jack was interrupted. What an incredible memory Jack has
You did great Nick! When you said “explain”. You made the interview. You listened! Which is more than most interviewers do. Good on you, as they say.
This is a fantastic discussion between two professionals with integrity. Win or lose, they carry themselves with honor. And Jack is the best golfer of all time until someone can eclipse his 18 majors. I think Tiger would also agree.
Two of my heroes….great to listening to stories from past eras of golf. Great interview. More please Sir Nick
