Now he's with Nick Faldo giving lessons etc...proving just how persistence and hard work are at the center of all our goals. Congratulations with all your success Eric. Obviously a big thanks to Sir Nick....probably one of my top favs of all time....and good luck to that young man, he's got a great swing.

I started playing golf again last January after a 33 year hiatus. Needless to say, TH-cam has been priceless to remind me of the basics, and beyond. I've watched hundreds of videos on here, but this is probably the best and most valuable lesson on the internet! Sir Nick, Seve, Greg Norman, Jack Nicholas and all of those '70s and '80s greats were what I grew up with, so it's great to see him still having a huge influence on the up and coming golfers of today. Great stuff! Thank you so much for making the video!

Faldo talks about just giving it another few seconds to hopefully pick the right club. If you watch him versus Norman on the 13th ‘ 96 Masters, final round, for me the most intense piece of golf tv you will see, you watch that advice in action. The crowd sighing because he went back to his bag to grab another club. They felt it also. The whole 18 holes was an epic watch.

Release Pattern is very important. The intention of which way you are releasing the club sets things up to move correctly for that shot. I see players all the time trying to hit draws with a fade release pattern, and visa versa, and they mess up their swings, trying all kinds of band aid fixes, but not change their release pattern.
This Release Pattern concept can also be done to produce a straight shot as well. as it will be in between the other two release patterns. That one you have to work a little harder to master, but it can be done. A lot more attention should be given by players and teachers to this aspect.

Sir Nick has been my golfing idol since the 90's, Eric C is a very well respected modern coach with such a clear and easy to follow teaching method, the young lad couldn't have been in better hands, he sucked in what Nick was teaching him and applied it to his swing within minutes, the 2 o'clock 10 o'clock thumb finish positions were/are absolute gold, especially combined with the distance control story from the 12th at Augusta.

interesting to see how new school and old school are at play here. Before tech it was all feel. Now with tech you can see what actually is working and then it shows how feel vs real isn't the same. Faldo was a master at his craft. However with tech some of his ideas are feel but not whats real. I think this is super cool to watch. It also shows you how you can get to technical and lose a lot of feel which would make you worst. Golf, got to love it right.
