I’ll be honest I teared up a little by the time it finished. Despite it being a short fan film, I enjoyed it quite a bit and felt like I was a kid again watching Star Wars for the first time. Splendid work in my opinion.
Probably one of the most beautiful comments this fan film got. I am so glad our short touched you heart and made you feel that. Thanks a lot and mtfbwy!
Me too. When the helmet dropped. Spectacular.
Bravo.
What a pleasure it was to play Jesper! (TK-438) Extremely proud to have participated in this project.
We were so lucky to find you! You were perfect for the role and you just nailed it!
Bit short for a Stormtrooper, aren't you?
@@InTheDarknessWhereIDwell Yes 😂
🤣🤣@@alexfalcon7723 🤣🤣
@@alexfalcon7723well done your amazing at it
I love the symbolism of him losing his padawan braid
Wonderful, truly a highlight!
That's the turning point of this story. Thanks for noticing and commenting! 😁
OMG! I was just checking to see if anyone commented about that! I noticed that too! I love that detail!
@@SWcollateralstoryCongratulations for this emotional and masterful work of Star Wars art!😀
For me, that was the best moment of this film.
Yeah, when he lost his padawan braid, I was impressed. Good writing.
Makes me feel proud, as a star wars fan, to see a passionate team making such a great quality production, and, of course, my friend Pablo Montenegro portraying a Jedi in the screen.
It is really special to see so much work and efforts in this short.
Congratulations to everyone, this is a dream ♥
Thank you for this comment, man! We are so glad to see that you liked it!
th-cam.com/video/vpm2yVyboy8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=47BzPTCeh0BlbjxZ
I absolutely loved this, the story about how the Jedi lost his Padawn Braid and how the Stormtrooper was trying his best to use the force was fantastic. 10/10
Thank you for your comment! So glad you appreciated the story!
11minutes to do what Disney couldnt. You are a credit to this fanbase
(resounding applause) That was great. And the bit with the bored stormtrooper trying to use the force was so real.
We all have tried to move a rock with our minds at some point in our life, this stormtrooper is no exception hahah
That was so funny
Whether or not it was intentional, the hole in the storm troopers helmet shows awesome symbolism of a shift from being a mindless, robotic stormtrooper for the empire to exposure of the face and therefore a heightened display of individualism and identity.
Awesome short film! Enjoyed it.
Thank you! That was exactly the point. I love how fan film use to explore this complex and human side of the so called bad guys
You mean like Finn with the bloody hand smear on his helmet?
Its amazing how much can be portrayed by good body language acting without even seeing a face - or full face. Great job Alex!
Yeah Alex did a great job! Even with the full armor on he managed to create a unique character! Thank you for your appreciation!
Really?! This was horrible and they didn’t portray anything with body language!
i love how excited the jedi was when his lightsaber was back in his hands and set himself free. Well done!
This is where the fun begins!
Astonishing how much better fan content is than 90% of what disney does with Star Wars.
Kk has got to go! Make starwars great again
Yeah, I’m really thankful for fan made content because at least it’s quality and actually FEELS like Star Wars (unlike anything Disney has put out).
Highly debatable. These fans films are great, but the acting is camper than Luke moaning about not being allowed to go to the academy. Surely it’s not very hard to find excellent out of work actors to play a Jedi who’s not surprised when he can use the force.
Poor Stormtrooper. All he wanted was to be a Jedi. 😢 At least this Jedi only knocked him out.
astonishing how I see a comment similar to this one on every vid..
WE GET IT lol
We don't get anywhere near enough content of Padawans so smoothly transitioning to Knight, most get too cocky and get themselves captured or killed especially in such a situation it makes for an especially interesting angle to work with :v
Edit: that being said rip rookie jedi knight, you tried your best and had a neat moment, here's to hoping TK-438 handles the main quest well!
I'm sure TK-438 will do with or without the force!
And yeah, it would so cool to have a series focused on the jedi training in the temple right before episode 1 for example! Different padawans, different journeys and supperation stories!
this was excellent! been really excited to see the finished product and what a worthy payoff that was! you guys continue to make top tier stuff.
Thank you! We are using what we learned with this one to improve the coming fan films!
Well done! Felt very much like star Wars and didn't need a ton of dialogue to make it so. Thanks again for bringing back the feeling of Star Wars again.
So glad it felt like that for you! This story is very simple, my love for Clone Wars 2003 is starting to show haha
Much better than anything since rogue 1!
This was wonderful! Everything from the story, down to the effects was amazing! Even if their wasn't that much dialogue the acting spoke louder than words ever could. Overall, this was a 10/10 film.
Thank you for your appreciation! We definitively tried to keep only the essential dialogue and let the images speak by themselves.
@SWcollateralstory Can't wait for more projects! Quick question: Would you ever release another stop motion film, or is that phase behind you now.
@@kickboxproductionsfilms9523 Good question. It is hard to say. I feel like stop motion was a way for me to approach this universe but now that I have tried live action I would only make a stop motion if the technique had something special to offer for a particular project. We will see....
@SWcollateralstory Alright, thanks again!
That 3 minute opening was just *chef’s kiss*
Glad you liked it! Thank you!
So incredibly well done. It has fantastic special effects, a solid storyline and heart. Three things currently missing from so called modern Star Wars. I sincerely hope to see more from this talented team.
Thank you so much for this beautiful comment! I am glad you liked our fan film! We are indeed preparing and shooting more! 😁 The star wars spirit has a place to thrive on fan filmmakers free from corporate conditioning and audience expectations. May the force be with you!
I have seen a lot of Star Wars short films, and this is right up among the best I have seen. This is incredible work, and this scene could easily have been pulled straight from Episode IV. It is that good!
Thanks a lot for your words! Episode IV is exactly the type of feel we were after. Easy, pure, newborn Star Wars.
@@SWcollateralstory You achieved it, and then some.
Outstanding!! great story, acting,, and effects. Well Done!! And let's not forget the fantastic musical score!!
Thank you so much! Yes, the score by Jake Cadmus is amazing!
I only focus on star wars that's not controlled by disney. This is next level greetings from the netherlands👋🇳🇱
Thanks a lot! Yeah I am sure we the fans might not have huge budgets but do enjoy a lot of creative freedom!
The application of morality in a warzone has been applied here.
It surely was. Thank you applying your comment
man dude your movie was AWESOME!!!!!!
Thank you! 😁
How does this only have 125k views??? Very well done! BETTER than most Disney garbage! We need to spread this out there guys!
haha thanks you for your energy! We are happy with the views that we have but yeah, why not try to get to all the star wars fandom!
Great fan film. Love that fan,s keep Star wars Alive with great films! Great story😎
Merry Christmas🇩🇰🌲
Thank you! That is our goal! Happy holidays!
Fabulous rendention! I really felt those blaster hits the jedi took as well! 10/10 🫶🏾
There is no way of escaping order 66.... haha thank you for your comment! Glad you liked the film!
Awesome. Happy new year.
Thank you! Happy 2024!
This is a great fan film that captures the atmosphere and tone of the franchise’s best. I’ve been disenchanted with Star Wars and most of the new Disney stuff since Episode 9, but this is the first time I’ve remembered what it’s like to love this franchise. Awesome job to all who made this👌
What a beautiful comment! One of our goals with this fan film was getting back to the first, original feel of Star Wars that we all had in our early years. The thrill, the adventure, the light hearted characters, the hopeful ending, the sense of wonder... I want to belive we got close to that!
Have seen many fan films over the years and this is a true gem.Well done film makers and actors and of course the positive comments from fellow Star Wars fans.
Yes we have received lots of love and appreciation from the fan community in this comment section. Thanks for your kind words as well! I am glad you liked it that much!
This is really good. Major props to Pablo Montenegro. He conveyed so much emotion with almost no dialog. That is hard to do.
Yeah he nailed it!
Really impressed by the quality!! Great job on storyline, effects, and the way it was shot!!
Thank you!
That was great, hope you keep making these.
Glad you liked it! We are in fact making more :D
This was genuinely the best or close second to imps being my favorite fan films
Thank you! We are glad you liked it that much! :D
This is one of the best Star Wars fans films I’ve ever seen! Great Job!
Wow thank you! 😁
Very well done. Retained that gritty feeling of the original films!
Glad that you noticed! :D Thank you!
This was a beautiful video its content like this that makes me love Star Wars its not just the big production movies but stories like this that keeps the magic alive and makes me proud to be a fan
Thank you for your comment! Yeah, there are true gems out there. Lots of different visions for star wars portrayed through fan films. Yes I do believe we are keeping it alive!
The stormtroopers are dangerous
Yes they can be 💀
Beautiful to see a fans perspective on how a Padanwan completed his trial losing his Palawan braod symbolized his turn to knighthood beautifully done
When there is no jedi order left to teach you, only the battle can turn you into a knight. Thank you for your appreciation!
Impressive... Most impressive! It had the look, feel, and sound of a Star Wars story.
So glad you liked it! Thank you for your comment!
That was awesome. More feelings than anything Disney has put out, with the possible exception of Rogue One. Outstanding.
Rogue One and Solo were amazing in my opinion! I wish they made more films like these. Small stories of the galaxy not so focused on the force and the Skywalkers. Thank you for your comment!
Ok seeing the cracked open one can we just agree that storm trooper masks are ridiculously imopractical.
Nothing like the old good phase II clone trooper helmets.... Those were built to last....
It has been one month since the release of Last Trial, one of our first fan films, and we just wanted to say thank you for the 82k views, likes and love you sent us in the comments during these weeks! Let's keep making Star Wars!
Yet another well done fan film by people who respect the material that just proves that Hollywood is spending hundreds of millions of dollars turning out inferior garbage.
Thank you! I wish I could understand their plan and way of doing things
TH-cam has recommended a couple of Star Wars fan films recently. One other got more views and all kinds of accolades in the comments, but honestly it was trash. Bad acting, bad directing, the principal character was a teenager but written with the personality and character of a 5 year old.
This one? This one is great. This one is wonderful. This made me **FEEL** things. No unnecessary dialogue, no evil monologues, no dumb macguffins. Just believable, meaningful characters.
I felt your Padawan's slow realization of confidence after losing his braid. I felt his triumph as he recovered his data disk. I felt his sorrow at getting shot because he celebrated too soon.
Good job. Please do more.
Thanks a lot for your comment! I am so happy to know that you felt the story as it developed! That was our goal :D and indeed we are making more fan films!
This was really well done! Awesome job guys!
Thanks a lot for your comment!
Wow. Never seen any your films before. This was great.
I hope you enjoy them! We have more fan film being made right now!
@@SWcollateralstory Thanks.
Stormtroopers in fan films make better characters than Disney protagonists. Your work it another testament to that. Action, emotional scenes, character development: All is in here and I loved it!
Thank you for your appreciation! These type of comments are fuel for us and keep us going!
Great Photography and professional film .
Thank you!
Excellent job. Great storyline

I really really enjoyed thi.s. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Another fan film with more heart, soul and passion than anything Disney has put out. Well done!

You can love something and not focus on Disney
@@thegamingkitchen8429 lol no you can't. You are not a true star wars fan if you think that. Probably a 18 yr old kid who never grew up when star wars was not with Disney. Now Disney Star wars is just woke garbage, This fan made film DOES NOT focus on woke politics but a GOOD STORY. Your opinion honestly means nothing
@@mattkeeler7385 "you are not a true fan if you think that"...
A true fan wouldn't gatekeep so I suppose you still have some maturing to go through
Obviously, Disney can NEVER compare to awesome storytelling of this
I must say that making a small passion project with 100% creative control is easier than making an official trilogy that has to have economic benefits and please a huge audience but thank you for what you say! So glad you liked it!
@@marinodares404 Yep
😀What a fantastic and heart-wrenching story. The cinematography and camera work are on point, and AMAZING COSTUMES, FR!! Seeing personal stories of the beings in Star Wars, and the collateral damage of the empire is powerful. Andor is a great example of this, as is your shirt film. Thank you for sharing this with all of us! Hope to see more of these! 🙂👍
Thank you for putting us next to Andor! We do believe deep, meaningful and fun stories can be told inside this universe. We are making the sequel to this fan film and Andor and Rogue One are two of our main references. Glad you liked it and thank you so much for your comment!

Really amazing production and wonderful music by Jake
Thank you! Jake absolutely nailed it!
Amazing production value !
Very clever and well done visual effects 🔥
The Canary islands set brings an incredible visual render too ! (Canary islands are definitly part of the SW sets catalog!)
The acting was so cool as well as the framing. This short film is what the fans need.
In one word : brilliant ✨
Thank you for this comment! I want to belive we who are making fan films are keeping some kind of star wars spirit alive. Congatulations on your film and its impressive lift off in TH-cam! Let's keep telling stories!
Loved this. I saw A New Hope on opening day in 1977. I was 23 & there had never been anything like .
It was something to behold. First of its kind.
This movie, tho short, had me cheering the kid who has been taken by the bad guys, but is still a good guy at heart.
This has the core value of SW, that anyone can be a hero if you just do the right thing.
Thank you for your comment! I am glad this short film made you connect with the feel of the original Star Wars movies!
The fact that the stormtrooper was able to shoot and hit the droid, makes this completely unbelievable. All joking aside, great job this was a fun watch.
Yes, it was a risky move by our part hahah. Thank you!
That is awesome! Well done!

Thank you! We are just doing what we can on a small budget
That was so cool!

Fantastic! Nice twist too and even in the end, not really sure what the storm trooper will decide. This is really powerful, well done.
Thank you! Yeah, a million stories could happen with that guy when the credits roll. I guess we will have to wait for the continuation! 😏
Excellent! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
Everything about this was awesome! Too bad Finn’s character couldn’t be written better like this Trooper was.
Yeah man! Finn was full of interesting possibilities!
AND FINALLY the stormtroopers dont look stupid. They actually did their job.... they dont shoot air or run into walls... they killed their target
Thank you! There are lots of missed blaster bolts in this fan film but yeah, they end up finishing the work.
While you can def tell it's a fan film, this is incredible! I loved seein the different types of stormtroopers and blasters being used! Props to all those involved! This is really really well made!

Wow! This was great! Thank you so much for the great Star Wars content!
Glad you liked it! Thank you!
Awesome, dude! This didn't dissapoint.
Now THIS, is Star Wars. Bravo!
Absolutely great. I can't believe what fan studios can produce these days. A compelling short film, some nice acting, perfect costuming, great effects. It was so spot on to the main films that it duplicated the Stormtrooper aim problem - the Padawan is literally surrounded at close range and being missed. It was classic. Pablo as a Jedi was easily as good a fit in the role as many from the big screen. Imagine a SW film about a disgraced stormtrooper trying to escape the empire with the last words of a dying Jedi, only to find himself completely disbelieved by the rebels so carrying on the mission he was given.
Thank you! Small filmmakers like us don't have big budgets but we do have time, love and creative freedom. Those are super powerful tools. And what you said about the stormtrooper is actually a really nice idea for the continuation of this fan film. Only TK-438 knows what he had to face to complete this mission....
The problem wasn't that he was surrounded and they couldn't hit him; it was that their 'solution' to fighting the guy with a laser-sword was to get closer, and they only tried to surround him after the Jedi went behind a rock.
Note that this is pretty sad even for the kind of armed thugs who need to 'blood' recruits like they attempted with TK-438.
So much better than everything Kathleen Kennedy ever came up with. Thank you for keeping the real Star Wars alive.
We are just simple filmmakers trying to make our way in the universe
*The graphics are first rate top match! Everything about this is great, but those are Hollywood quality impressive*
Thank you! Lots of love were put into making these VFX 😁
