I played this several times until it "clicked". I first thought it should have more cards. But after many plays I now think more would have been too random without more deck building/culling ability. As it is counting cards is an essential strategy. And yes the 3D works great.

100% agree with you, Zee! It's a really cool game, but really would love to see more cards... and the aesthetic, just wow :)

Dead on with the rulebook. I had no idea what the Strength and Hope cards were ultimately FOR until you pointed out that the discard pile is actually the deck that you're building. Great review and great tutorial.

I've encountered that deck aspect in some other games, and they are very confusing at first. Even though I'm now familiar, it still feels wrong to treat the discard as the recycled new deck.

    Spot on review.
I used to play with making 3d photos in photoshop so seeing this was a must have and... I'm amazed, the graphic designer really knows his stuff in regards of layout and depth of field so it's not a gimmick, it really kicks!
I also played the first few games with out it while learning and soon got used to the cards as they are.
The style of this game, the theme, the art, its all... Just spot on on, I love the wording for routes, shortcuts, parts etc. Awesome.
As Zeee says, the rule book just needs a little oomphh, maybe just a few pages explaining every card rather than deciphering icons etc.
Small foot print on the table. Compact box. Great player aid. Smart graphics. Awesome theme.
    Yeah man.
    Happy purchase.

Great review, spot on. I also struggled with when I was allowed to use the tools. Great game though. 8/10 for sure.

Extra encounter/event decks that are different "biomes" on the planet would be a great way to up the replayability and possibly make the mini-campaign element work too; subsequent biomes could get more challenging etc.

This is a great game. I just love it. Also, I have learned that when Zee praises a solo game, I might as well just buy it without further thought.

Love the game too for all the same reasons. I also appreciate the save game style method.

Nice review Zee I've played it a few times now but have gotten it back to the table recently. I find the luck factor a bit punishing if I don't constantly remember how many of what type of card I have left in the deck.

also i agree with you i hate a solo game that just see the score, win or lose that's the thing!

This game looks like it plays itself.

They add a cool effect, it’s an experience enhancer more than anything.
