Thank you!!! I’ve been staring at my kit and the bags of bolts wondering how it all went together, wasting time searching the inner webs for actual instructions. This is exactly what I needed!

Took a mild run off-road on mine and I felt more stable than I do on my Husky 701. You will be blown away off-road, it definitely feels like a 200lb bike off road. I had an 1190, 1290, currently have a GS, 701, Beta 390 and I can honesty say that I can get rid of several bikes because this one does everything so well.

I believe the soft bag is called the Nelson-Rigg Trails End Lite.

Don’t think it’s a tool roll in the handlebar bag.
It’s a small waterproof roll top bag, for the contents in the handlebar bag.
We have the exact same bag for multistrada v4’s but with the multistrada name of course.

im also coming off a 1190R & 1090R, GLAD to hear you say it FEELS 200lbs lights, that and the thickness between knees is on the ktm is really wide. feels like your on a 4cyl sport bike its so wide.

Lucky man! I can't find anything available in the US for kits for the Desert X. I decided to order the top case kit from a website overseas and they sent me everything except the top case frame. But, the video was very helpful. I'm also waiting for the off-road kit that I ordered back in April and still haven't received it. It's pretty frustrating dealing with accessories for this bike right now because nothing is in stock and I waited almost a year to receive it.

    Very nice video mate:)
Came here to see how the top case looks like, and I'm gonna order the Rigg Gear tail bag for sure!
Do you know what size it is? There are 3 in the website, 1050, 1050 L and 1055. It looks like the 1050 but I am not sure.

Nice. Wonder how you think it compares to your KTM. But your right...lightness is important if your offroad.

I’m excited to find out. It’s much better on the road than the KTM. I need to get some 50/50 tires on the Ducati to make a better comparison off-road, the stock Pirellis are great on the street, but of the little off-roaring I’ve done with them, I can tell they will struggle if it’s anything much more than gravel roads.

@@ryansandefer6887 It is waaay better than the 1190 or 1290 off road!

@@chrisvantassel8867 I agree completely. Now that I’ve been able to put some miles done on it, the bike has performed very well off-road. It’s certainly not a duel sport or anything haha, but as far as a mid/full size adventure bike, it is extremely capable. I’m excited to some videos of people really thrashing them off-road. Mine’s to pretty to destroy haha

@@ryansandefer6887 Ya, I am waiting on crash bars etc. so I don't want to thrash it yet but what I did notice is the harder you push it the better it does off road. Still learning the tech etc. but so far I dig it! I loved my KTM's as well but I don't think that the 890R would have been on par with the DX on road, probably as good or better off-road but I would never ride it like I see in the hard enduro vids, then again, maybe one of these crazy riders will prove that the DX is just as good off-road.

Only four screws into the plastic baseplate to hold the case and contents to the rack?
