The carbon monoxide alarm needs to be on floor level! Carbon monoxide is a heavy gas and by the time your alarm goes off, the entire room will be filled with it. You'd be dead...

David Clark Well I don't know how many of these that are out there to "buy" anyway, but this one is built on an 18 year old truck worth about $15k and it certainly wouldn't cost me another $45k to build that homemade camper unit on the back of this thing.

Enjoyed the tour. Nice rig. I suggest you change out the lighting you don’t like to use with bulbs that are 2700 Kelvins. This is the specific color of illumination most similar to the old incandescent we grew up with. You will love it.

Very cool Overlanding truck there Basil. The best item in your truck (imo) is the Zojirushi rice cooker at 7:00 mark. I go off road camping with my rice cooker also, and my buddies think I'm nuts. What's wrong with having fresh cooked rice for a meal out in the wilderness? I know I love it.

Awesome setup man! My gf and I just got a f350 6.7.... looking at getting a northern lite camper and outfitting it out to do some remote camping and living out of it for a few years.
I've been following Basil on insta for awhile and was wondering if we would ever see a video walkthrough of his rig. So sick! I went the van route, but a truck and camper like this has me thinking about my next rig.
The 7.3 will be awesome for reliability. It's worth losing a few mpg for an engine that can haul the weight without asking for anything more than typical maintenance. Good choice
