10mpg is pretty good for a F550 with that huge camper and those tires. I have rented 2020 F550 crew-cab 4x4 stakebed trucks from Enterprise a few times, to move machine tools, and best I got was 12 mpg. MPG didn't change much loaded or unloaded. The equipment I hauled was a 4000 lb lathe, 4500lb mill and 5000lb boring machine. Only hauled one machine at a time. Your camper weighs around 4000 lbs ? More than the weight the wind resistance and those tires will hurt your MPG.

I love seeing this kind of lifestyle. I couldn't do it but I do love traveling and RVing on occasion. I even have my office space and desk in my garage where I can keep the door open and windows open and enjoy the outdoors (I work from home mostly and live in the woods with access to an amazing lake). I just cant fully commit to the small space of an RV but I find that having a designated home, an RV, and a decent family boat is the best combination for me.
This is a really nice build. This is the only tiny home on wheels that I could see myself living in. You have all the amenities of a traditional home without the super cramped space.
Beautiful build! It is nice to see someone DIY their own ER, and do a quality job.
Hello Kris
Many of the products used in the building of your camper are very interesting. It would have been nice to include links to these products. I had to rewind the video several times on different occasions to get the name of a product then I had to search for it by name, not always finding what I was looking for.... just an FYI.
Great video!
I'm way into RV's and van life, but have to wonder where all these seemingly unemployed 20 and 30-somethings get the money to make such elaborate vehicles.
$1000+ monthly payments
Anybody who has almost a million subscribers should be a millionaire if they aren’t a total idiot
Easy, borrow from mom and dad. Can’t wait till their 40 and realize they are financially f#ck@d
My guess is its this instead of a house right??
We live in a country of 360,000,000. There really aren’t that many young people with such expensive builds.
They are living life...not just surviving, but prepared if it comes down to survival. I love it!
Those windows are awesome. Pulling a screen down and the blind up, that's some next level stuff right there👍
Those windows are already in like every RV in Europe from about the year 1995.
I’m curious with how tall this is, wouldn’t it be kind of sketchy taking it off road? It’s probably so top heavy
@@giantkylec What a great answer to Tyler's original question you've provided, what a piece of work you are.
Not sure Tyler I think it depends on the center of gravity and exactly how much excessive weight there is above that, but I have to agree it's not something I would want to put to much lateral motion or side incline to find out...
Most all the earth roamer type trucks look top-heavy but they are driven all over the world on dirt, sand, and gravel roads, but as Kyle succinctly put it, not necessarily off-road. They have large, low-slung fuel and water tanks which helps.
@@RustyCas999 ah so I guess it would be mostly a tactful way of driving. So still going off paved roads but not getting in extremely rugged terrains. That makes sense.
Yeah this is definitely a very cool build! I wasn’t trying to dog on it. Mostly just curious. I personally think I’d prefer a lower center of gravity but I understand now how to be conscious of what your setup is and how to travel.
Awesome build!! Congrats you guys

Great work! B ut I had to laugh when you said you have some window coverings for when you want to be "discreet". With the tall & large truck footprint and decked-out graphics, the Muse Roamer is anything but discreet 😉
I thought the exact same thing😂 Awesome build. Enjoy your adventures!
They’re trying not to say she’s a screamer? 🤷♂️😆
She was saying discreet like needing to change or something
I think he meant when they bang
@@JohnnyTran-qh3ot I think they meant quieter when parked
Only 4 minutes in and I have to say this is the best built I've seen ...I'm getting into van life due to financial issues and yea I'm definitely doing something similar but 2 storey I think I can make it work with all cooking and shower on the out side ....I'm actually excited now and have a great idea on what to do and before this video I was lost I won't lie...I wasn't sure if I wanted a cube van or van or truck or motor home ...but this I can also add my atv rack on the back
This woman said things that I wanted to hear. Thank you woman.
What a great build ! ! So worth it for your lifestyle, compared to the huge investment and drawbacks of a static home. Happy trails ! 🌲
Cool to see you filmed this all in my home town of Ocean Beach!
I’m curious….If you could do a similar but all-electric (no propane, etc., unless you think it would still be required) setup using Ford’s latest F-150 hybrid with Pro Power or new Lightning with Pro Power, which would you choose? Your build is my ideal and has the same requirement of needing to be winter ski season friendly. Thx!
I like the “little squiggly” under the mattress.
Lol the squiggly does things and stuff to make it cool
Any rv company needs to hire this girl I have never seen any one explaining in details an rv Girl you are so good at what you are doing look out Andrew steel rving. This lady is really good at this plus she is absolutely gorgeous. Good job on custom rv
Complimenti, avete costruito un bellissimo camper, ben arredato e funzionale.
Un saluto da Firenze, divertitevi!
You’re my hero man! Thanks for the inspiration. Best of luck to you!
Love the outlook and how amazing this turned out. It’s beautiful!
La transformación es increíble y sus creadores son unos verdaderos genios, creativos y pacientes, muchas felicidades.
Great build!! One thing for later: Next time you replace your batteries, use Battle Born batteries. They are the very best. You will see a huge performance difference.
Really great design, and I like that you use a shorter cab for a two person rig - better off road capability in a shorter wheelbase. Everything about the design is well laid out and you seem to have the right balance of storage and open space.
Easily the best build that I’ve seen! Love it. This has exact everything I want!
🇮🇶😘🙋🙋
What is that beautiful 'editing chair'? It's gorgeous!
I have a question. Since it’s technically advertising you business, do you need to put commercial plates on it?
People should , but rarely due. They will did out at claim time.
Oh Wow! Great video and great idea. TAKE MY MONEY! I was looking at the Earth Roamer. Anyone out there doing this in the eastern Southern States, You possibly might have a customer.
Fair play and well done. Enjoy your adventures and best wishes from Ireland.
Well played when the box almost fell out the cupboard
Haha I thought the same thing!
Next step go beyond piling things in cabinets
Damn those wooden ceilings that you did really look great!!
what was the final cost? i think i missed it?
without company support around 220- 250k
$65k out of pocket. About another $60k in equipment. Could have done it for let’s but went for the higher end components with the brands we collaborated with.
@@AndrewMuse You could have converted a 4x4 ambulance for a quarter of that
@pitote cochinote Not nearly as off-road capable.
@@noahmcdaniel4920 Not nearly the same living space and storage. You're right, I could have done it 100 different ways but this was my dream vehicle so I tried to bring it to life.
Great video and rig. Whats the total weight of this built?
THE MUSEROAMER!! Love Andrew and ALL his adventures!!!
I often wonder where people in their early 20’s get $60k and so much free time to throw into something like this, and then have the capital to continue living that lifestyle.
His parents pay for it
youtube? no rent? no other responsibilities? also he could have side gigs that can be completed remotely.
DINK - Dual Income No Kids. it's not hard to find a 40-50k job each. they both seem intelligent enough to have decent paying jobs. but the biggest thing is no kids. kids are money vampires.
@@leemp337 My buddy makes 80k a year and has no kids and would be hard pressed to come up with 5k for something non essential without dipping into his retirement.
@@soundsofnature7015 he need a gf to add to the income..."dual income" is the key to cuts expenses in half. And 80k and cant come up with 5k...sounds like he is bad with money management or priorities are off or is just focused on pumping his retirement account and not worried about non essentials right now. Nicely done!
Especially saving about a 1/2 million dollars.
Beautiful build! Great job, and the cost it was done for is very respectable.
20year old used earthroamers found for sale are still 250k or more, crazy.
Totally can relate to the "climb a mountain analogy"! Everytime I'd go on a multi day backpacking trip, I'd always be b***ching about it and ask myself why I'm always doing this while being miserable and then as soon as my buddies and I make it back to the trailhead I'm always like "Where we going next week?". lol

But in this earthroamer literally everything is flawless and just like what I imagined in my mind. I hope one day I have my own earthroamer or motocaravan. :)) and so you do:)

So this is 2 years later I'm seeing this. How has your build held up? Issues? How did you convert draw to srw?
“For when we’re trying to be discrete” 💀
“Fraction of the cost” is maybe pushing it this rig easily cost over $100,000! Definitely not something you can just “push yourself to do” lol
Buying it from a company will cost you 500,000$,Thats a fraction
1/5th to be precise.
2 hard working people without many expenses or debt, smart with their money, saving $100k cash is not that difficult to do. Most people spend the money they make on things they don’t really need, or they don’t invest it.
@@Sonnyjune69 ok so you go do it? But the fact is that a vast majority of people aren’t going to be able have the up front cash for a project like this. And few banks are going offer 100k+ loans for vehicle builds. All I was I getting at was that this isn’t an undertaking that is easily done (hence the quote in my last sentence).
@@jakenelton1322 Sure, maybe not easily done, but not extremely difficult either, especially for 2 working people together. Maybe can't immediately do this, but with some planning, "pushing yourself" to do this is reasonably attainable. Not if you have credit card debt coming out of your ears and eating at restaurants every day and paying for 15 monthly subscriptions... For couples that are wise with aggressively paying off any debt they have and saving the majority of their expendable cash, this project is more attainable than people assume it to be.
