@@amazoidal that "1954 engine" isnt going anywhere anytime soon, and the small block chevy will outlast just about every other gasoline engine in production today.
In the new Car and Driver, the Camaro Zl1-1LE was raced against the GT500. Both blown. The Shelby did 0-60 in 3.6 and the quarter in 11.4. 0-100 in 7.1. The Camaro did 0-60 in 3.4, the quarter in 11.5 and 0-100 in 7.4. The Camaro has better traction because of it's superior electronic LSD and weighs 200lbs less. But the two-valve, non-crossflow pushrod design took it's toll in the breathing dept, even with the blower. CD: " By 100mph, the Ford is quicker than the Chevy by .03 second, and by 160 mph, the Ford is more than 5 seconds quicker. It's 132 mph trap speed in the quarter is ample proof of the Mustang's power". The Chevy's trap speed was 124 mph. That's why the NA C8 will be slow compared to the Mustag in the quarter despite having a 1 liter larger engine. Yes, there is a substitute for displacement. It's called breathing. I wouldn't pay 73k for a C8 unless it had the new engine GM has made for the C8 and C8R. It will have 32 valves and 4 cams. GM will slowly discontinue the "small-block". First cars, then trucks. It's way overdue.
Once this gets a true manual, it will truly be EPIC!! Until then it is merely ok. Hopefully they will ditch the cheap honda/acura push button shift buttons for a proper more expensive and durable gear shift lever of metal and leather.
Nope One TH-cam had a Chevy engineer saying it was 2000 miles. But that factory car has been around for at least a month and no doubt already has that mileage on it

The colour matched side vents are a must - looks so much better!
That interior is sweet! Cant wait to see the z06 exterior changes
Me too. I have an '18 Z06/Z07 with a manual 7-spd that only has 5,223 miles on it now. I was thinking of keeping it since front engine/manual Vettes are history & then I'd buy a C8 Z to park next to it. But I might just sell the C7 Z if the C8 Z turns out great. I don't really need two of them. Lol
love the end, faster than a 2wd Tacoma hahah, O and love the new C8 also!
That's a nice spec, all the ones I have seen in person have the black side pieces and the wing, really like it without either of those.
That was a hilarious ending haha! Dude almost lost his tires trying to keep up ☠️
Love it! All American tour de force. Even at $75k this is a raging bargain & sports car icon.
I’m a Ford guy, but damn that thing sounds amazing. Chevy knocked it out of the park with the new Corvette.
I can only imagine how many parts you will have to take off, to mod this car..
That can't be a corvette it actually has a fully functional cupholder!
Jesus Tommy settle down 😂😂
Dude's way too excited! He was all out of breath like half way through the video. Then when he's watching the car make a U turn 😅
This must be one of the best looking interior ever
The father-son dynamic is priceless. 😂 Keep it up fellas, can't wait to see more of this thing.
Man this made me feel uncomfortable, Tommy...
This is filmed in such a way that i get the impression you guys have just stolen this vehicle. Can't say that i blame you. I was thinking about doing the same.
Doesn’t seem to be much room inside for someone who is 6’2”.
Joseph Whiskey Beale It’s a sports car, what do you expect
Looks cramped as hell.
I bet there are some shriners dreaming about this car right now.
He has his seat forward.
ZMC says the 5’4 guy 😟
Just saw one the other day at the daytona 500. It truly is a beautiful car.
I've sat in this car, and it ROCKS.
Well, the first thing I'd want to do is find out how to stop the cylinder deactivation, as that really screws up reliability of the engine. Maybe there's a way to turn it off with the onboard computer or someone will invent a hack. Other than that, this thing is stunning. Can't wait to try one!
I would love to see Roman trying to drive with his hands at 9 and 11.
I know it’s all subjective but I think the solid color side vent and silver paint wheels look great. I am so sick of black wheels.
I love my 2020 Corvette stingray spider with 3LT Z-51 package🔥 content coming with the body kit build
I love how corrects his dad 😂
“I’m in Track mode.”
“Nope, sport”
0:38 I still can’t wrap my head around that view lol
Awesome video guys, great job 👍🔥👌
“ I like holding at 9 and 11. 😂😂. Stick to trucks guys. 😉
Glideslopes I enjoyed that but I just picture Boomer holding the wheel at nine and 11 always ready to turn left
Jesus I'm actually thinking about raiding the retirement savings for this beast!
Wait until the new engine comes out. The 1954 design is quite dated.
97336cf small block Chevy. 100,000 miles + gonna need- timing chain valve job water pump starter motor and you’re good for another 100,000 or so
3.3 seconds with 2 people in the car, that's pretty impressive.. can't wait to see them on the road
I never ever ever really cared much for Corvettes but this thing is pretty exciting!
Once this gets a true manual, it will truly be EPIC!!
Until then it is merely ok.
Hopefully they will ditch the cheap honda/acura push button shift buttons for a proper more expensive and durable gear shift lever of metal and leather.
Sound the alarm! We got a purist in here!
Your power is being limited until the odometer reaches something like 3000 miles.
Nope
One TH-cam had a Chevy engineer saying it was 2000 miles. But that factory car has been around for at least a month and no doubt already has that mileage on it
That Tacoma was closing on it!...for a lot less than $75k too, I'm assuming. lol
Only because Roman can't street race a car he doesn't own, and can't speed. The c8 would wreck even highly modified trucks, let alone a 20 year old Tacoma lol.
@Josh Rice Yeah, that c8 would destroy it so hard.
Wow! I saw a bunch of Corvette C8 on my way back from Dumont California. In Tecopa! Would of never thought it was you guys.
absolutely love the paint matched vs the black accents
