Lennon was important for music, peace and politics, suing the government for trying to kick him out of NYC for encouraging peace, and WON. Lennon's songs were sung by millions of protesters, and suceeded in ending the Vietnam War. Lennon was an amazing soul. He is survived by his first wife Cynthia and their son Julian Lennon, second wife Yoko and their song Sean Ono Lennon

37 Years Ago today, was one of the worst and most painful days of my life. I have been a Beatles fan since May 63 and losing John was like losing a family member.. A bright light had been removed. However his music and message will last Forever. His death got me out of my sick apathetic state and i became an activists and still am. One of the campaigns is against the National Rambo Assholes. Love you John

when he said the greatest Rock star next to Freddie I immediately started sobbing. I couldn't control myself. I'm a young girl and I wasn't Alive in the 90s but I just love Freddie so much. (yes,I know he died in 1991) I literally know everything about them. I'm still crying the way he sung this just overwhelmed me.

Jesus the members of queen have multiple talents... all of them can sing
Queen was a supergroup. Every member can play many instruments (even Freddie). Roger has couple of albums playing and singing everything. Brian and John even produced their guitars and amplifiers (named after them). Also their vocal harmony is far beyond compare. I am amazed how well Brian is singing Imagine. This type of songs pass exactly for his voice.
It warms my heart to hear all of these people singing together. Faith in humanity restored. And RIP John.

John was my favorite musician. Next was Freddie. I think Freddie was great but John was the greatest.
Got to say Paul Rodgers is a great singer,love some of his stuff with Free,I know he's no Freddie but he still has a quality voice.
This concert was in July 05. It was due to be held the weekend when the 7/7 terrorist attack happened in London. They postponed the gig to a week later and covered Imagine because of 7/7. It was a wonderfully poignant song in the context of London pulling together with a never say die spirit after an awful event that killed over 50 people. They also got police/fire and ambulance crews on stage who had been the first responders when the bombs went off. Amazing night still gives me goose bumps. And check out the sunset :-)

Whats impressive about queen is or was the versatility of each member. All of them are great singers, roger taylor has a great husky voice, brian may can play a range of different instruments and is arguably 1 of the most uniquely talented musicians ever. And of course you had freddie who could do everything. True artists.

The pianist is adding that one note in the refrain that Lennon deliberately omitted that made your ear hang on, and to and beg for it. This is Queen. They should have got that. Freddie would have. Elton John would have 'seen' this. But what do I know?
