Sooooooo the back up drummer is Phil Collins, the back up guitarist is Clapton, and the backing keyboards is Elton John. Yep.
In a parallel universe
Clapton isn’t technically back up guitarist because he plays the solos. He’s co-lead guitarist
With Jeff Lynne playing backup and Ray Cooper with the tambourine.
Don’t forget Jeff Lynne
Who wrote it? You? Many compliments
Hey all, is anyone here in 2024?🔥
I'd like to have this song played at my funeral one of the greatest of all time
Silly question! 2 of my all time favorites, George & Eric, so I've watched this lots!
Да!❤❤❤😊
Ringo Clapton Lynn Elton and a few other are still here thank goodness. Greatest song ever written by a Beatle
Я слушаю в 2024., РОССИЯ 🎉
I’m surprised the stage didn’t spontaneously burst into flames with the greatness on that stage on that day
indeed; extra fire extinguishers were on hand is my guess
I saw George Harrison in concert in Toronto in 1974. Absolutely amazing. Rode the subway home in a daze.

Toronto must have been fun in '74. I don't even like going there anymore.

George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Phil Collins, Elton John, Mark King oh my!
Where is David Gilmour, pls? 😊
@@janavrbova8622 That's just his doppleganger, Mark King from Level 42 on bass.🙂
That looks like Gilmour but it's his look-a-like, Mark King, from Level 42 🙃
David Gilmour? Where? I don't think he was present at that show... He was too busy trying to find a way to crunch Roger Waters' face back 87.
The bass guy that looks like He-man is not Guilmor
George Harrison was an amazing songwriter. This is one of my favorite Beatles songs. It just never gets old
A composer of great quality, although misunderstood by his band mates. This song, by the way, required Clapton for the rest of The Beatles to feel some "enthusiasm" to record it.
There was, by the way, a great friendship between Harrison and Clapton.

George didn't write as many smash hits as Mccartney or Lennon, but the ones he did write were epic.
He wrote so many great songs for other people also, like badge for cream, sour milk sea for Jackie Lomax and of course it don’t come easy for Ringo.
Trueeeee
La buena musica siempre perdurara
@gregory young A late bloomer .. exactly .. but what a bloom !
His solo work was actually more successful than John's, Paul had more top ten hits which much of it i liked, but some I didn't.
George is one of the most underrated musicians in history. He was brilliant!
That He Was.

underrated? buddy he was in THE BEATLES
Flaming oath!
@@florenzini7212 u dont know what underrated means
One of the top 10 rock songs of all time! George did a great and selfless thing when he invited Clapton to play the lead. For George it was never about ego. It was always and only about the music.
Yes, It was. NO McCarntney-ism Ego.
I look at the mic and notice it's turning
Shoulda made sure it was secure
LOL underrated comment

Thanks for the laugh. I busted out laughing in a quiet room of people. Truly funny
It's all the vibrations happening there.....
So much talent on one stage. George Harrison, Ringo, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Phil Collins, Ray Cooper, Jeff Lynne.
hello shelley, how are you doing?
Yes! Great band. And I think this sounded much better than the White Album version.
Одним словом Элита , достояние планеты Земля.

...and perhaps the most talented of them all, bassist Mark King.
Man, I am so grateful that this was recorded. What an awesome rendition of this song. We miss you, George!
There are a heck of a lot of viewers here say "ditto" "ditto" ditto"! I love George and play his music on regular basis starting from 60s through 2023!

The interaction between Harrison and Clapton during the guitar solo is electrifying. Rivals in love and brothers in arms.
They were best friends
@@markarundel7856 Really? You learn something everyday!

@markarundel7856 oh is probly why they were sharing the same woman also 🤪
Clapton plays on the original studio track too
I think one is a very bad guy morally. I never liked him as a person and guess who?
Man, this really shows how much Harrison's voice changed; the original was more of a shy but amazingly talented young man singing, while this is a grown and confident legend.
Indeed. Every single time I listen to the studio version, I come here afterward. His voice reaches that part of my brain that says it is just right. The guitar duel at the end, though... Sheeesh!
Great observation, he was also in denial with the Beatles bringing in Eric to play lead. He didn't understand or was encouraged to see how great and forceful he was....we all now know now though...RIP George.
At times I hear shades of Roy Orbison in George's voice@@justarandomtomato_
Yep, this version drives me wild 😁😎✌️💕🥰😘❤️🌹🕊️🙏LOVE You George, RIP, but you are STILL missed. LOVE this song & ALL the musicians. GOD knows what HE'S doing, Great music 🎶🎵🎶.

After thanking the audience, GH's only words are to acknowledge Eric Clapton.

George’s voice so powerful here, got better and better as he aged
It peaked at around Cloud 9-Travelling Wilburys. Even in Brainwashed it was still in pristine form despite the cancer!
I never heard George singing like that, with that tone. Amazing, really outstanding
Clapton was pushing him..
@@barryware7497 - Pushing him to play but didn’t push him to sing.
Of course Clapton played the solo on the original Beatles recording... The only time a non Beatle had played a guitar part on a Beatles song.
I actually think that his voice got better with age. Usually it's the other way around. He sounds really great here.
George has the last solo no. 1 hit of all ex beatles in 1987 off cloud nine, got my mind set on you.
OMG! I still get chills when I see and hear George Harrison. He is a magnificent spirit.

I’ve got to say that I have never seen Ringo look cooler.

It's in the past every young, George, Clapton, Ringo and so Collins on drums.

I know right?! It's like super sexy! I also like how he says "thank you!" at the end.
100% I never realized he could sing like that.
I loved this era for him. It was like he had fully shaken off the shadow of being a Beatle and could finally revel in who he was. So sure of himself and his talent. His voice just got stronger with age. He is so missed.
Absolutely spot on,100% George was my favourite,he had a beautiful heart and soul and as you said,so missed, may he rest in peace evermore❤
For sure
No offence but that is codswallop, he was rid of The Beatles almost 2 decades earlier
