I have half a mind to get series s but when I looked at game pass there's only like 1-2 games which I'm interested to play rest are indie or some shooter games.

This is hard comparison cause xss is cheaper than ps5 digital but specs difference is huge, really we see after 2 years how xss works i dont believe that xss can put 1080p in next gen games, and game pass is not good for me cause one games can have 100h, and u must interact, but in movies netflix or spotify u can watch everywhere or listen and do another think and can watch many movies per month, and streaming in gaming is bad they never be that response and low input lag like u play on console or pc, so in gaming for me thats stuff is not good like netflix etc.

Nice video Joshua. Quick resume is mind blowing, even if you unplug it keeps last 4 games in memory. Underrated feature imo. You can play games off a USB 3.0 HDD but only cold store next gen games.

I’m a life long Sony fan currently playing mainly on PS5 but this week I picked up an Xbox Series S after always being interested in Microsoft Flight Sim but never played it. I would have bought the X but they are not available anywhere. I’m blown away by how a £250 console plays it. And as for GamePass, it’s well worth the cash I have so many games I now want to play and have the opportunity to play or just try. Also, how cute is this little console 😍

I am finally getting the xbox s. This is my first xbox as well. I always get nintendo consoles. But they xbox all access is such a great deal I couldn't help myself.
Welcome back to consoles. I always gamed on consoles most of my life, however I missed out on most of the PS4 and Xbox One generation. I built my very first gaming PC in early 2011, and I didn't play on console for almost 7 years. In 2017 I got a PS4 for the first time, and then I got an Xbox One in 2018. With that being said, I mainly play on console nowadays, and yes PC is superior in every way, although these new consoles are not that far behind these days. I also love the convenience of playing on conosle, I would much rather just lounge on my couch and play a good singleplayer game, but that's just my opinion.
I am someone who only has Xboxes and has nothing against PlayStation(i play mostly Forza). I appreciate you having a open mind and trying out every way that you can game(Pc, Xbox, and PS). I think the console war is over and that people should just buy the console that allows them to do what they want. The main reason i only use Xbox is cuz i don't want to have to buy new games for 2 different consoles.

I got the Series S last week and it’s my first Xbox ever as well. I’ve always been die hard PlayStation but never hated Xbox just never really looked into it. But man that game pass is incredible it’s like Ps now and Ps plus in one for cheaper with WAY more games. Shoot games I’ve paid like $60 for I played for free on Xbox, it’s gonna take some getting used to but I’m getting the hang of it. Starting to have some real fun with it. Plus the comfort of the controller is amazing
Series S is a great system. I have the series x and the ssd and quick resume is so nice. I had to get use to the idea of just pausing the game and turning off the console and then turn it back on and bam I’m just playing again.
Be sure to expand your horizons with different genres you may have never played before! There are too many games on Gamepass not to take advantage of it
After watching, I felt the same. I appreciate getting off that fanboy foolishness and giving props where props are due. PS5 is incredible but XBox is on par at least, and when Microsoft’s 23 studios start churning out games like butter, they both will have amazing exclusives which works perfectly for true gamers.

I ended up getting a Series S for Game Pass and Assassin's Creed Valhalla and while I wait until next year to get a PS5. I'm honestly really surprised with it, it's an amazing little console and I'm REALLY enjoying the fast load times and the Quick Resume. It's the first Xbox I owned since the 360.

Quick resume and game pass are the best reasons for buying a series s/x in my opinion, I don't have game pass but it is worth getting one even for just quick resume. It is so useful
Might actually pickup a Series S as my secondary Xbox console for traveling or something. Also looks good as a gift, besides giving someone a cheaper access to next gen gaming + Game Pass, they can also use this as a streaming box since it can do 4K HDR content. (Dolby Vision and Atmos support soon for movies)
Congrats! I have always been an Xbox fanboy, always wanted one, cant wait to get my FIRST Xbox console EVER at Christmas! I am getting the series s as well, cause its so portable, and i can put it in my back pack and take it to my friends house to play. I dont need native 4K, since i dont have a 4K TV, and the series x and ps5 are HUGE compared to the Series S, which can easily go in my living room without taking up space. I have been a PlayStation only player for majority of my life, but this Xbox series s console really has my attention. Only 300 dollars and I get a good gaming experience and with game pass. My ps5 will remain my main gaming console but I’m definitely buying this Xbox to play some Xbox exclusives and get into a different perspective of gaming
XBox is a very wow factor in xbox arena and I have been using it for 2 months and godamn it,pretty cool titles on game pass amingst 250+ titles which are downloadable and can stream cloud gaming on mobile,that is insane value for money man!
You might want to move the series s speaker grill away from the tv. The tv is restricting some of the airflow, making the console warmer than it should, and it's also warming the tv in return

If somebody hasn't said it already don't put the vent to your Xbox series s facing your TV put it facing somewhere else so the heat doesn't rise along your television. Great video by the way.
I had wanted to get the ps5 but my homies going with the series s cause it’s cheaper so I am too and this will be my first Xbox and so I’ve just been looking at reviews and unboxings and it’s looking pretty solid, I’ve already put it on my Christmas list and it’s really good for gamers on the cheaper side.

Slide your Series S behind your TV. The heat from the system vent can damage your TV light nodes over time. I had the same issue with a cable box a couple months back.

Check under your TV to see if it has vents, if it does then don't place anything that dispels heat under it because the heat will rise into the TV and damage the nodes which lights the panels to get an image. I noticed some burn in a few months after getting my TV right where the cable box was.. turns out the heat from the cable box had damaged the strip in the TV.

Some positive critical comments... 1/ Try not to explain your actions, they are a distraction and are not Needed. 2/ Cut to the chase, long reviews are fine, but not ones that feel stretched 3/ On a subject like this you can do less head shoulders stuff and more actual activity. Yes , it takes more effort to film but just balances tgi Vs more 4/ The slow reveal shot of you opening the box is fine but wrong angle ... If you don't understand that, imagine what your opening is a box of hidden treasure, for examples just check those scenes in films which they are in. 5/Main tip... Treat your vids like your telling a story... A good start is important...For example, start with I've never owned an Xbox before ... It needs to vent /the fan . The black circle pushes a lot of heat . it looks like it might be blocking the fan and won’t be a productive venting solution. You have to treat the Xbox like a newborn making sure it’s safe. Thanks for the video
Very nice unbox and first impressions review. The Series S, is simply, for people that still don't have a 4k (oled) tv. When you buy a cheap 4K tv with hdr, you also buy this console, and as a next gen plus, your resolution is now 1440p, so this next gen console, delivers anything you expect from a next gen-upgrade. That is, and ONLY (!) you switch from a 1080p tv to a cheap 4k one. There are probably many people in this situation, that now the time has come, to get rid of that old 1080p-screen. Must be an amazing upgrade, higher resolution, ray tracing, SSD, RDNA2 architecture to look at... This console, is NOT for people that already have a good 4K tv. Cause... You might like the new graphical features, but after a while, you gonna wonder how that game should look if you where playing it on a Series X. Cause you have the television for it. You know the tv can do more, but the next gen console doesnt 'allow' it. It's gonna eat you up from the inside out whilst time passes... The Series S, does anything the Series X does, only, at a lower resolution. It's like the Xbox One X has six terraflops, only to push pixels to get native 4K results. Thats why the Series S has lesser terraflops than the X One X, cause it doesnt have to push the pixels to get a native 4K-resolution. Thats why the Series X has 12 terraflops of computing power. Apart that it has to do all what the PS5 has to do, it has to push the pixels. That's why not al PS5 games are 4K, the developer has already to choose carefully which feature they are gonna push. Lets hope the Series X delivers, and delivers. Personally, i wouldnt mind the Series S, but i know myself, and i know that with this 4k Oled tv here, i´m gonna regret soon. So ill wait a little bit longer, but im happy for those people with an old tv. For those people, Series S is amazing. And dont forget: You can get to play the new Halo and Microsoft bought Bethesda! Not ever again, are people going to refer to the Xbox-brand as the brand with 'no exclusives.' It's an amazing deal, which amazes and hurts both parties at the same time no matter how you look at it. For example: I might be happy Bethesda is 'mine,' or 'ours,' but at the same time, i feel sorry for those PS5 gamers that can´t get to play the next Elder Scrolls when it launches on Xbox. Or when i enjoy that game, im not gonna think: "Eat that PS5 suckers!" No, im going to think it´s a shame not more people can get to experience this awesome game... But, it is an amazing deal i have to admit, cause Bethesda, was always a little bit 'Microsoft.' Remember they released Elder Scrolls 3 on Xbox. In doing so, binding me forever to the Xbox-brand. So in my eyes, Bethesda always was a little bit Microsoft. They pair together. An amazing deal, cause Phil Spencer and Tod Howard seems to aim at their core audience. I got my Xbox Series S off my girlfriends cousin brand new in the box for only 250.00 dollars which was a damn good deal so I made sure I didn’t pass that up. I also got my disc drive PS5 for free almost brand new in the box, probably like 2 weeks old from my own cousin since he didn’t want his anymore since he got the Xbox Series X so I think I made out pretty damn good this generation.

I personally think Gamepass is awesome. Games are so expensive these days typically 60-80 bucks now. If i can get a hundred games , etc for a few hundred a year I am good with that. It is a lot easier then buying 70 dollar game ; and trading it in for 12 bucks lol.

yeah consoles are catching up to pc. They are in the realm and the prices are amazing for what you get

It’s really small and easy to carry around. I have it and when I travel, I have no issues in packing it in my backpack.

Quick resume and game pass are the best reasons for buying a series s/x in my opinion, I don't have game pass but it is worth getting one even for just quick resume. It is so useful

Also looks good as a gift, besides giving someone a cheaper access to next gen gaming + Game Pass, they can also use this as a streaming box since it can do 4K HDR content. (Dolby Vision and Atmos support soon for movies)
Congrats! I have always been an Xbox fanboy, always wanted one, cant wait to get my FIRST Xbox console EVER at Christmas! I am getting the series s as well, cause its so portable, and i can put it in my back pack and take it to my friends house to play. I dont need native 4K, since i dont have a 4K TV, and the series x and ps5 are HUGE compared to the Series S, which can easily go in my living room without taking up space. Plus, i dont have any disks, and i am a digital guy. I hope you enjoy your series s!

I have been a PlayStation only player for majority of my life, but this Xbox series s console really has my attention. Only 300 dollars and I get a good gaming experience and with game pass. My ps5 will remain my main gaming console but I’m definitely buying this Xbox to play some Xbox exclusives and get into a different perspective of gaming

XBox is a very wow factor in xbox arena and I have been using it for 2 months and godamn it,pretty cool titles on game pass amingst 250+ titles which are downloadable and can stream cloud gaming on mobile,that is insane value for money man!
You might want to move the series s speaker grill away from the tv. The tv is restricting some of the airflow, making the console warmer than it should, and it's also warming the tv in return

If somebody hasn't said it already don't put the vent to your Xbox series s facing your TV put it facing somewhere else so the heat doesn't rise along your television. Great video by the way.
I had wanted to get the ps5 but my homies going with the series s cause it’s cheaper so I am too and this will be my first Xbox and so I’ve just been looking at reviews and unboxings and it’s looking pretty solid, I’ve already put it on my Christmas list and it’s really good for gamers on the cheaper side.

He mentioned it only being 1080p but looking to upgrade it. Series S is only meant for 1440p so I'm sure a 4k tv wouldn't have issues with it.

I never got a Xbox but have really been on the fence about the series s and I got the PlayStation 5 but I’d love to play some halo as I played that over 10 years ago on pc and loved it.

This is also my first xbox. I don't have a true 'next gen' game on it yet, but I am loving it so far.
Slide your Series S behind your TV. The heat from the system vent can damage your TV light nodes over time. I had the same issue with a cable box a couple months back.
Would it be okay to have the series s laying down in front of the tv istead of under?
@@ultimategohan1551 Yeah that should be fine. Check under your TV to see if it has vents, if it does then don't place anything that dispels heat under it because the heat will rise into the TV and damage the nodes which lights the panels to get an image. I noticed some burn in a few months after getting my TV right where the cable box was.. turns out the heat from the cable box had damaged the strip in the TV.

Just a heads up. The series S CAN do 4K 1440p is the sweetspot but on some games you will see 4k.

Some positive critical comments...
1/ Try not to explain your actions, they are a distraction and are not Needed.
2/ Cut to the chase, long reviews are fine, but not ones that feel stretched
3/ On a subject like this you can do less head shoulders stuff and more actual activity. Yes , it takes more effort to film but just balances tgi Vs more
4/ The slow reveal shot of you opening the box is fine but wrong angle ... If you don't understand that, imagine what your opening is a box of hidden treasure, for examples just check those scenes in films which they are in.
5/Main tip... Treat your vids like your telling a story... A good start is important...For example, start with I've never owned an Xbox before ... Straight away we are pulled in because we are asking the questions, then you supply them, you could even list them at the beginning ....

I had the 360 back in 2006. This is my first Xbox since. Gotta see if I can get used to the controllers again and see how to go about playing online.
I'm not an xbox fan boy but this particular video of yours is making me considering one, well for forza and halo so far.
It needs to vent /the fan . The black circle pushes a lot of heat . it looks like it might be blocking the fan and won’t be a productive venting solution. You have to treat the Xbox like a newborn making sure it’s safe. Thanks for the video

The Series S, is simply, for people that still don't have a 4k (oled) tv.
When you buy a cheap 4K tv with hdr, you also buy this console, and as a next gen plus, your resolution is now 1440p, so this next gen console, delivers anything you expect from a next gen-upgrade. That is, and ONLY (!) you switch from a 1080p tv to a cheap 4k one.
There are probably many people in this situation, that now the time has come, to get rid of that old 1080p-screen.
Must be an amazing upgrade, higher resolution, ray tracing, SSD, RDNA2 architecture to look at...
This console, is NOT for people that already have a good 4K tv.
Cause... You might like the new graphical features, but after a while, you gonna wonder how that game should look if you where playing it on a Series X.
Cause you have the television for it.
You know the tv can do more, but the next gen console doesnt 'allow' it.
It's gonna eat you up from the inside out whilst time passes...
The Series S, does anything the Series X does, only, at a lower resolution.
It's like the Xbox One X has six terraflops, only to push pixels to get native 4K results.
Thats why the Series S has lesser terraflops than the X One X, cause it doesnt have to push the pixels to get a native 4K-resolution.
Thats why the Series X has 12 terraflops of computing power.
Apart that it has to do all what the PS5 has to do, it has to push the pixels.
That's why not al PS5 games are 4K, the developer has already to choose carefully which feature they are gonna push.
Lets hope the Series X delivers, and delivers.
Personally, i wouldnt mind the Series S, but i know myself, and i know that with this 4k Oled tv here, i´m gonna regret soon.
So ill wait a little bit longer, but im happy for those people with an old tv. For those people, Series S is amazing.
And dont forget: You can get to play the new Halo and Microsoft bought Bethesda!

It's an amazing deal, which amazes and hurts both parties at the same time no matter how you look at it.
For example: I might be happy Bethesda is 'mine,' or 'ours,' but at the same time, i feel sorry for those PS5 gamers that can´t get to play the next Elder Scrolls when it launches on Xbox.

I got my Xbox Series S off my girlfriends cousin brand new in the box for only 250.00 dollars which was a damn good deal so I made sure I didn’t pass that up. I also got my disc drive PS5 for free almost brand new in the box, probably like 2 weeks old from my own cousin since he didn’t want his anymore since he got the Xbox Series X so I think I made out pretty damn good this generation.
I’d take this over the PS5

I personally think Gamepass is awesome. Games are so expensive these days typically 60-80 bucks now. If i can get a hundred games , etc for a few hundred a year I am good with that. It is a lot easier then buying 70 dollar game ; and trading it in for 12 bucks lol.
Joshua , did you tested any xbox one game? How better it is from one to series s? Any improvement? Does it render on 1440p or upscale to 1440p?
Dont leave the xbox under ur tv it may get damaged coz the upper vent is that black circle and can coz a lot of problems
try "quick resume" this feature lat you jump between games in like 7 seconds
Game Pass is a feather in Xboxes cap, for a few quid a month there a ton of games, many of which are, amazingly, top titles.
