Nice one buddy, beat the snot out of it. They are after market micarta handle scales .....because i love it, im going to get a leather sheath possibly fir it.
This beast will pry open car doors, house/shed doors, assist with making firewood as well as cut steak, feather sticking, stoking fire, but most of all it really comes down to ones skills and abilities as possibilities are endless with bk 2
I received one today but It's an upgraded version. It's called the BK72 with a S35VN blade Micarta scales and Kydex sheath . Can't wait to go on a ramble with it . Tomorrow can't come quick enough mate .
It's a great survival knife. I have one in my Urban emergency bag because in a city there's all kinds of different tough material to cut through other than wood.
How's it hangin wooly a new beating stick on the list of things to forage next cracking lookin knife but a bit to heavy duty for trekking and camping out, there's alot more out there that's more tactile and practical but still nice
I have mine for an urban get home bag I have other knives for a walk in the woods, or where I live, the desert. I purchased mine as a crowbar with an edge.
Well if you wanted to bk2 you could have mine it's too big for me. It's like a stubby little machete Like that it's just too thick for a short as it is. It's a little lighter and the same shape. Would be a great little knife. But it's just too thick.
Granted it's a great knife holds a super sharp edge. But the blade is just too short. I like the knife I like the grip other than the blade length if. I ever buy another B K2. It's gonna? Be. A 7
Batterning = yep Feather stick = yep Throw a spark = yep? Dishwasher safe = NO! I think l will have to pass Wooly, at that weight 'it would fair pull me kecks down' (as we say in these parts)
@@RedBranchBushcraft They cheap. You can buy a basic one for around £7. They been around for years one of mine is over 50 years old. I even keep two mora chefs knifes in my work knife case.
A faca Tabu 3, do cuteleiro brasileiro Israel Barreto, da Cutelaria Artesanal Peniel, que eu mostro no meu canal, é infinitamente melhor que essa Kabar BK2

Excellent stuff, let me know how you get on

Excellent stuff,
Being an outdoorsman and hunter , I would never have a sharp spine on a knife. Very nice video & thumbs up.
Cheers buddy
Ive been using mine since 2019. Its a heavy knife, but its also a light axe and hammer. Multi function is what I like about it.
Nice
I have a BK2+Mora Companion and a 3/8 Light My Fire in a piggyback sheath in all my vehicles.... Great knife! Love the ESEE-6 too!!
Excellent

Agreed on all that

That's a solid plan
Never realized that knife was such a beast!
Yep, a handsome beast
That's a bit of a beast, reminds me of my British army one.
Blade profile is similar
I have seen these over the years, not a bad knife but they did skeletinize the tang a few years back.
Decent feeling handle as well.
I was surprised at how nice it was, it's very heavy though
As mentioned by another, it's NOT FULL TANG, it's SKELETONISED, and it's FULLY SKELETONISED!
@ancientheart2240 cheers buddy
I have a Becker Campanion made by Camillus . Solid full tang and the collector value on the old Campanion keeps climbing.
@QuantumMechanic_88 nice
Prefer the bk7 but the 9 is better if i could choose one. If you couple the 9 with the bk19 you have everything covered.
Nice
6.6mm thick 1/4 of a inch
Nice
Next best thing to a small axe
You said it
Pro tip use a piece of tungsten for a striker nothing works better
Nice
Very thuggy knife, I like it.
Lol, it's a beast

That's the same with me, I have a 6mm custom knife here that I don't use as it's to thick, and heavy!!
Hi Wooly.
Nice knife, but is it worth the price?
Or could you do the same sort of thing with a 3 quid axe from a bootsale?
😉
Lol, yes
@@RedBranchBushcraft 🤣😉
Lol
Don't like the grind but without doubt it's a great knife for the money. You won't go far wrong with this puppy.
Nope, a beast
For knives made of 1095, the prices are crazy
Prices are crazy all over

Lololo, I hear ya, it's a heavy beast
I have the bk7 beast
Nice
About enough for hand to hand combat with bigfoot.😆
Lol
Pray you never need to prove that… human
I stick to my Mora knifes at that price.
Lol, a mora will do the job to

Sorry buddy I don't understand
It's a bs knife.
Different colours would be nice
Apologies, wrong comment, did you not like it?
@@RedBranchBushcraft I believe the commentator is stating it is a 'bloody superb' knife! I have to agree with him! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
