I own A LOT of large fixed blades from Bark River to Cold Steel and the BK2 is my absolute favorite fixed blade of all time. I want to reproduce this knife in 5160. Great channel, good content, I love your Apocalypse knife.
Closed my eyes for a second and thought I was listening to Brian from Family Guy. The KA-BAR Becker BK2 Companion Knife is nice, but if you remove the handles, you'll see they've removed quite a bit of steel. In my opinion, it's not a true full tang because of that. On the other hand, the ESEE 5 is a beast of a knife. It's one solid piece of steel, with only the holes drilled to fit the handle scales. Unlike the BK2, the ESEE 5 doesn't compromise on material, making it a more robust and reliable option.
This is my go to apocalypse knife. Owned one for about 6 years now. Tried to replace it with the BK19 just because of the weight difference. The BK19 chipped and failed trying to do similar tasks the BK2 does easily.
I love my bk2, stripped the coating, gave it a vinegar patina and it’s perfect. Bk2 + a small hatchet + Swiss Army knife is the perfect combo for camping. For backpacking and being light this is not it but semi comfy camping with a bit more than bare minimum, this is the perfect knife
I love Kabars, I have the Becker folder and I'm getting a fixed blade next.
Ka Bar mule is a super folder!

80crv2 is better then 5160
5160 is better for machetes
Hell of a video bud, first time watching. I own the BK2 I believe everyone should own one.look forward to seeing more videos. 😊
I like quarter inch thick knives as well. I have the Bk2 and the esee 5 and I love them both
Well put.

Use the sharpening choil for a firesteel. Works fine.

I do like the black coating ..but everyone seems to strip it ..did u just put vinegar all over or in strips ?
👍 I like your haircut.
Never had one of these. Looks like a good splitter but to short.
If I was to choose a Becker line knife as my companion I would go for the longer model.
@@stonefallknives5518 my thoughts exactly 💯
Not a skinning knife. The floppy is an advantage. So stop throwing it in the snow if rust is an issue. The ceracote finish helps dramatically
I prefer the essee 5
What is ur favorite knife and why
This is going to be its own video
stronger than him , Tops Black-Rhino , yeaaah

90% of my blades are 1095 on purpose.
