Nice place and great investment by the town. It looked like sand but I guess that is clay. I like the black kits you both are wearing. Black is my favorite color.
The path looked a little narrow but it’s only usually a problem at that start of runs. We parked outside the wine shop when we visited and the only other thing I recall were the corn flies being attracted to my yellow running top 😂
@@tworunningbrooms I live a stone's throw from those arches (800m as the crow flies) and run under them all the time. But I had no idea there was a parkrun here! I'm a middle-distance track runner which is probably why. But I am planning to record some virtual parkrun's for my channel. I'll check out the video, thanks.
Cheers Dawn & John. Think it’s awesome the community got together to make this event happen. Something really positive. Hope your 20 miler went ok. Ps. ParkRuns with field in the name? I guessed 12 but couldn’t actually name any. 😆
We believe that Torvean was primarily built for parkrun. Work on the road by the Caledonian Canal meant that the golf course lost a hole and the land was repurposed by laying a path around the grass and pond. Formerly the Inverness parkrun, it moved 1km down the road and was renamed. It even has a permanent podium for the RD to make announcements etc.
Millom is another where they now run parkrun on a purpose built track. As a result it went from being one of the slowest (due to being a muddy/wet field for most of the year) to much faster.
I love your Parkrun videos and John's "interesting stories". Well done guys.
Thanks for watching Neil
Great video, thanks for visiting!!
Thanks for hosting Colin. A real showcase for the town.

We had the tops made up by a local sports store. It's like a firm clay with some hardcore in. Thanks for watching.
Thats so cool. Great that people had the desire to get it done and setup 👍
Thanks for watching, Stu.
That looked like a great parkrun, we really need to go on a few more tourist visits, thanks for the awesome video as always 😊😊
Thanks you two.

I think the surgery car park is available most weeks except when there is Saturday morning surgery.
02:00 if my eyes aren't mistaken isn't that the 5 tunnels at the Greenway, Radstock your running along?
You are correct. That clip is taken from the Five Arches parkrun which passes through them four times. We did a video on that run back in October.

The 20 went fine, thanks. There's more to come. 🙂

Hope you had a good experience

That's really interesting thanks. I never knew that.

Yes, I remember that. Must pay a visit.
Manor Field, Whittlesey is my local parkrun.
I’m having a guess at 17 with the word ‘field’ in their title.
Yes that's one of... (more than 17) 😉
In THiS video I can really tell you are teachers!!😂😂
The poise. The charm. The air of natural erudition...
Guess 33.
Your guess was very good. I made it 32 on the UK parkrun site.
@@tworunningbrooms ah, soooo close! Maybe I’ll start another to make 33!
