I'm sorry we weren't there on the day, and so sorry the Knavesmire pub ran out of food, poor Poppy! But glad you had a good party at the back.
Did you see Poppy's face in the pub?! I laugh so much every time I see it 🤣 it was the most beautiful morning we were very lucky! Missed you guys but it was great to see Ste the next day at the bottom of that huge hill! Really pleased you enjoyed the video 🤗

Lol, yeah not sure she'd go back bless her 🤣 she just wanted a hot chocolate to keep her going although I did have a couple of pieces of fruit in my bag which did not cut the mustard so the sad face remained until she could have something warm 🙃 It was a brilliant and beautiful day though, despite the 7 weather systems 😜🤣

Ended up at Sandwell Valley that Sat; would have been pushing but not quick enough to yell "Dolly or Bev" when lapping, so would have been there for the Y and parkfaff if I had ended up in York. I'll get there next year. And Amanda M-H is awesome, prob my fave bit of the CowFest North at Bramley (is family) in Summer was her enthusiasm and joy, it's infectious!

Well done Poppy on your 97th venue. I did York not long ago for my Y, not as windy when I visited. Wanted to do well as its flat but injury made this a slower run than I would have liked and it’s too far to go back.

York parkrun is ace! I love being able to see across to the runners the other side 😃 massive lol to all runners looking the same, you're right though! That's why supporting a big marathon is harder than running it 🤣🤣🤣
A bit flatter than our day out! We took inspiration from you and visited Whinlatter Forest yesterday. I usually run in 24-25 minutes (did York in 22ish a couple of years ago) and just sneaked under 30. My word the hills at Whinlatter!
It was a bit bleak and miserable, although we climbed to the top of Whinlatter afterwards and had a lovely view down the valley to Keswick afterwards. Our daughter Effie has now climbed 60 Wainwrights and we are determined to get all 214 done in the next 3 years before she reaches 18.

What a complete ****! Great to see such a busy and happy gaggle of parkwalkers! I've just got back to running after 5 months off with a heel injury. Lots of walking! I've made a few videos so would be eternally grateful if you'd take a peek and let me know what you thin - no pressure, however! 🙂
Ooh I'll definitely have a peek and welcome back to running! 😃 Being injured sucks! It's actually a bit complicated as the person claiming to be from parkrun actually was! 😱 He's apologised to Steph afterwards though because obviously he shouldn't have told her she couldn't parkrun, he could have it written into parkrun rules if it's genuinely not allowed but he made an error in making her feel unwelcome and not introducing himself properly and then not speaking to Steph using the usual welcoming tone you'd expect at a parkrun... It is after all a public space so she could tyre drag but just not take a token etc but honestly if dogs are allowed I can't for the life of me imagine why a slow moving tyre would be too high risk for parkrun... It's the world gone mad if you ask me?! 🤷🏻♀️
