Hi Morgan ! 🥰 I just started making my own puff quilt following your video step by step and I’m having so much fun ✨ I haven’t sew in years and you made me rediscover this passion. Thank you 💕
I’m a fairly avid crafter but haven’t sewn in years, I saw your puff quilt on TikTok and within a week convinced myself to buy literally everything you had on your Amazon storefront including the sewing machine to make my own puff quilt🥲 I am going to a 4 day crafting retreat in 2 weeks and plan on making my quilt there, I still need to pick out my fabrics but I am so excited and nervous!!🥵 Just wanted to say thank you for relighting my creative spark that had gone dormant✨🫶🏼
For avocado toast, I buy the smashed avocados in the little package. I buy them from Costco. You can freeze them and they last forever. I thaw them out in the container in some warm water. Serious game changer. One container makes two pieces of toast. ❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial it was perfect, and it answered all the questions from your other videos on your puff quilts. Got my fabrics now on to giving it a try. Thanks Morgan!!!
I commented on your tik tok as Ana Rojas but incase you didn’t see it there I wanted to let you know your girls with anxiety 🤝🏽 puff quilts video popped up on my FYP so I immediately stalked your entire tik tok and went and bought a sewing machine and all the supplies and started making my own puff quilt !! I watched your tutorial on how to make one and it was SO helpful and I’m so obsessed!! I’m so glad I found your page and found out all about puff quilts because they are seriously so cute !!
I started making one bc of your videos!! I am struggling with sewing the rows already stuffed together 😅 I think I stuffed them too much but it’s cause I wanted a fuller puff look if that makes sense so I’ve been having to go back over them bc they’re popping 🤦🏽♀️ stopped at my 4th row cause I just need to figure out what I’m doing wrong lol
What kind of backing do you use ? Also, I have never sown and I am obsessed with your puff quilt! I bought me a sewing machine! Excited to try to make a Christmas quilt! 😊
Does the king size fit in a washer? Just thinking maybe to put some snaps down the middle so you can take them apart and wash twine sized ones separately
Here from tiktok! I got a bunch of fabric on sale for 25 cents and had no idea what to do with it and your tik tok appeared. I’m finally getting to the point of filling.. How much filming did you buy/use? 5 pounds? Or less?
As a newbie sewer I just need someone to tell me: 1) how big the blanket is (queen size?) And most importantly 2) how much material to buy! I see she wrote she used 12 different ones but HOW much of each do I need/ask for? And how much for the backing? I’m on a budget so don’t want to overbuy!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
it’s really hard to say because depending on how you sew it can get bit smaller/ larger from square to square but as a rough estimate I usually do the length/width of the blanket you want to make divided by 5in (the size of the backing squares is 5.5 inches but if you do a 1/4 inch seam on both sides it will be roughly 5in once sewn) to see roughly how many squares you’ll need. then multiply the number of squares you get by 6in (the size of the pattern squares) to see how much fabric you’ll need of that. you also need to look at the fabric you’re buying to see how wide it is because they can be different widths so you can get more or less squares out of each yard. i’m sorry LOL it’s very confusing to explain but I used 12 patters I believe for the halloween quilt I made and I used about 1/2 a yard of each pattern! that blanket is a good size for a queen bed but it’s really something you will have to adjust per project

I meant to say backing for the squares ! Thanks!
@@jenniferparker7625she said she used a plain white sheet. Great idea.
Inspired to start making my first one! Thinking a baby blanket, how many squares overall do you recommend. I know your big quilt had 16 rows

Love this! What’s your seam allowance?
how long and how width did your 16x14 puff quilt turn out? (I want to make a 2yard by 2yard or something)
For the king size quilt, how many squares do you think you had to make?

What sewing machine do you have? How many yards of fabric did you buy of each cloth?
I use a brother machine (🔗 in the description) and I used 12 different fabrics for the puffs!🫶🏼
