Loved this tutorial on how to make a puff quilt. I wish you had shown how you did the sides of the quilt in this video. I didn't think about doing x' s in the squares. I can't wait to make a puff quilt. Thank you!
You can see the written instructions here: www.adventuresofadiymom.com/2022/01/how-to-make-puff-quilt.html Basically, I sewed the quilt together (with the binding on top, then the puff layer, then the bottom layer) all the way around the edge. Then I trimmed the excess backing and hand sewed the binding to the back. Here's a a video on adding binding: th-cam.com/video/r9DKeQ1Ql_Y/w-d-xo.html
I’m a beginner sewer and me and my mom both want to learn how to make puff quilts together. Is it possible to hand sew these as well? Because we don’t have a sewing machine.
Is it possible to sew all three sides of a square and then continue (without cutting thread I mean) onto a new square? I know you have to leave the last side open for stuffing.
Do you have any advise on washing your puff quilt? Can it handle the washing machine or does it need to be dry earned? I finished mine a couple of months ago and I love it so much and want to take care of it the best way possible.
I actually haven't washed mine yet. It's only been used decoratively. I suggest either hand washing or using the gentle cycle on your machine. You can probably toss it in the dryer on low heat, or let it air dry. Let us know how it goes.

I’m a big fan of setting the machine in a needle down position. Seems like when you are stuffing the biscuits, there would be less slippage.
That’s smart!
Thanks for making it so easy. This is my first bubble quilt to try, and you showed me exactly how and what I must do. Cant wait to get started.
You’re such an amazing teacher! This was beyond helpful. Thank you!🤎

Good idea.. Very easy process ❤️
Beautiful quilt
I like the fact that you made the pattern somewhat random.
Love your tutorial, your puff quilt looks so good. Do you sew the X in every corner? I am hoping to make one of these this year.
Yes, I did see an X in every corner
Making puff is easy for anyone but the finishing is important the was not shown edges not shown incomplete video
Do you have any instructions on attaching a border to a puff quilt? Thank you.
How long is how many squares long and how many squares wide did you do this one and how do you attach the sides? And also, how do you wash it?
What size do you cut the back of the squares?
The back square of each puff is 4 1/2 inches. The top piece of each puff is 5 inches
I am wanting to make a bubble quilt for my granddaughters graduation. How much material do you need for a twin size bed?
Do you pre-wash your fabric? How do you recommend cleaning the quilt?
I didn't pre-wash, but you could if you want. I suggest using the gentle cycle or handwashing the quilt. Tumble dry low, or hang to dry.
