the last story has some MAJOR updates! the mom has been emotionally controlling and infantilizing the daughter her whole life and eventually she asks her brother for help, and they get her away from the crazy mom and the daughter becomes a normal person with a good relationship with her brother!
Story 1: I'm very into textile arts. This is why I don't do commissions. People have no clue what the supplies cost and expect the labor for free. I once had someone ask me to knit them a pair of wool socks for $5. The yarn alone would have cost $20 minimum at the time. I offered to teach her to knit her own for free. She was offended. She can go barefoot. The entitled coworker in this story can pick up a dozen cloth diapers to use as burp clothes for under $20.
Someone told me I could sell a large piece she saw me working on. I told her materials were over $50.00 and it took 40 hours to make, how much should I sell it for? She had no answer.
Yup. I'm a blacksmith, and get a lot of people who have watched Forged on Fire thinking I can make them a knife in 3 hours so it should cost about $30 lol. People are dumb.
My late sister did this too, and sometimes made gifts for glose family. Being into other hobbies myself, I can identify with the amount of work such things take.
I cross stitch, and a co worker came to me one day with a little picture kit of Jesus and asked me to do it for a mutual co worker who was off because of sickness. I looked it over and said it would take me a month, and I would do it as long as she had it framed. We agreed and I stitched it, I even washed and ironed it and prepared it to be mounted and framed, but when I brought it back the co worker wanted to know why I hadn't framed it, too! When I reminded her that was her agreed upon part of this gift, she got all upset and said framing cost too much, and the price of the kit was her share. I refused to do that, and left it with her, saying I had done my share. Six months later at a union meeting. the co worker tossed it back to me and said I could have it because she was tired of having it bouncing around in the back of her truck all that time! What happened to it being a gift for this other woman? Who knows? I brought it home, rewashed it and had it framed for my own house!
Story 3 - My cousin when she was 16, looked early 20s due to her height and build, had a similar situation, however her fight response kicked in on such and slammed the woman into the nearby wall. Unfortunately for her a cop had come around the corner and saw her do it and jumped her and put her in cuffs. While that happened the woman came in and cut her hair. However, what the woman didnt realize was there was a camera in a nearby store that caught her actions and the worker there had come out when hearing my cousin shouting at the woman, then went back in to call the police when my cousin had slammed the women into the wall, but on coming back out she saw the cop there and my cousin in cuffs. Well she got called back in for a customer and it was then that worker realized the camera caught it and had gone out to inform another officer that was there taking this woman's statement. This woman of course kept lying through her teeth saying that my cousin attacked her and she didnt do anything, however the officer that was speaking to my cousin was looking at her hair and noticed that something was off, told my cousin to sit tight and went in with the worker to view the footage. Within two minutes he was back out and demanding the woman to show what she had in her handbag, of course she refused so they tried to detain her and when they went to cuff her she immediately put up a fight, only to find herself tasered and cuffed for her troubles. On checking her handbag they found the scissors, the 7in/17.5cm variety, along with a lock of my cousin's hair. It was at this point I had arrived since I was to be meeting my cousin and saw them releasing her from cuffs and they asked her if she wanted to lay charges, of course by that time her flight had kicked in and she just wanted to be done with it all and leave, however I told the cops who I was, then told them that charges would be laid because the woman assaulted a minor because she was 16. This had the cop immediately asking my cousin for her ID, which after some gentle prodding from me she pulled her school ID and showed them. OF course this woman is now kicking up and saying that my cousin is an adult not a kid and she is lying. However, being someone that kept up with laws, such as those regarding the carrying of things like knives, I pointed out to the cop I was talking to, but loud enough for her and the small crowd to hear, that whether my cousin is an adult or child, she came at her with a blade that is longer than legally allowed on the streets, and since you used it in the proceeds of a crime, that makes it assault with a deadly weapon. It immediately shut the woman up that is for certain, specially when the other cop had started reading her her rights. Overall my cousin didnt have to go to court because the woman ended up taking a plea deal, she still got 6 month community service and a 3 year good behavior bond, I did hear however that she broke that bond after her service had finished when she got caught shoplifting so ended up in jail anyway.
@@gwendolynross1674 Missing the point? Yeah, they should be doing it themselves. Anyone with a functional braincell can tell they should be doing it themselves. So, assuming OP's wife has at least the same brainpower as a lima bean; why did the wife say her husband should've done it for them? The point isn't that they should have done their own yard work. The point is: What is OP's wife's major malfunction that she somehow *agrees* with the sapient pond scum they call neighbors?
Story 2: Maybe when the new neighbors bought the house from Mr. B's children, they asked what yard service maintained the property. The sellers innocently replied that there was no service, and that OP just did it to help out. The new neighbors, in all their entitlement, believed OP's generosity would extend to them.
I've always found it both funny and depressing just how many parents think that their kids owe them for giving birth to and raising them. Like, whose decision do you think that was?
Attention parents! Giving birth to and raising your kids is not you doing them a massive favour. Those are basic requirements for being parents. And any decent parent does those things gladly and for free. Your kids do not owe you for doing those things.
If my mother was like the one in story #4 I would have told her “Snap those fingers at me again like that and it’ll be the last time you snap your fingers cuz I’ll break them!” I got no time for entitled family members as I got a few from my step-family that I deal with often
Story 3: Why does red hair always cause problems? It's like a bullfighting ring. Also, that's basically assault to cut someone's hair without consent. You don't just take hair, it doesn't work like that
Tell me about it. I'm a natural red head and people act like total fools about my hair but if someone came at my head with scissors, to cut my hair off, they'd draw back a broken hand.
They were already pulling her hair without her consent even after she told them to stop before there were even scissors involved, I absolutely would've called the police!! 😳 my hair is past my butt these days and it's my built in security blanket that I worked very hard to achieve over the years, and it absolutely attracts some WEIRDOS! I had a woman behind me in line at the grocery store once who grabbed ALL of my hair in her meaty fist and lifted it up so she could look underneath it, checking for extensions. She could've just asked if I had them and I would've told her no, but instead she just invited herself to grab the part of me I'm most protective of 😡 she acted so offended when I told her "please don't touch me without my consent" and I pulled my hair forward over my shoulder and out of her reach....as if I was being the most horrible person on earth for valuing my personal space. I never thought I'd hear an actual human being exclaim "well I NEVER!" but.... 😂
Karens are so bull-headed and full of bullsh%t that they probably can't stand the color and start frothing at the mouth at the sight of such a beautiful and unique hair color.
I think because it's so vibrant and stands out more than your usual brown, brunette, blonde and black hair colors. People get mad over what they can't have.
Story 1 - For crying out loud, OP, anyone can see Karen is trying to manipulate you! If you let her get away with it, she'll just ask you for more freebies. Your husband is right. Stand your ground, and if Karen doesn't like it, that's her problem. Story 4 - In my opinion, OP made a slight tactical error. Here's how I would have handled it. When she asked me who I was dialing, I'd have said, "Don't worry; you'll find out." If she persisted, I'd have said, "It's a surprise, and I don't want to spoil it for you." Then I'd have walked away from her until I completed the call. After that, I'd have invited her and the sister to sit down and talk, and I'd have stalled until the police arrived. When they arrived, I'd have told them the whole story. Then I'd have looked at the mother and said, "Now do you want to leave quietly, or would you rather go to jail?"
The last story has further updates. The sister made a complete 180, & realized how toxic her behavior and mother was. OP said how she lives with regret about how she treated their dad, etc.
The last episode has more to it. OP posted updates. Basically he and his sister ended up reconciling and facing their mother together. Sister and boyfriend got their acts together and sister went into therapy to address her entitlement and abuse from their mom. Its actually a really good couple of updates. I can't find them currently but theres other channels who've also covered the full story.
Story 4: This is what happens when you lose the "control" that you thought you had. The two made an absolute fool of themselves and were powerless against the will, yet they thought they could play victims. Honestly, good on OP for standing up for himself.
Narcissists always think they have something over you, especially if they did previously, like a parent over a child. It’s like they think time stands still and you’re always in a position of weakness to them, even if decades have gone by. They expect to dominate the child that was, rather than face the adult that is.
And.... How does evil Entitled Mother and Sis expect to pay property taxes and services with little or no income, IF Op had given them HIS house? 🤨 The audacity of those idiots.
Story 1: "We don't always get what we want, and you shouldn't promise things YOU can't deliver." Story 2: Why on earth would you expect your neighbor to plow or mow your property, especially after you were told to get a mower and plow.
OH! The trid story has a lot of updates, a great turn out of events and so much more, OP has a real treat of a mom, you can make a hole video just with his stories.
I once had a coworker who wanted me to crochet a rug. Ok. I sat her down and showed her, time and material, how much it cost. She blundered, confessing that she didn't know it would take so much time. Translation: she thought I wouldn't charge her a salary. Nope. Not in this lifetime.
I do crafting too. And I have been asked if I would make things for people. I rarely ended up doing it. I am always amazed how someone will not thing twice about paying retail prices for similar items that are of far less quality in construction, but pitch a fit over the price I would quote for the same or similar items, hand crafted, better quality materials and craftsmanship. Even when they would offer to buy/supple the materials, the would figure that should be the end of the cost to them ..... like my time has/had not worth. Like I said, I rarely do it.
The last story does have an update. The sister ended up reaching out to Op for help because their mother was trying to break up Op's sister and her boyfriend. Op's mother tries to claim that the baby was by someone else. Op did help his sister, but she had to follow a few rules. She had to go to therapy, and Op give her boyfriend a job. He also paid for the DNA test. Mom ended up alone and sister moved in with Op.
#1 I am a custom stock maker with about 60 years' experience. When people see examples of my work the often ask me to make them a custom rifle. I tell them the base line cost is around $2500.USD. IF they supply the wood for the stock. That normally ends the conversation. On rare occasions I get the old "But we are friends." comment. To which I reply "Yes we are and really appreciate my friend's doing business with me. My enemies avoid even talking to me." Which usually ends the conversation. Note: High grade walnut stock blanks often run the Thousand-dollar price range. Making a custom stock from a blank requires over 100 hours of labor. Not to mention the two- or three-thousand-dollar barreled action. #2 One of my favorite pet peeves is the snow removal. I tell people that Mother Nature worked very hard at placing the snow on the ground. When SHE is tired of being there, SHE will either blow it elsewhere, or melt it. If SHE had not wanted that snow #3 If some old crone had cut my daughters hair, she would have required the services of a Proctologist to retrieve her scissors. The world really is populated with a lot of stupid people with a death wish.
Tip for other crafters in similar situations: when someone starts hinting about something they want me to make, I offer to teach them how to make whatever it is. Shuts em right up. If they genuinely do want to learn, I’d actually be happy to show them, but that’s not actually what most people want when they see/compliment my projects lol. I learned the hard way (like OP) that if you don’t actually hand someone a notarized letter saying that you’re not going to do their project, sometimes they just don’t hear you.
My reactions: Story #1: I'm a novice cosplayer, and while I considered doing commission work, this story kinda made me change my mind. I sew most of my costumes (Been sewing off and on for at least 10 years now), and trying to gain materials for your costume on a monthly budget is a bit of an understatement. My current costume (Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica) has costed me well over $200 CAD in materials (maybe upwards of $300) - and that's mostly because I have a membership at a Fabric shop I frequent - and it's taken me at least 100 hours at this point to sew it; I even made Homura's shield and am planning on resin casting for her soul gem. As several people noted, others tend to SERIOUSLY underestimate how much effort (and money) its takes to make something. EC had all the six weeks to at least learn how to stitch something together, but instead tried to force it on OP who made it clear she doesn't do work for others. A few morals here: OP: Don't be an extreme doormat to others; stand your ground, and walk away. EC: Don't make promises you can't keep / don't promise what you can't deliver. Story #2: As Darkfluff summed it up perfectly: A lack of planning on your part does not equal to an emergency on mine." OP isn't always going to be around to shovel his neighbor's driveway - what he goes on vacation out of town? How will the neighbors deal with a sudden blizzard - just wait until OP returns home, cancelling work shifts because he's away? Assuming other's kindness will extend to yours is just plain wrong. For all I know, these new neighbors might as well be complete strangers to OP. Story #3: I know OP was 13 here, but she could've called the police to report the two hags or at least told Mall Security about them. I've read in a school handbook that most teens will have a "Act First, think later" mindset, which I could give her actions a pass because of this. For those two entitled women, just because someone has red hair doesn't mean you have the right to touch (or, cut!) their hair. I also have red hair but most people I've seen have the common sense to keep their hands to themselves and only comment verbally. I've been harassed before, but then again some people grew up in a different time and don't realize the same 'compliment' doesn't work nowadays. Story #4: I've continued reading through this story, and it more has a happy end on OP's part. Sometime after this story, his sister has realized that EM had been manipulating and infantilizing her whole life, and reaches out to OP for help. It turned out, the father of the baby wasn't Sister's boyfriend - it was an unrelated hispanic male, whom EM lashed out on Sister (even using some colorful words). Once the paternity test came out, EM learned of the results and essentially disowned Sister. OP has allowed Sister to move in to his house, on a few conditions of course; and they've gotten a Restraining Order against EM. The TH-camr "Reddit Brew" has read the story before - in mostly its entirety, so It can be worth checking out.
Story 3: Yikes, and I thought only stalkers stole locks of Hair from others, is it too much to hope that Karen loses all of her hair in an accident as punishment?
Story 1: This is a tactic passive aggressive narcissists use to get what they want. They loudly proclaim how nice it would be for someone to do something for them but never ask directly expecting people to volunteer.
1st story : Yarn now a days cost about $ a bundle. Most small projects take at least two maybe 3 depending on the design. So on the cheap end each burp cloth coast $20 for material, for a grand total of $120 for all 6. So OP would be spending $100 out of pocket on the cheap end possible more if she needed more yarn.
when i eat food while watching your vids, it makes the food 10x tastier while hearing karens get karma. karens never learn nor will they. keep it up fulff!
I had very dark red hair as a child and little old ladies would just touch it whenever they wanted, bemoan that my parents allowed me to dye my hair at such a young age, or would assume I was adopted because my parents are both brunettes (the red came from grandma). When I was a teenager, a lady at the dentist just casually commented that some people would KILL for my hair color and my Dad told her "If you're one of those people, know that I am the type of person that has no problem killing a killer." I will never understand why older women are obsessed with red hair.
Story 1: why would OP feel bad for anyone in this saga? She doesn't even need to feel bad for herself. Answer was a "nice NO" and that's it. OP isn't a house slave, commanded to produce items someone else can take credit for, right? OP really needs to state, publicly, to work mate that "when I say no I mean no, end of story" and refuse to engage on that topic ever again. Can't blow up her phone if the number is blocked, either. Never take on what is not yours to carry.
Story 3: Honesty same. I have natural red hair, and it goes from strawberry blond to auburn color with the seasons. And I'm sad to say, I have been a victim of the scissors in public 😭 thankfully my mom took care of it afterward.
I had to deal with Handwork requests quite frequently. My standard answer was: you go to the hobby store and you pick out what you want and bring me the supplies. [The customer MUST WAIST THEIR TIME, AND THEY MUST PAY FOR THE SUPPLIES.] Next, I didn't negotiate money, I negotiated time and elbow grease. I would tell them an estimated number of hours that it would take me to complete their project, and they would be giving me that same number of hours working for me. Either house keeping, lawn work, house repairs, etc. When you force them to put a value on their own time, they back off really quickly.
The burp towel story made me so angry, handmade gifts are really time consuming and pricey, I crocheted a blanket for my mom (6ft by 6ft) and it took me about 55 hours. Doing the math at 10 dollars an hour and the 100 dollars in materials that would be 650 dollars.
My sister did needlepoint, and made a gorgeous design on the back of a jacket, taken from a record album, of a multicolored dragon. I saw the time and effort that went into that. Such a gift is priceless.
The fact that the mom and sister started fighting as soon as they couldn't target OP anymore shows people like that can only work with others if they have a common enemy. Take that enemy away they need someone else to target. But I read in a comment on here that there was updates and the Sister and OP reconnected and she's normal now so that's a plus
OMG the story about the redhead is crazy! I'm a natural blonde and people have accused me of dying it to get color - especially now that I'm "older" and don't have any gray. It really irritates my younger sisters as they both do.
Another thing to address in story 1 is that the lady wasn't just expecting free stuff from OP but was going to claim OP's work as her own if she did end up doing it.
The "Saga of Kraggle-Tom" is one of my favourites. The ending to it is so satisfying and a really good read over multiple posts. His mom is truly a psycho.
Third story: my wife has beautiful, natural red hair, she's worn it long and also short, and her hair has gorgeous highlights from the sun, just like the OP in this story, and you would be amazed at how many times she gets asked what kind of color she uses; however, if anyone ever approached her and tried forcefully removing any of her hair, let's say that the legendary fire of redheads would be unleashed, and the EP wouldn't have to worry about her next dye job!
If I had seen two adults assaulting and harassing a minor, I would have got between them and the kid and started acting crazy. I’m not a particularly big or tough person, but I can’t imagine two Karens wanting to stick around a person hissing, snarling, stomping, flailing their arms, and otherwise acting feral, rabid, or possessed. After they backed off, I’d immediately calm down, turn to the kid, get on their level, and gently ask if they’re with anyone or need something to drink or just whatever I can think of to let them know they’re safe.
@@luciferpetrenkoff5040 sorry to hear that! I have a lifelong kidney disease so I feel your pain, today has just been extra brutal though! Acute or chronic, sickness is never fun. Wishing you some better days ahead.
Story 4: Oh, if I had somebody come barging into my house telling me that it's theirs now, family or not, I will simply say that there are two ways of leaving my house: you can either walk out or be dragged out. WHAT'S YOUR PREFERENCE?!
Cutting someone's hair without their express approval is absolutely assault 100%. They could literally go to jail had they cut even a little bit and woe be unto them had they actually cut a large chunk.
Story 3: it's surprising how rarely people believe sun-dyed hair is a natural color. I'm a blonde-brunette mix with red that shows up in the sun. I used to swim race, so i had stripes of blonde and red on a brunette base. Looked really cool. Only one guy recognized it as swimmer hair rather than a salon job. Never had anyone try to cut it, though, probably too worried I'd wap them with the braid, like Fiona in Shrek.
Story 3: when I was younger I would grow my hair out every few years to donate it to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients. it grows really fast so in 2 years it grows from shoulder length to all the way down my back. One day some stranger came up to me and started stroking my hair and complimented its length. She said she would love to have extensions made from this and I said thanks and explained that I would be cutting it to donate soon. She gave me the name of her salon and told me I could donate it to them.
Yesss! Finally someone who understands! If they feel like they can lay hands on you, then the same applies to them. And it only takes once if you do it right; they'll never do it again when they get back up.
@@johnrussell5592 I've long said it in vids like this, lay hands on me and you're getting launched. Not only will I launch you 10 feet, but I will tap dance on your head until I know you're not getting back up, because in this day and age you never know if the person assaulting you for no reason is going to try and end you.
The last story is missing an update. The sister got her act together and actually became more normal when she distanced herself from mommy dearest. I forget exactly what happened to the mom, but I think she ended up broke and living in a trailer in some random desert town. But I am sure about the sister because I remember being surprised about her.
Mommy Dearest finally left town after she wore out her welcome with everyone. If I recall correctly, she has a phobia of garden gnomes. Guess what turned up, mysteriously, on her lawn?
If someone came up to me and started touching my hair without my permission, I'd be throwing hands. Not like punching, but more of a flailing "what the fuck do you think you're doing" sort of thing, like when you walk into a spider web. Until the scissors came out, then I really would start throwing punches.
Story 4 came from U/Kragle-Tom. He posted many stories and updates on both the mother and sister. Speaking of the sister, she saw the light and is on OP's side now
someone once offered me 15 dollars for a baby blanket (crochet) I laughed so hard, pulled up the yarn they were eyeing in my collection on the site i bought it from.. 45 dollars per cake, so...90 for one blanket worth.. and its not machine washable... I use machine washable yarn when i do make baby blankets even then its at least 30 dollars and several hours out of my life.
Story 2: why is it that in these kinds of situations the spouse just tells op they should’ve sucked it up and done the work? Like huh? Maybe the wife should stand up and take over since she clearly sees waking up early on the weekend to do other people’s driveways for free as no inconvenience
I don't usually comment but story #1 really got to me. I used embroider as a teenager back in the 70's. I lived by a racetrack and the jockeys hired me to put their names onthe back for $50 a pair and more elaborate decorations for $100 to $150 a pair. It was a lot of work. This was premachine days. I had to draw patterns of decks of cards, roses and other special requests and sew every detail by hand. That woman was outragious!
How did the new neighbors come to the conclusion that OP would be doing the snow clearance and mowing when OP had recommended they get their own implements in the first place?
Growing up I had really long thick hair. I experienced several times where strangers reached out to touch my hair without my permission. Creeped me out each time and I would slap their hands away. Where do people get off thinking they can touch another person (including their hair, clothes or anything else connected to their bodies) without permission?
I offered to knit a wool baby blanket for a colleage for free, since I had spare wool that I wasn’t going to use anyway. She took me out to dinner to a fancy restaurant to thank me. That’s how you do that. And she didn’t ask, but I offered to do it when she said she couldn’t find one they way she would have wanted one for a price she could afford.
Story 2: yeah unless the neighbor is an elderly person then it’s not your responsibility for doing their driveway. The new neighbor was perfectly capable of cleaning his own driveway.
Even if he was it's not their responsibility. You do it out of the kindness of your heart, if you decide to do it, not because it would be an obligation ...
@@WaddickLawnCare I think she just didn't want bad relations with the neighbors and was too submissive. I don't think she actually thought the neighbors had a point. I'm with OP though: I would lend them a shovel, but if they act entitled like that, I'd shut my door in their faces and disable the bell...
@@brag0001 most door bells you can’t stop without going outside to unplug it from electricity so you defending your idiot wife then offering a non solution is fabulous! You are what every human should be or already is (a retard)
@@WaddickLawnCare ok, so I'm a retard because you are too moronic to disable a door bell without going outside. Well, I for one would just flip the switch. Granted: most people aren't smart enough to install one. But I would also know where to disconnect the buzzer in my fuse box. And, of course, I could just open the bell and disconnect wires there. So obviously it's me being the retard for knowing how things work, whereas you knowing jack shit about things is the way to go 🤣 I won't even get started about you being a moron for confusing me with the OP in that story, and my wife with his wife. I don't want to get you confused even more ... 🤪
OP and entitled coworker who wants her to make a gift for her DIL: OP, take that voicemail & any other evidence of your coworker's harassment to HR now. Also, you might want to ask some random coworkers to write a little blurb saying that you have NEVER made anything for them, either, for free or on commission.
The talented woman that does sewing etc... I would be tearing a few strips out of the entitled woman at work that expected her to just do what she wanted for her daughter in law
Story 1: As an embroideress, I feel OPs pain. I design and make cross stitch items for myself and close friends, and they take *ages.* One person created a huge fuss because I refused to make a sampler for her wedding. The hilarious thing is that the marriage lasted less time than it would have taken me to finish the sampler.
Regarding story 2. Years ago I lived two doors down from a family whose dad was an immigrant, I think from somewhere in West Africa. One day I saw him out in his yard talking to another neighbor, Mike, while both were standing over a lawnmower. Later that week I was talking to Mike and asked about it. The man had never taken care of a yard as he came from a desert region. But now that he was in the US, he really wanted to keep up his property. He bought a lawnmower but had no idea how to use it. Mike taught him how. I would see the man later with his mower and he did a great job on the yard. I'm sure the idiots in story 2 have had exposure to outdoor equipment. That they can't be bothered to get their own is the height of laziness and entitlement.
In story 1, you didn't mention the WORST part: Not only was the entitled woman way underestimating the time and effort necessary as well as undervaluing it; but she also was trying to take the credit for herself. She promised her daughter burp clothes (which she never made/intended to make).
Story 1- I hate people who think that people who knit/crochet are willing to make things for people without being asked nicely. I remember when I was knitting a sweater for my nephew, and someone asked me if I would make one for them. With it being a baby sweater, I said I would only do it for $25 (I was in a generous mood that day as my husband's birthday was coming up, and he's a simple man who enjoys pizza and a movie at home every year). They then got mad at me because "they could get someone else to make it for $15." I hope they enjoyed that $15 baby sweater that the other person made. Knitting is tedious enough, and $15 for $6 material and several hours/days of work isn't worth it.
As a redhead, I had my a lock of my hair cut by someone in elementary school during a movie while the room was darkened. Also had people assume it is dye when in a ponytail because the chunk of hair above my neck is strawberry blonde while the rest is deep shades of auburn to black strands.
The last story has a few more updates. Hopefully you find them and post those as well since it's such a good story and ending I don't see me getting tired of hearing it.
Update on the last story: the mother, after many incidents, ended up moving away to another state, while the sister, who's grown up and matured, married her Hispanic boyfriend (turns out, the mother was racist and hated the boyfriend, which led to the two having fallout) and intends to never tell her son about her mother.
Ya'll realize that the OP in story #4 is Kragle. The Kragle whose mom would punish him for not listening to her by giving the sister money, putting a lock on his door to stop his sister and mom from stealing his hard earned money. His father would always side with Kragle because he knew how Evil Mama Bear and sister were. Sister finally came around after EMB wanted her to dump her Hispanic boyfriend and abort her baby.
Story 1: I have a friend from HS that while we were attending she would always make these neon hair pieces that looked like cyberpunk. Like she would make them long and big. At lunch some girl asked if she could make her one (as my friend was currently making another one at the table) and demanded it be done by the end of the school day. Now not only is the materials kind of expensive but even if she worked on it constantly it would take a few days. My friend just looked at her and laughed. She made them as a hobby and if anyone wanted to buy one she charged $40 and told them she would work on them as she saw fit. No rush and no exceptions. This girl got upset and tried to take the one that was not finished instead. Me and my other male friend stood up and told her to walk away. She then told a nearby teacher and told her that we assaulted her when she asked "so politely for our friend to make her one." Long story short she was outed a liar and a week later that same teacher had the hairpiece my friend was making at the time for *free* .
The snowblowing one made me laugh. My son shovels our walk and drive. When he's done, he heads north and does the neighbours to the corner (2 houses) and then south (1 house) and stops. He said "Next door north are older. South is a single mom. Guy next to her is a 30ish year old guy who lives with his mother and doesn't work, so he can shovel her walk." Well, after a huge snow storm, he went out and did his usual work. Just as he finished, the guy pulls up with his gym bag in hand and comes stomping over and proceeds to yell at me for my son being "so rude and unneighbourly!" and that he should have shoveled his walkway, as well because he "can barely park on the street!" Yup. He was expecting not only the walkway and driveway shoveled, but his parking spot on the street. He was livid with me when I simply pointed at the shovel and said "You're welcome to use it" and closed the door. Next time it snowed, he did the same thing. Third time was about 2 days before Christmas and I went over with a brand new shovel and had tied a huge red bow on the handle and wished him a Merry Christmas. Needless to say, his mother found it hilarious. Not so much him!
Story 3 Is exactly why you carry Pepper Spray, because those two ABSOLUTELY needed a dose of the sauce. though, getting away is the better solution.. Legally speaking anyway.
As a natural redhead with long hair, I can confirm there are a ton of crazy women that feel entitled to touch my hair and accuse me of lying about it being natural. Weird people lol
I've had an old coworker ask me to crochet a full costume for her grandson in August. I too don't do commissions because I it would take the fun out of my hobby, so I got the impression that this coworker thought I'd do it for free (outside of the cost of supplies). I turned her down because, 1. I've never done clothing before, especially a full body suit, 2. I didn't have the time as I was in grad school at the time and 3. it was only two months before Halloween and it would take me a lot longer to attempt something like that. I get more enjoyment out of giving the stuffed toys I make away, but once there's a sense of pressure in finishing something, it just doesn't seem as fun.
A lady one time tried haggling with me on handmade jewelry I made (which took hours and money for materials), and got mad when I wouldn't accept 25 cents for the jewelry. I was trying to sell the jewelry I made at a yard sale, but had made sure to emphasize "handmade", and I tried explaining to her why I wouldn't accept 25 cents for it, and she was so stuck on me trying to sell them at a "yard sale" that her logic was super flawed. she seriously could not understand the cost and time to make said handmade jewelry
I’m laughing at the first story because I’ve been listening to these stories while crocheting. I’m currently working on a sunflower granny square sweater. And my friends say I should start a shop but I’m a little nervous too
Story 2: why the hell would the wife tell her husband to just suck it up and shovel for them? If she thinks that way, SHE should go do it instead of OP. No one is obligated to receive help
1. Story: As i do lots of things myself i really appreciate art/craftwork! If you know how much effort, patience and money goes into it, you know why it's so "expensive"! But it's not expensive at all, it's worth every single penny! I've tried to replicate some American Native stuff, because living in Germany you can't get your hands on real works from them! Now i am in total awe about the things i see in museums or the internet!
Story 3 : Why do people feel so entitled to other people's hair ? I mean, this is really crazy but I'm not even that surprised. I also have very long and thick hair and (fortunately) no one wanted to cut a lock out of it - except a creepy guy who thought that could be a good joke to tell me that he would come into my room at night to cut it... Anyway, I often braid my hair and so have this long and thick braid hanging in my back and I ALWAYS have people that I barely know grab it and touch it ! It's just hair, goddamn !
Last one has an update! The mom tried to convince her son in law her daughter was cheating on him and when she proved it false the mother got mad and threw her away(with a racist rant i might add). Op was nice and gave his bil a job where he works and his sister seems to be trying to solve her own issues being infantilized by her mother her whole life
For the last story there are multiple updates that are even crazier, and the OP also gives stories from his childhood that at insane. Fluff, please find the whole saga, it's bunkers
I like how the mom in Story 4. Said that OP would go to hell after she flagrantly, and blatantly shattered the First Commandment in Christianity by declaring herself god.
the last story has some MAJOR updates! the mom has been emotionally controlling and infantilizing the daughter her whole life and eventually she asks her brother for help, and they get her away from the crazy mom and the daughter becomes a normal person with a good relationship with her brother!

And they don't even know what they think just a pair of socks it takes hours to make
Plea deals shouldn't be possible in such cases.
That's just wrong she only got three damn years

@@gwendolynross1674 Missing the point?
Yeah, they should be doing it themselves.
Anyone with a functional braincell can tell they should be doing it themselves.
So, assuming OP's wife has at least the same brainpower as a lima bean; why did the wife say her husband should've done it for them?
The point isn't that they should have done their own yard work.
The point is: What is OP's wife's major malfunction that she somehow *agrees* with the sapient pond scum they call neighbors?
The two women expecting the girl to submit to them cutting her hair that was just plain creepy AND a physical attack on her person for that matter.
Yep, should have called the cops to report Assault with a weapon.
Especially since they just walked up to her and started touching her hair, that’s super weird.
Story 2: Maybe when the new neighbors bought the house from Mr. B's children, they asked what yard service maintained the property. The sellers innocently replied that there was no service, and that OP just did it to help out. The new neighbors, in all their entitlement, believed OP's generosity would extend to them.

Second story: NTA. That kind of people is the kind that you offer an inch of your seat and they kick you out with both legs and then spit on you.
I've always found it both funny and depressing just how many parents think that their kids owe them for giving birth to and raising them. Like, whose decision do you think that was?
"I don't owe you for taking responsibility for *YOUR* actions."
You don't just take hair, it doesn't work like that
Very much is assault

Yes, the mom/sister story is a whole saga. Flufff needs to read the entire thing, because it gets worse, then gets better.
Narcissists always think they have something over you, especially if they did previously, like a parent over a child. It’s like they think time stands still and you’re always in a position of weakness to them, even if decades have gone by. They expect to dominate the child that was, rather than face the adult that is.
Last story: a lot more of that story. Mother is dubbed EMB for Evil Mother Bear and she loses her mini me daughter and everything else by the end.
And.... How does evil Entitled Mother and Sis expect to pay property taxes and services with little or no income, IF Op had given them HIS house? 🤨
The audacity of those idiots.

Story 2: Why on earth would you expect your neighbor to plow or mow your property, especially after you were told to get a mower and plow.
It's called the combination of being lazy and a cheapskate
She had no idea of the time involved, then, acted normally once she learned the facts.
20:53 that last story...
THAT MOTHER IS INSANE.
If SHE had not wanted that snow
#3 If some old crone had cut my daughters hair, she would have required the services of a Proctologist to retrieve her scissors.
My reactions:
Story #1: I'm a novice cosplayer, and while I considered doing commission work, this story kinda made me change my mind.
A few morals here:
OP: Don't be an extreme doormat to others; stand your ground, and walk away.

I think the people who wanted their snow plowed were told by the kids who sold the house told the buyers that op would do that.

Also OP needs to start recording the harassment and file it with HR.

If I was OP in the last story, I would told them "sorry, but I'm looking for three words? Oh right, OH HELL NO"
Third story: my wife has beautiful, natural red hair, she's worn it long and also short, and her hair has gorgeous highlights from the sun, just like the OP in this story, and you would be amazed at how many times she gets asked what kind of color she uses; however, if anyone ever approached her and tried forcefully removing any of her hair, let's say that the legendary fire of redheads would be unleashed, and the EP wouldn't have to worry about her next dye job!
I would have called 911 first and reported an armed assault on a minor, put my phone in my pocket without hanging up and then interposed myself.

Never had anyone try to cut it, though, probably too worried I'd wap them with the braid, like Fiona in Shrek.
On the story about the creepy two old women trying to cut the girl's hair, you should have called security and add them charged with assault.
I damn near cheered out loud when OP backhanded mom.
Yes, classic! And immediate karma. 😎
@@patmccoy8758 ohhhhhhhh yeah!!! I remember now....hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My head still shakes whenever I hear the last story. I'm just glad the sister DOES grow up in the end.
I am enjoying my daily dose of Dark Fluff stories
If someone came up to me and started touching my hair without my permission, I'd be throwing hands. Not like punching, but more of a flailing "what the fuck do you think you're doing" sort of thing, like when you walk into a spider web. Until the scissors came out, then I really would start throwing punches.
Story 4 came from U/Kragle-Tom. He posted many stories and updates on both the mother and sister. Speaking of the sister, she saw the light and is on OP's side now
Yep, "Evil Momma Bear" is infamous on these YT channels.
someone once offered me 15 dollars for a baby blanket (crochet) I laughed so hard, pulled up the yarn they were eyeing in my collection on the site i bought it from..
Divorce the c**t
If someone snaps their fingers at me, I'm snapping right back in their face
I can't snap. But I'd tell her, "Do that again, you will never be able to do it again." 🤨
@@brag0001 maybe the wife can do it since she seems to think the new neighbours aren’t in the wrong
So obviously it's me being the retard for knowing how things work, whereas you knowing jack shit about things is the way to go 🤣
I won't even get started about you being a moron for confusing me with the OP in that story, and my wife with his wife. I don't want to get you confused even more ... 🤪
Never give a Karen, Social media. So many of your stories show this.
OP and entitled coworker who wants her to make a gift for her DIL:
OP, take that voicemail & any other evidence of your coworker's harassment to HR now.
Also, you might want to ask some random coworkers to write a little blurb saying that you have NEVER made anything for them, either, for free or on commission.
The talented woman that does sewing etc... I would be tearing a few strips out of the entitled woman at work that expected her to just do what she wanted for her daughter in law
Thank god for Reddit and Fluffy. I wouldn't get through my workday without these stories.
The entitled mother and sister were really pieces of work. They really didn’t deserve the house and it went to the right person.
Your story wasn’t needed or relevant!
They then got mad at me because "they could get someone else to make it for $15."
I hope they enjoyed that $15 baby sweater that the other person made.
"Because we're family." It's what they all say.
LMAO at first Karen. Bet she was red faced at that shower!! 🤣🤣
#2 Definitely NOT the a-hole!
The last story has a few more updates. Hopefully you find them and post those as well since it's such a good story and ending I don't see me getting tired of hearing it.
Story 3: If I had been that girl's friend I would have been hauled off to jail for attacking both those women.
Update on the last story: the mother, after many incidents, ended up moving away to another state, while the sister, who's grown up and matured, married her Hispanic boyfriend (turns out, the mother was racist and hated the boyfriend, which led to the two having fallout) and intends to never tell her son about her mother.
story 3: wtf why didn't they call the cops?! the lady literally garbed her by the hair and went at her with scissors
I'm so glad OP gave his wretched mother the backhand that his father should've given her 🥃
Ya'll realize that the OP in story #4 is Kragle.
She then told a nearby teacher and told her that we assaulted her when she asked "so politely for our friend to make her one."
Long story short she was outed a liar and a week later that same teacher had the hairpiece my friend was making at the time for *free* .
Story 4 has a 2nd part that is crazier than the last one, where racism is the star of the show
Hey Fluffy,
The last story has a ton of updates and other stories about the mom and sister. I recommend checking them out.
@@luciferpetrenkoff5040 It definitely could.
Perfect! This is the first time I get to listen to the new episode as soon a it came out! 🎉 you're awesome darkfluff.
Sadly being nice to people can be taken for granted 😕 I have learned it the hard way
Story 3 : Why do people feel so entitled to other people's hair ? I mean, this is really crazy but I'm not even that surprised. I also have very long and thick hair and (fortunately) no one wanted to cut a lock out of it - except a creepy guy who thought that could be a good joke to tell me that he would come into my room at night to cut it... Anyway, I often braid my hair and so have this long and thick braid hanging in my back and I ALWAYS have people that I barely know grab it and touch it ! It's just hair, goddamn !
I have heard the Entitled Mom/house story before. It’s one of my favorites!
Yeah the saga of KragleTom is legendary!
