    The silver lining to the last story is that despite having a crazy mom, the son is still at least a decent kid. Its good to know that crazy parents aren't guaranteed to make crazy kids.

    • @starrywizdom
      @starrywizdom ปีที่แล้ว +20

      I'm giving the unseen-in-the-story dad a lot of the credit for that decent son. I'm also hoping that dad is separated from the mom & that he gets full custody of both kids with only supervised visits from mom once she gets out of jail for assaulting & trying to steal from a disabled person. When it's a case of a rotten parent & a good parent having kids together, I'm on the side of the good parent getting to raise the kids, no matter if the good parent is man, woman, non-binary, or genderfluid! That's what's best for the kids AND what's best for society!

      Inversely, sometimes good parents wind up with crazy kids. "Bad eggs", we used to call them. Sometimes the apple falls miles away from the tree.
      I hope Dad is the "good parent", and gets full custody.

    My mom was like the dad in the first story but she did it in front of my brother who was in uniform but took her to the store on his lunch break, she told him even though he was an officer everyone knows it's illegal for a woman's child to arrest them. At check out he asked her if she was sure of what she was doing and she smugly smiled at him as soon as both feet were out of the store he pulled out his handcuffs and started giving her the Miranda rights, she slapped him across the face, so it went from just shoplifting to shoplifting and assaulting an officer. It was awesome seeing her tell the judge that yes he was an officer but he was her child first and all she was doing was disciplining him, the judged laughed. Later he called to tell me she said she wouldn't ever talk to him again and I sadly had to remind him she never keeps her word.

    • @meh2510
      @meh2510 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      Judge had good reason to laugh, because her son was the one that was disciplining her for inappropriate behavior. Her actions were in no way discipline, it was pure lashing out in a self entitled tantrum. It must have been embarrassing for your brother to have to arrest her though, so pass along my kudos for honoring his duty.👮‍♂👏

      @iononcanto He said it was pretty much like that. She screamed at him that she should have aborted him the entire time, when his backup arrived she screamed at them, all through booking, because she was acting crazy they put her in a nice little cell all by herself where they could easily keep an eye on her and she spent the entire time screaming at the wall until she lost her voice. She only got thirty days but when she got out she called all of her "ungrateful" kids and left screaming messages asking why we didn't visit her.

    It's Karen and she's boasting her cop husband vs the mute lady's mom on the phone... which turned out to be a District Attorney that has connection to the chief of police and the whole police department.
    Lots of squad cars were deployed to the restaurant....

    Story 2: My buddy has a more lighthearted version of this. He’s really good at the Deal or No deal, which he attributes to a lot of practice at a similar minigame from Super Mario DS.
    He won like, 10 times in a row, before the attendant commented on it and said I bet you have to lose at least once.
    Buddy was like, nah, and so indeed, he proceeded to keep winning.
    Until he got bored and some random kid gave it a go, and missed the high case. Buddy came back to win a few more rounds, but the attendant saw the one loss in his log and assumed it was buddy, and he was again like, nah.

    Story 2: Not an entitled person story but it reminds me of a time I was at the arcade. I got the timing down on those ball drop machines so I could hit the jackpot every time. I saw a kid on the one next to me and he looked kinda sad watching me hit a bunch of jackpots in a row and he couldn't get one so I asked "Do you want me to hit the jackpot for you?" Kid perked up and said "Yes please!" So I hit it for him a few times, he said thank you and went off to go see what he could get with his tickets. Was just a good time and I got to do something nice for someone

    1) This father is a POS for his bad attitude and thievery. It makes me happy that his entitled behaviour got just consequences.
    2) Yup, that's entitled and no wonder why the kid is the way he is with that mother. It's good OP's dad came his rescue, and that the manager took the appropriate action.
    3) OMG some people are just too much ... all bad. It's unfortunate OP ran into someone like that. Good for OP for defending his property against these A**holes.
    After update: LOL, how stupid to think filing this suit would bring anything to them Good for OP for counter suing, and taking all necessary precautions.
    After next update: I am glad OP had a good attorney that will give them what they deserve in the form of lawsuits and liens.
    4) Good for OP for pressing charges, and it would be nice if there is jail time, also CPS to get involved and help that kid.

    #1 Entitled stealing father just got some so sweet karma served to him. Serve him right. He absolutely needed to get pud back down to his place.
    #2 OP said to that kid that he need to try again to get better at the game. And Karen, twisted that around to pretend that OP said the EXACT opposite of what he said... OP and his father didn't ruin Karen's day. She did it all be herself like any self respecting Karen seems to love doing. The nice part is that Karen gave just the right bit of justification to ban her from the place.
    #3 Those WILL get in jail... All three of them. And someone may just loose the keys.
    #4 Karen is entitled, and her daughter is her exact copy. The son is a quite nice fellow. I feel very bad for him. As for Karen Senior and Karen Junior... They can rot in jail for the rest of their miserable lives.

  • @merlinathrawes746

    Theft story: OP, your father is a nincompoop! He's literally DARING a police officer to ignore a theft, an action that if discovered would get the officer in serious trouble and likely cause him to lose his job. I'm glad he put a stop to that nonsense!
    Antique truck story: What a bunch of entitled maroons!!! I'd be willing to bet that they wouldn't even know how to drive a truck like that. I'm willing to bet that not only does that truck have a manual transmission, but that it's a three-on-the-tree. And if you don't know what that is, good luck driving it. It's also old enough to have a manual choke. Again, if you don't know what that is, good luck driving it. But I wouldn't be bothering with rock salt rounds, I prefer double-ought buckshot in 12-gauge loads. You can always be generous and aim at their legs. OP, once you know their sentences, please let us know.
    Laptop story: Thank you OP, for pressing charges. It's literally the only way of stopping people like this. Hopefully, your statement combined with the store's video will cause a CPS investigation to be started as well. I that woman has no problem hitting her kid in public, who knows what she's doing at home in private.

      Yeah but allot of the people telling these tales either live outside the US OR a ton of businesses are just blatantly breaking the law by recording sound with their security cameras OR cops in many stories are really good at reading lips OR the encounters really only happened in the OP's fantasy world where real life encounters go down as they would in a 90's television show.

    4th story: Karens always want to steal other people's property
    Lie to cops about owning other's property

Theres plenty of deaf patients/ customers, and those that are hard of hearing that forget hearing aids. Instead of sounding like you are yelling at them, or trying to find some way to communicate by pointing or writing things down, it would be easier if it was jist taught to communicate

    There is a recurring theme to these stories that I wish someone could explain for us. What in the world does anyone hope to accomplish by claiming to the authorities that "OP stole my truck (car, computer, house, phone, gaming or any other security protected device, etc.) so make them give it back now!" when the ownership and/or registration of these objects takes seconds, maybe a minute or two at worst, to verify? I mean, that behavior can't possibly do anything BUT backfire on them, or am I missing something here like a world where they could actually be successful with that strategy?
    (not counting the instances where the Karen or whoever actually believes they were the object owner more clearly due to being under the influence of controlled substances and/or mental illness)

    I own a 65 VW Beetle that's almost all original that I got as a gift from my dad for hard work for him with his company for years. We're both old VW enthusiast. If anyone is within a certain distant from looking at it without me around or my permission you bet your sweet ass I'm going to tell them to back off. People love to steal these cars like this all the time. I actually changed the original door handles and deck lid handles with locked ones to make sure I can prevent it from being stolen. I also lock my doors and keep the window up.
    Had 1 guy offer $10k for it but it wasn't for sail. He said he give the $10k of I drop it off at his house right now. Which is more fishy because I wouldn't go to some random strangers house because they offered me a bunch of money like that for my Bug.
