When you restrict someone's freedom of movement to a single building/area & prevent them from contacting certain people, that is called false imprisonment. Its considered a type of kidnapping. @Jacob-he3sn 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FoxxyFire-HellFrost Fluff was hardly making excuses for that Karen, he was just acknowledging that the OP shouldn’t have handled the Karen’s son like that. I can also very easily see that event being the moment that made her rage peak to the point that she actually decided to call the cops, whereas before she would likely be upset but not call the cops. Getting offended is what makes Karens get so mad, and OP picking up her kid to get him off the slide would absolutely offend her and make her want to bring up the issue again.

    Dark Fluff, in the last story she did not call the cops because he was removing her son from a possibly dangerous situation on the slide, she called to have him arrested for "kidnapping" his own daughter. If the call was about her own son, he more than likely have been arrested for it as you don't touch another's child in a non-emergency situation.

    Story 3 - OP should pick up outdoor security cameras. If she's willing to let her kid attack OP for no reason, there's a good chance she'll try and get revenge for getting her kicked out, probably petty vandalism but better safe than sorry with an entitled person like her.

      @HuskerGram 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      His daughter was just about to go down the slide when the kid ran up it. So, if he was trying to protect his daughter, he had every right to pick him up off the slide. (The kid may not have hurt her, but he seemed to be entitled, so who knows how far up the slide he'd have gone? And who knows if he'd have stepped on the little girl or not. It didn't say how old the boy was. But the little girl was only 4. )

      @zachcrawford5 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@HuskerGram There is no evidence he would have hit O.P's daughter and climbing a slide is really common behavior on playgrounds (like every kid does it from time to time). O.P. had no right to touch him, , O.P. could have let the kids try to resolve it themselves. Usually if a kid is being a tool on a slide for too long, the kid at the top will just ram into them (with gusto) and they quickly learn that standing in the way on a slide isn't such a great idea). O.P. could have asked the mother to move the kid (though I'm almost certain the mother wouldn't have cooperated lol) or they could have just left. When I was little and a kid blocked the slide and being a tool about it the adult who was with us would usually say "just go, if they don't want to move that's their problem, they'll move next time". Of course this only applied if the kid was old enough to know better.

      @@HuskerGram That's what I was thinking too, when it was commented that OP shouldn't have picked up the boy, that he was in the right to do so as it was in defense of his daughter. The second story reminds me of my own encounter. I had a high risk pregnancy as well and even though my son was full term he had been born very small due to his body not getting what it needed in the womb. Also at 2 days old he developed meningitis and was refusing feeds and was then put on tube feeding. So 2 weeks later after he was released from intensive care I took him to the supermarket. In the car park an older woman approached me with a smile, I assume to admire the baby. She said an abrupt hello to me and lent into the stroller. All of her sudden her smile froze and she said in baby talk still leaning in to my baby "you are very small, mummy needs to feed you doesn't she". My son upon having a strange lady leaning over him starts to cry. She says, "Yes darling, I know your hungry". She then stood up and glared at me. "I think you should take your son home and feed him". All I could mumble was he was born small. I then made a beeline for the supermarket. Luckily she didn't stop me, but she did follow me around briefly until I was able to loose her. From that point on I made an effort to have my husband with me.

I’d had to return to work, but she was extremely well taken care of by my Mom. Every Wednesday morning, my Mom would take her & my 3 year old to a ‘Parent and toddler session’ at the church hall. Now my baby’s 1st birthday was on a Wednesday, so I took leave from work, to spend the day with both of my children. I’d never been to this group before, but we went in & I settled down on the floor with my two daughters and some toys. I’d got the baby sitting on my lap and my 3 year old was playing with other children & then coming back to me. For a while, everything was fine and then I heard, someone shouting ‘what do you think you’re doing!!!’ As I was happily playing with my daughters, I didn’t think it referred to me!!! Suddenly, someone grabbed my arm & pulled me round!!! This woman’s face appeared & she said ‘give her to me!! You’re holding her all wrong!!’ With that, she tried to grab my baby!! I said ‘leave her alone!’ She shouted ‘a baby that age, shouldn’t be sat up, you’ll damage her spine!’ I said ‘for your information, she’s one, so plenty old enough, to be sat up!’ The Karen looked at me and started to laugh, saying ‘don’t be so ridiculous, if she’s 6 weeks, it’s all she is, people like you, shouldn’t have children, if you don’t know how to look after them!’ I started to collect our things together, as I didn’t want her birthday ruined. As I stood up, Karen snapped ‘watch her head, don’t you know anything?!’ Right on cue, the door from the kitchen opened and the organisers came out, carrying a birthday cake with one candle and start singing ‘happy birthday’ to my daughter!!!! The Karen’s face was an absolute picture, her mouth kept opening and closing & no sound was coming out, as she turned a strange colour!! As we were eating cake, she once more came over and said ‘you should have told me, that your baby had medical problems!!!’ I slowly turned & said ‘my baby’s health has absolutely nothing to do with you!!! Now please go away and leave us alone!!!’ She scuttled off & we had a wonderful day!!!

    To be fair, there are plenty of parents out there who think that simply being the mother of the child magically makes them know all about how to take care of a child, when in reality, they have no idea. My sister-in-law is a perfect example of this. She's convinced herself she's a great mother, and knows better then others, including my mom who has five kids, three of which are grown adults and the last two are teenagers, where she only has one and she's only 2 and half at this point.
    The problem is, everytime she does make a few mistakes, which she does because she don't know what she's doing, and others try and help her out, for the child's sake, she gets's super annoyed because she's supposed to know better, being a recent mother where others have adult kids and have more experience. SHe even accuses other of saying she's a bad mom, when no one has actually said that, and it's simply her own insecurity.

I've seen so many stories about disabled people, infants, and interracial couples being Karen's favorite targets, and my family is the trifecta. Between hearing things like this and "they can't be your child because you're white/not white," I've literally begged my husband to carry a copy of his birth certificate on him at all times. Nope.
    The boy running up the slide was posing a safety hazard for both him and his daughter.
    It is perfectly fine to grab a child out of this situation and set it on the ground.
    To the contrary, not doing so and something happens to that child is making you partially responsible when something happens in this situation. In this case if the boy slipped, fell face first onto the slide and broke his nose/chipped some teeth OP would be in part responsible because he did not prevent an obvious accident. Hell a strong wind from the side could have led to the boy falling sideways off the slide and breaking his neck.
    Little boys *always* think they are stronger and/or more stable than they actually are. Little girls "only" are a majority, but not all of them.
    He did violate the "Don't go against Karens demands!" code, but legally he was totally in the right by even doing a commendable action.

      @rjgaynor8 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bcaye um the law and precedent would disagree with you completely. If someone attempts to kidnap your child and you defend your child you will get off of all charges. The only caveat being that your actions cannot be malicious. Meaning you cannot cause harm to the abductor beyond what is necessary to protect your child (which is an incredible gray area). And in a case where a mother or father is defending their child the court will generally rule in favor of the parent. These cases are incredibly rare to actually go to court with the abductor suing as the abductor would have to acknowledge they did indeed touch the child. It’s also considered one of the last fully standing temporary insanity pleas. This is why you never touch someone else’s child without the parent’s permission. The courts will never hear you out unless the child was in immediate danger. The child could be loud obnoxious and hitting other kids and you still cannot touch that child. Entitled parents that know this use it to their advantage.

    It may be because I am the daughter of a mother bear, and although I am not a mother, I have the same mother bear instincts towards my little cousins, (there is almost 20 years of difference between the cousin who is next in age to my sister and me) and the mothers in those stories, that the mother automatically does not protest, she roars, screams, defends her baby... the mother in the second story recovers her voice and what happens when the matter was resolved, if the girl had not spoken they would have taken her away. to her baby and her still trying to know what's going on there?
    not an immediate retort of: no, that's my baby, a stranger had time to intervene, the little girl spoke... my god, and in fact, Darkfluff is right, that is a very common modus operandi; They create a scandal and in the middle of it they take the baby away while the crowd detains the mother, believing her to be the kidnapper... I would have filed a complaint, and let her endure the consequences, better for her than the mother and the baby.
    In other cases the only proof they have are random photographs on the phone, something that with basic knowledge and a good program can be falsified. My mother carried with her for years in her purse a certified copy of our birth certificates when she went out with us, even when park
    Personally, in a situation like this, or any other, they ask me if I want to press charges, I say yes.
    Behavior that has no consequences tends to be repeated.
    I have lived my life surrounded by entitled people, Karens and Kevins, and the only thing that dissuaded them from continuing with their attacks was repeating themselves to be respected.
    , is knowing that I will not be passive, that I will always take the appropriate actions without fear of what they will say.
    that I never attack, but I am not the one who takes the high road, I am one of those who kills the snake by the head, and that although I never start fights, I finish them

The guy was trying to keep his daughter safe, and the kid in all honesty. His mother would have been screaming louder if the girl went down the slide with him on it and knocked him off. She was a monster, needed to take her kid and leave, or teach him manners (of course, that's expecting too much since she didn't have manners either.) I'm sad for her son, he's going to have a hard life with a mom who teaches him to be just as entitled as she seems to think she is.
