Thanks for posting this. My "Service Stabilitrak" message (2008 TBSS) just started coming on intermittently (it will go days without showing up, but then comes on again). It's only got 75k miles, so it's possible it's the steering wheel position sensor.
Very nice, my TBSS's stabilitrak comes on with just hitting the gas with the wheels turned, and recently getting the ABS shutter at low braking speed. Was thinking it was just the wheel speed sensors and the steering wheel sensor. So I guess I'll have to see. Gave you a subscribe ;-)
@@Therey1898 I ended up just replacing both hubs. My wheel speed sensors had a weird 5 sided Allen bolt head, that I couldn’t find a bit for, so I did the hubs and my issue is resolved now. I did a video of it over on my channel.
Thank you for this. I have the Envoy Denali. Just changed the steering sensor. Stabilitrak light went off for a whole 15 min. Then back on again (son of a bitch). My cruise control also stopped working once the stabilitrak light first came on. I don’t have any acceleration or braking issues. No ABS light. I’m getting a CO455 and a CO161 code. Do you think my issue is the hubs? If I change them and that light stays on I might just drive it off a cliff.
Love the video. I just scribed to your channel. I just started having the same issue with the stabilitrak. Have a question. Do you know the part number or the name of the original struts or shocks for the front? It would be greatly appreciated
I have the same issue. Stabilitrak light comes on, vehicle goes into limp mode and will not accelerate until the light goes off. The only way around it is to push on the Stabilitrak button at the shifter to put traction control off, then it will bypass that issue. No ABS light on and no codes. I plan on changing the hubs out and will let you know how it goes. Thanks for this video, it is definitely one of the best on here.
@@cputt1985 In my case it was rust that was built on to the old hub and actually raised the position of the wheel speed sensor which was just enough to throw "the fault" briefly on the dash then immediately go away. Chevrolet actually has a TSB for this not on the Trailblazer SS but on one of their pickup trucks. Old school guy at the dealership remembered that and it fixed it. It's a challenging one to figure out especially since the fault does not tell you which wheel or location is having the problem.
@@thierrypalmer3132 dude!!!!! That’s what I’m saying I was getting aggravated. This one needs brakes and rotors so I just bought all new to put on. After already replacing $165 steering angle sensor 🤣🤣🤣fml. Thanks for the response man!!!! Life saver
your video is too long for me bro, couldnt watch it i live in the country so yea really tall pines all around my house,so signal sucks,i just bought a 06 black rwd ss its pretty clean, its nice,so the front driver side ,the lower control arm bushing was fried it was bad,so i replaced it and the wheel hub and end link, got it aligned and even unhooked the neg side of the battery for a while but it still says this, the other side is good ,steering is fine,so your saying in the spoiler alert its the hubs,i dont have a owners manual so i dont know what half the buttons inside are for.i hate the curb back up assist i heard you can push a button to turn that off and i hate the seats move back when you turn off the key but anyways, any advice on the service stabiltrack light still being on,thanks man.

I replaced my hubs but my light is still on how did y’all reset the light
@@montygarcia92 mine went away with the replacement. 🤷♂️
Question i just replaced the wheel hubs on my tbss stability light is on so I have to reset it after replacement?
Could be the steering angle sensor

Mine doesn't have the stock stuff up front.
Do you have trouble accelerating or do you lose power when doing so?
The stabilitrack light would go on randomly, but the only time that it interfered was under braking. The abs would activate when you didn't expect it.

You can change that seat thing in the settings on the dash.
Change the other hub. As long as you don't have an ABS light on or any other codes that should fix it
Just unplug your abs fuse… you’re welcome lol
I kinda like abs, though.
And lights will go away ???
