Your content must be solid and the information reliable, to grow a men's fashion channel so quickly without using clickbait nonsense. Great job.
Just got myself a pair. I was hesitant at first but they are growing on me very fast and I really love them now....i used to wear single strap monks and oxfords and loafers
Glad to hear you have expanded your shoe collection to include derbies. When it came to my leather dress shoes I did not start with oxfords but with derbies and bluchers. My first is an AE black plain toe derby with leather soles. I needed s shoe I could wear it with a business suit but also wear it with casual clothing. The second is an AE cigar colored split toe blucher with leather soles. The third is an Ace Marks diablo ink colored Nico wholecut brogue oxfords. The broughing it has is directly on the wholecut.
Love the split toe… most underrated shoe in men’s wear arsenal today. Looks great dressed up or down and the style of toe & apron can say a hell of a lot about a man’s style and taste. I am going to check out Sons of Henry on your recommendation… great video!!
2K and collaborating already!? Wow, it seems like it's only been a couple of months. When I first found the channel, I knew immediately that it was going to be one of my fav. The channel is one of the few that connects its audience with modern brands doing classic menswear well (while still keeping quality and bang for $ in mind). Congratulations. Thank you and keep up the great work.👍
Gotta admit. After the "my guys contacted their guys" line from the Carmina unboxing, when you mentioned that you were collaborating with Sons of Henry I was like "wait for it, wait for it, he's gonna say that he is lying his ass off". Never came haha! Congrats on your first of many collabs and 2000 subs! I remember mentioning to you that I wanted to get that burgundy split toe from Carmina. Happy to see you got one! Great video my friend 👌
A wholecut is probably the dressier style of shoe because they’re so plain. I’m not a huge fan of them personally plus they crease too much for my liking but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with them.
Great video, Vlad. Love watching your videos from here in the UK. Only problem is some of the brands you talk about don’t ship to Blighty. I have a pair of split toe Derby’s from Joseph Cheaney in black calf and i love them. I was like you, a bit unsure, but am now converted! Definitely looking for a brown pair, and these SofH in the grain leather look wonderful. Really glad to see the channel taking off in recent weeks, you doing good work mate.
Great video! Love a split toe derby. Carmina and Edward Green sold me on the style. These look incredible especially in that pebble grain. Are they comfortable or really hard wearing at first?
Hey Andrew! Haven’t worn them out for a long period just yet but they were extremely comfortable right out the box. Impressive as I didn’t know what to expect.
Hey Vlad! I was waiting until Fall to order these. Just did so! Great review & thanks for the discount code. I’m not going to watch your Yeosal GMTO video again as I may be tempted to get one of those as well😊
Hey Vladimir. I'm a new sub to your channel.. amazing content. You've put me on to several brands I'd never have heard of otherwise. Your style is effortless and exactly the kind of wardrobe i'm trying to build. Cheers!
Vladimir: Sons of Henrey markets mainly to Asian people (or at least guys with smaller feet). Biggest size they carry is 10,5 UK / 11 US and that only in 3 models. The rest of their line are even smaller. Just check if you don't believe me.
I hear you, man! Not to speak for Tom but SoH is still a pretty small company so they have to stock the more popular sizes would be my guest. But as the brand expends, I’m sure you’ll see bigger sizes in their inventory. Thanks for watching, Hector!
We don't necessarily market to the Asian market, our largest market is still the United States. Our most sold size is 8.5UK, and we stock from size 6.5 UK to 10 UK. Larger sizes are available through our group-order program, or for pre-orders that are not in production yet.
Real lovely acquisition. I picked up a pair of Allen Edmonds' Crosby Street Split-toe Bluchers earlier this years as an easy grab casual Friday shoe. That pebble grain look on those up the casual shoe a tad-bit better than the AE Crosby.
Very nice shoes. Love the box they came in. You figure since the shoes came with a polishing cloth, they should have included a can of polish as well. Like the bags that the shoes came in. Nice laces.
Hi, can you update on SOH George split toe after use. I am waiting to know if I can pull the trigger and buy them. I want to know the quality of leather.
Waiting for my sienna hatch grain SoH to arrive in January. Horween’s take on Russian reindeer. If you’re thinking about that next split toe derby, that’s the one, IMO :) great video, and you have me even more excited about my order
What’s up, Benjamin? I heard about that leather, the original Russian Reindeer is something else with a great backstory to boot. Those shoes are gonna be awesome. I can’t wait to see them.
@@v_r_ she might be onto something, lol. I actually thought about starting a TH-cam channel but I like so many different things. Maybe I can still do one and call it "the renaissance man"
Thanks for this video. Before you mentioned your price estimate, I thought of the same, looking at my AE as reference. When you consider the prices without VAT, they get even more unbelievable.
Beautiful shoes !I purchased a pair of derby's a few years back from Carmina ...I love those shoes! I'm interested to see your sport coat and tie selections for them! 👌❤
I lucked out and found someone selling them new on Ebay for $425 ! I think they're the" forest " last I'm a $300 or so range guy but glad I pulled the trigger! Dark brown suede, but I like the ones you have much better! 👌
@@v_r_ I found them new on Ebay for $425 ! I think it's the forest last. I usually stay around $300 or so range, but I'm glad I got them. I really like the texture on those shoes you have, and the soles are perfect for rain and snow!👌💪
My jury’s still out on split toed Derby’s but boy oh boy you cannot fault the quality, construction and looks of those shoes. Very impressed with the shoe bio that comes with the shoes and nice touch. They definitely lend themselves to smart casual wear and you know I love Dainite soles. Hmmm I think their growing on me. Well done with your first collaboration I’m sure more will follow. Till next time have a great weekend. Kind regards mate👍👞👞👞👞
Hey Adam, I’m glad to see that you’re coming around just a little bit LOL. A year ago, I couldn’t imagine liking them as much as I do now. SoH knocked it out the park with this one. Cheers!
@@johnw9177 Unfortunately that's true, we don't carry 13 UK. Truth be told, we get more request for smaller sizes (UK 5 / UK 6), and our most sold size is 8.5UK. We do offer larger sizes on our group-order program, as well as with pre-orders.
What up, John? Larger sizes are available through group order program and pre-orders that aren’t yet in production. Please follow SoH on IG for updates on group orders and pre-orders. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Gracias hermano. Enjoyed the video and love the shoes. I recently bought a walnut colored split toe derby from Alden shoes. They fit and feel like a slipper. Highly recommend them. Adios brother. Keep the vids coming.

Hello Vladimir, why don't you like the derby? While I love oxfords too I think the derby has its place in the wardrobe. I'd appreciate your perspective.
Hey Keith, I think it may have something to do with the fact that my wardrobe consists of mostly suits as opposed to trousers and sportcoats and I hate when I used to see guys in suits and derbies. But I’ve since fallen in love with the split toe derby and I’m looking forward to adding more to my wardrobe. They actually make me want to dress casually more often just so I could have an excuse to wear them.
Can you do a video on higher end shoe companies that offer shoes like the Cole Haan grand os. I've been looking for some versatile and comfy dress shoes like those, but higher quality
Hey Josh, unfortunately IDK of any reputable shoe brands that makes Goodyear welted shoes that offer anything like the Grand Os. I’ll let you know if I come across one.
Hey Gerry, SoH make really nice shoes. I’m TH-cam’s best kept secret LOL but it’s probably because I don’t post enough videos. I plan to be more consistent in 2020.
Not really! There are some American shoemakers that make bespoke shoes that I like such as Francis Waplinger out of Brooklyn. I’ve heard good things about Alden but they’re more of a casual brand to me as I don’t love their dressier shoes. Any brand you recommend?
Hey JR, I don’t own an AE pair unfortunately. But I take a 7 UK in all my shoes except for Vass where I take a 40.5 and the SoH shoes fit me perfectly right out the box. From my experience and from what I’ve heard from others, I’d say they’re true to size. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@@v_r_ Thank you for the quick feedback. I went to their website and left a message. SOH nst by far is the most handsome shoe that I've seen and kudos to your channel for letting us see it.
I’m an E width, I will make a video soon on fit cause it’s one of those things I’ve been paying a lot more attention to lately. They’re probably my most comfortable shoes.
That’s a good question as I’m always skeptical of casual shoes in Black leather like a monkstrap for example. I’m like which one is it? But the fact that the leather is Ostrich, I think this would work perfectly as a casual shoe.
I never liked the look of the split-toe derby but this video has piqued my interest for sure. Love the pebble grain leather on boots and it's something different to see it on a pair of shoes.
Same here, Brett! I wouldn’t even give them the time of day until about a year ago. But even then, I bought a couple Oxfords since cause I still wasn’t sure. But I’m glad I took the plunge albeit a little late.
STD’s!!!! 😂 😂 😂 Great collab and unboxing! I’m part of y’all same group as I’ve always passed on Split Toe Derbys, but I must say that this particular offering (color particularly) really caught my eye...might have to reconsider after all...especially with your 50% of code! (Lol) “Know what I mean”....
Hey don't throw out the shoes laces man I got pair brown dress shoes that they will work well with nah just kidding but on the real man first of all great video appreciate the information and details on a truly fabulous pair of shoes I immediately went to Sons of Henrey website check out their selection and I'm looking to purchase the mink of suede oxford shoes those bad boys are dynamite again thanks for the video great news on your growing number subscribers!
Hey Frank, I can probably open a store with how many pairs of round laces I have laying around. The first thing I do is switch the laces to flat if the shoes case with round laces. Thanks for your kind words. The Mink Suede Oxfords are truly something else. I see that he only has 4 pairs left though. Hopefully they’ll make a comeback.
OMG Bruh! That's a beautiful shoe! I've been wanting a split toe for sometime and I prefer a Dainite sole. I've owned several pairs in the past, but never with a Dainite sole. "Grey Flannel and Tweed!" No denim. 👍🏾✌🏾️
Vladimir, exactly what color is the suit you’re wearing in this video? I’m gravitating toward the color combos you sport. In the future, perhaps you could consider giving a quick verbal rundown of the styles and colors you wear in the videos, huh? Just a thought. Keep doing what you do...I’m not a hater! 👏🏾
What’s up, bro? This suit is a mix between Light Grey and Medium Grey. It’s a flannel fabric from VBC. And yes good idea, I will incorporate what I’m wearing more in the future.
Nice video Vlad, day please tell me where I can find decent suiting for a good price ?. I looked at Spier and MacKay but their Napolitan cut is not available for on the rack only made to measure and I will only buy M2M if Iam measured in a store because Iam not comfy doing that myself. Now Iam looking for something not too expensive but have the important hallmarks of a decent suit like pleated and full cut high wasted trousers so somthing like Spier and MacKay. Iam based in Austria so if you know any brands in Central Europe let me know.
Hey Tatenda, S&M does have a few suits available off the rack in the Neapolitan, you just have to scroll down. They also have a few jackets that have matching high rise trousers and pleats in Neapolitan also. Price is very subjective, so without knowing the exact budget, it’s hard to say. And I know what you mean with measuring yourself, it’s not easy and fail more often than it succeeds.
Vladimir Riché Thanks for the snappy reply, if you don’t mind please hit me up with your contact details. My email address is phiritatenda@gmail.com you can drop me mail, Iam guessing you have WhatsApp?.
Vladimir Riché thanks 🙏🏾 I always enjoyed all your videos and I hope you’ll hit me up when you come to Nigeria, I am a person that loves shoes and suits, that’s what got me here. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬❤️👞 you’ve made me to learn for about shoes.
Hey Vladimir, I’ve recently gotten a pair of STDs from Yanko . Pause. (🤪) They’re suede dark brown (patine.shoes/994.html). I hope to cop the SOH STDs featured on this video. I understand what you said about STDs leaning towards smart casual however, off the visuals of the shoes I copped from yanko could I pair them with a charcoal grey pinstripe, light grey flannel, navy or light brown suits? Just wanted your take on in fam? Stay safe brother 🙏🏾
Those derbies look like a loafer with laces on them, giving it that sleek design. I'm not a fan of the split toe which is probably the selling point of the shoe but they just remind me of camel toes too much it makes me feel like one if I were to wear one
Hey Levi, I haven’t heard that comparison before but that’s funny. I had to warm up to them too but I love them now. SoH have some other styles that are nice as well, check them out.

Thanks could you please talk about the width are you a d or e and do they fit well ?
I’m an E width, I will make a video soon on fit cause it’s one of those things I’ve been paying a lot more attention to lately. They’re probably my most comfortable shoes.
Vladimir Riché thank you also I think your videos are great
i saw a pair of split toe derby shoes in a black ostrich would that still be a casual shoe?
That’s a good question as I’m always skeptical of casual shoes in Black leather like a monkstrap for example. I’m like which one is it? But the fact that the leather is Ostrich, I think this would work perfectly as a casual shoe.
the shoe is a lace up spl;it toe derby, in black ostrich made by Mezlan, so it can't be worn with a suit?
A casual suit would work, like tweed or flannel for example.
That's a beautiful pair of shoes! I have a pair of Slit Toe Durbey from Allen Edmonds.
Sons Of Henrey did a hell of a job on those.
@@v_r_ - I think I just might give them a try. Do the fit true to size?
True to size and comfortable out the box.
What make of jacket are you wearing?
Hey Andris, the jacket is part of a custom suit from Kent Wang. I don’t work with them anymore but they fit me well.
Waiting for mine to arrive. I used the VLAD code.
Perfect! I wore mine today for the first time and they were extremely comfortable from jump.
Nice shoes brov. Prefer leather sole though. Me got split toe derby in D monk from Ferragamo burgundy. Ur tie and suit are lovely Vladio
What up, Vasu? I prefer leather sole as well as this is my first pair without them. But I feel like the Dainite soles work really well with this pair.
What USA size do you usually wear and what size did you go with Sons of Henry?
I don’t really have any shoes that are sized in US but my UK size is 7 with Sons of Henrey. That would translate to a 8 US.
Blowing up, dawg.
What up, Amos! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
STD’s!!!! 😂 😂 😂
Great collab and unboxing! I’m part of y’all same group as I’ve always passed on Split Toe Derbys, but I must say that this particular offering (color particularly) really caught my eye...might have to reconsider after all...especially with your 50% of code! (Lol) “Know what I mean”....
Do it, bro! You won’t regret it, knowwhatimsayin? 😂😂
Wow I have the exactly same shoes from EG cost me $1300. Great leather
The EG is a better shoe without a doubt but maybe not a $1,000 better. I agree, I really love this leather. Thanks for watching!
I'm sold Vladimir. I'm buying a pair in suede.
Haha...I’ll be doing the same eventually. Love them!
OMG Bruh! That's a beautiful shoe! I've been wanting a split toe for sometime and I prefer a Dainite sole. I've owned several pairs in the past, but never with a Dainite sole. "Grey Flannel and Tweed!" No denim. 👍🏾✌🏾️
Absolutely beautiful, fam! And yes I agree, they’re perfect with Tweed and Flannel.
Wow, when i first saw those i thought grey flannel also
That was my first thought also.
Great Read!! 👍🏾therake.com/stories/brunello-cucinelli-the-prophet-of-solomeo/?cta=editorial
The_Outfitter here reporting for duty! Man dem yafa give my yoot props. Felisitasyon!
My guy, what up? 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Lookin sharp sir!
I love the Matrix-like music.
Got my interest with this brand so had a look on their website, I think a pair of Ambly Chukka Boots are calling me!
What’s up, John? The Chukka are really nice, that Kudu leather is 🔥🔥
Very nice shoe at an incredible price.
Facts, bro!
What's up my bro Val. Great unboxing I love these shoes and I will be checking out this brand. 2000 on your way to 100,000 k . Great job peace
I hope so, bro! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Miss you Vladimir. Phil.
Watching from Africa Nigeria 🇳🇬
What up, Paul? I’d love to visit Nigeria one day soon. I have a few friends from there and I’ve heard great things. Thanks for watching!
No doubt, fam! I’ll definitely let you know.
....lol I won't be bragging that I have an STD
Exactly 😂😂
Hey Vladimir,
I’ve recently gotten a pair of STDs from Yanko . Pause. (🤪)
They’re suede dark brown (patine.shoes/994.html).
What's up, bro? You can definitely wear a SpTD with a suit assuming that it's a casual suit like flannel etc.
Try them on next time so your views can see how they look on video.
Got you, will do!
SoH have some other styles that are nice as well, check them out.
levi nouah camel toes!!! 😂
Need
:)
VLADIMIR IS THERE ANY AMERICAN MADE BRAND SHOES YOU LIKE?
