Definitely no need to have 50 to 100 pairs as your knowledge and advise far outweighs the number. Your sincerity and transparency speaks volumes and garners much respect.
I value your input on shoes: I've been trying to get a quality shoe collection together for a couple of years. As I don't have a substantial wallet, I've got most of my shoes on Ebay; I choose carefully and resole and work on the finish and polish if necessary. have a shoes by makers such as of Crockett and Jones, Tricker's and Church's. I now, because of your channel, have 2 pairs of Meermin ( black cap toe Oxford and a suede brogued oxford in mid brown). You're nailing this shoe thing for me; and yes, I like that you bring in not-so-well-known shoe makers (Son's of Henrey). Regards Tony
Thanks, Tony! I understand that not everyone can or want to spend $500 to $1,000 on shoes and the good news is you don’t have to anymore. That’s why I love highlighting these lesser known brands in the $200 to $500 price bracket. I’m glad that the channel is helping and I’m grateful for your continuing support.
1. The Enzos...straight bananas! Adelaide, color, nice subtle square toe..just beautiful 2. The Carlos Santos..patina, nice 3. The brown Vass..love the last, even through my phone. Truth is, ALL are good looking. Great collection, very good taste. 👍🏾 Yeah, you’re killin’ them with those Enzos. Be easy on them, my friend..be easy

Dude like u style O.G Jeff and Kevin Samuels are helping restore pride in the black man's appearance. You are and Angel for this channel to BROTHAS. Amen
Hi Vladimir the split toe Derby’s look exceptional value and very well made , I think I may give them a try ,great commentary and down-to earth style .
I give you full credit for introducing me to the SoH George Split Toe Derby, I had to get myself a pair after watching your video unboxing of those shoes. Received them last week, and they are gorgeous. Thanks for your time making these great videos. May your shoe collection grow evermore!
I like the last pair of shoes. Burgundy is one of my favorite colors with navy blue suits. It gives a traditional color a pop of style. Also, I liked the captoe on this shoe the most. I wear size 14 & a narrow toe helps to make my feet look smaller. Another great video.
Thanks for watching, Ira! Enzo Bonafè is such a great shoemaker. If I had to only pick one reasonably brand to wear for the rest of my life, it would probably be them.
Great video, man! It really does go to show that you don’t need quantity, rather quality. I happen to have 40-50 shoes/boots but that’s more a reflection of the amazing deals that I’ve found on eBay and Poshmark over necessity.
What’s up, Kenny? I agree, a small curated collection to me is better than a large collection that you don’t really love. I have to add a coupe boots to it though. We’ll see how that goes. Thanks for watching.
like the adelaide brogues and the enzo bonafe. if you like adelaide brogues then check out herring shoes, they have a 3 shoes, one called henry 2 one called edward 2 and one called philip 2, all are adelaides but one is wingtip oxford , one is toe cap oxford and one is a wingtip monk strap. they also have a few more under their wildsmith selection and they are cheaper. also like the colour and patina of the museum calf and the carlos santos shoes you got
I love the black suede shoes, just got my first pair of Cobbler Union, also 5 pairs of Allen Edmonds Strand Weave in Walnut, Strand in Chili, St. John's Double Monk Strap in Coffee, McAllister Wingtip in Oxblood, and Neumok Wingtip in Denim Suede my collection.
@Vladamir Riche Appreciate your videos and turning us onto quality brands... just left The Madison Ave Barney’s location during their current close out sale. Picked up a pair of Carmina Medium Brown Suede Tassel loafers for SEVENTY PERCENT OFF.... Scooped em for $161 out the door sheesh what a deal.
I admire shoes and I don’t have many shoes and I pray to buy more. I just admire your work you’re doing , keep doing the good work. You make me know a lot of different about shoes. 🥊🥊🥊
Not gonna lie man, I just finished watching a video on TH-cam and smiled when I saw you posted something new. Keep up the awesome work sir, your content is awesome and you freaking crack me up with your humor.
I'm going to be honest, you're the only content creator that talks extensively about shoe last which I think is great! That's one of the things that I like about your channel is that I'm constantly learning something new! So far my favorite pair of shoe in all hour videos is those dark brown Yanko shoes in the Top 10 shoes under $300. Man, I need those in my life! I prefer single monks over double monks which I haven't seen you talk about. I owned a pair of single monks as a 6 year old kid 😆
Another one!! Great video my brother, I really like your collection. As someone just starting out in classic menswear I thought you needed a collection like Kirby Allison but I realize you only need a few good quality shoes black, light brown, dark brown and oxblood.
What’s good, Ivory? That was another reason why I didn’t want to make this video. Even though I don’t have that many, it’s still overwhelming to some. 3 to 4 good quality shoes can take you a long way.
I love your shoe collection & don't worry you will get to 50 pairs sooner than you think! My favourite in your collection is the last one - red/burgundy pair!!
@@v_r_ It's all good. It is a lot of shoes!!! But you love shoes :) Yeah I really like the split toe Derby's as well. If I were to place a bet I would bet that you had some idea as to you next pair of shoes you would like and that's why you will reach a bigger collection sooner :):) I have a collection that is way to big for my needs and recently have been into boots :):):)
great collection Vlad, the suede monks are my number 1 pick due to me being a fan of loafers. Followed by the split toe derby's, black suede cap toes and the son of henry adelaides.
Yes congrats on 4k plus, Yes you are known for talkin with your hands. You forgot to say INTRO as you just hit that classic intro. In anycase What is the benefit/difference of wearing a Dainite vs Rubber vs leather soles? In your video I like the black half brogue, I also have an black oxford toecap. Mon freur it was you who actually got me into brown shoes lol & now I look to get allshadees of brown. Your brown shoe collection is a sight for sore eyes. 1st time seein a black suede dress shoes lol very unique
What’s up, Jarod? Besides my split toe derby, all my shoes have leather soles. The advantages of rubber would be that they last longer than leather and they also have more grip. Personally, I don’t like the look of rubber soles on my dress shoes. I know no one can see it but I know it’s there and I don’t like it LOL.
A very nice and fairly diverse collection, I like them! That said,, you don't have a pair of loafers... Bro, you are missing out! My shoe game (and therefore, entire style) got flipped on its head when I got my first pair of loafers! I've got some brown suede horsebit ones by Alan McAfee, some brown calf tassels by Alan Edmunds, cordovan tassels by Church's and black tassels by Alden; but my favorite loafers are by Santoni, especially their Fatte a Mano line, which is superb. I've got both black and brown Pennies, some brown tassels in a moccasin-style (which have become my slippers/house-shoes), and a pair of full strap loafers with a really nice patinas. I find their leather to be very soft and supple, construction and materials to be extraordinary and their overall aesthetic to be superlative. Give loafers a shot, as they just may blow your mind!
What’s up, Ben? I think it has something to do that I never loved the loafers with suits look and I’m mostly in suits. I do have a suede tassel loafer in mind but I can say with almost 100% certainty that I would never see myself in penny loafers LOL.
@@v_r_ I don't disagree... loafers with full suit are at best difficult to pull off... At worst, they look terrible and inappropriate. But with a slimmer fitting suit, hemmed to no break, during the summer months can look pretty damn good! I typically prefer them with chinos it jeans. Hell yeah, do it! Suede tassels are very, very stylish and cool; one variation I unfortunately don't yet own. I do have a very sleek pair of suede horsebits that I love. I'm sure though that once you have tried any style of loafer, you'll have the bug too!
Very healthy collection. Everything is there, nothing screams "look at me". You are a man of taste my friend. My favorite out of the bunch? Hard to decide. I think the Joe Works dark brown. Match made in heaven would be the Joe Works but in the adelaide burgundy!
My fav are the last burgundy joints. The just look the dopest. Mind you ion know all the fancy technical stuff about shoes ahahahah but they just look dope plus I do know they can go with almost and type suit. Bless
The Carmina Brown Suede Double Monk Straps and Sons of Henry Split Toe Derby's are some extremely tough shoes... I look forward to adding those 2 pairs but first a pair of Cap Toe Black Oxfords that I've been putting off. This has been an interesting journey for me. I've sold over 15 pairs of sneakers in my transition to the sartorial lifestyle. Great Content as always man.
What's up my bro Val. nice shoe collection my friend. I am partial to the suede double monk strap shoes. Look forward to seeing your suit collection next.. Great video peace
Brother thanks for sharing..............however you do not have a variety, it feels like I am looking at the same shoe over and over again. Toe cap seems to be your favorite shoe. I am not hating on you but you are missing out on other styles,,,,,,,,,,,,,God bless
What’s up, Kurt? You’re right, I definitely do have a type. But this video is about 8 months old. You have some catching up to do. Thanks for watching!
Well done with the video. I've been catching up on your videos and really enjoyed this one. On a practical level, I think it's a bit silly to have 50+ pairs of shoes. With that many shoes, you'd be wearing one pair of shoes 8 times a year. But there is nothing wrong with being a collector either. There are far more expensive hobbies out there. I have about 7 pairs of dress shoes with half of them being very inexpensive walking-type of shoes from Clarks & Rockport. I easily see myself doubling that number and probably triple. But probably not beyond that. With that number of quality shoes, they'll probably last me for the rest of my life...
The last 4 pairs particularly the Vasche(excuse spelling) brown and the one you got for your birthday. Your wife makes you look good, lol. Where do you source your shoe trees, in SA we don't have such quality ones.
What’s up, Justin? I’m lucky, bro. My wife is the one. LOL. My shoe trees are from a few different places, some are lasted and came with the shoes. The others are mostly Quality Shop and J. Fitzpatrick
I'm getting a bit bored with similar vaguely almond shaped shoes (though mine are probably at the very bottom of the Goodyear Welted price range compared to yours). To this end I liked the split toed Derbys as they were a bit different, though the colour on those old English was amazing too. You are a classy guy and I wouldn't think of telling you what to do but am interested why have the beaded bracelet on the same hand as your watch (I'd be tempted to put it on the other hand)? Love that brown pocket square
Nice collection my brother. Love the split toe derby’s and the dark brown pair (wifey has great taste)! Not sure why but never been a huge fan of “burgundy” (oxblood) color shoes. All good though! Hey, nice shoe trees too, especially the ones with the, I’m assuming, monogrammed plates! 👍🏽
Thanks, fam! The SpTD’s are one of my favorite shoes now. And yes, my wife definitely got it right with those shoes. Thanks for watching and commenting.
My feeling is that my collection with 12 shoes is a great size, I especially separated between summer and winter shoes, winter more suede and rubber soles, summer more leather soles and lighter colors
Great video. Stay true and keep rising to the top. I noticed you did not present a white pair of shoes, are you planning on going to an all white event? I need a white pair of shoes. I understand the pandemic, however, on my cruises I like wearing all white.
I love cap toes, bro. I guess I have a type LOL. I used to have an Austerity Brogue from Vass but it didn’t fit well, so I sold it but I have another one from a different maker on the way. I don’t like loafers and wholecuts but I do want some boots for next Fall. What other fun shoes did you have in mind?
@@v_r_ I'm going to Go waaaay out on a limb and suggest this here WINGTIP 😬😲, for you Bro!.. Dont turn and run just yet!.. It has 1. suede, 2. BROWNs, 3. Heavily Brogued, 4. QUALITY!.. If you're anything above mid-management in corporate America or civilian government; you're going to have multiple black shoes. Stakeholders and board meetings happen back to back to back and you can't wear the same shoes two days in a row.
Great collection! Since you love burgundy and recently digging the split toe bluchers, may I suggest the TLB Mallorca, Owen in burgundy. Advanced apologies to the wife haha
Awesome collection Vlad.Im so envious🤢 Ok so i loved the Carmina Double Monks The Dark Brown CapToe from Joe Works and the Medium Brown from Vass.Im surprised to see you dont own any loafers, how come?Every single pair except one is a laceup, any reason you avoid mocassins in particular?I need to invest in a pair of black captoe oxfords, that pair by Cheaney is now sold out in my size.Sadly,I took a little to long to make up my mind.Thank you so much for sharing your collection, very inspiring.Look forward to more informative videos.Peace!
What’s up, Hameed? I’ve never been a fan of loafers but I may get one in the Spring from Sons Of Henrey. I’m also thinking of a pair boots for next Fall.✌🏾
What are your thoughts are Christian Louboutin shoes? Are they worth the price? They have a pair of men’s cap toe Oxford that I like but I’ve never owned a pair and I’m unsure if the brand is good or over priced junk.
What’s up, Michael? I refrained from making that video for the longest time just for that reason. But it was the most requested, so I bit the bullet LOL
What’s up, Jiannan? Wingtips used to be my favorite shoes but now my collection consists mainly of Oxfords as Wingtips and Longwings are more casual. Nothing wrong with them though.
Great collection man! Surprised that you don’t have any loafers though... personally I love the convenience of being able to slip them right on. You’ve really gotten me hooked on some of these brands, I recently bought 2 pairs from Cobbler Union! One thing I was wondering... what do you feel about the shoes of more “fashion” brands like Ferragamo and Prada?
What’s up, Eli? I’m not a big fan of loafers but I’m looking to get my first one in the Spring possibly from Sons Of Henrey. As far as those fashion brands, I feel like you’re paying more for the name as opposed to the quality.
@@v_r_ Not sure if it was this vid or the sons of henrey suede adelaide unboxing, initially liked the carmina suede, but that sons of henrey is hitting right now. Now that I go looking at Sons, they dont have it any more...lol.
Vlad, first and foremost, Great content! And I love your take on shoes as I am a huge shoe fan myself. I used to work for Allen Edmonds growing up after all. I know that you tend to be on the dressy side, and I am certainly with you on that side. However, I was a bit to surprised to find out that your collection doesn't include any kind of double monk straps or Chelsea. I think we all can agree that they can be the most versatile pair of shoes a man can own especially after having the solid foundation such as the black oxfords, brogue or the semi-brogue. What are your thoughts?
What’s up, Schneider? Your kind words mean a lot. My collection is not complete, I’m missing at least one pair of loafers, preferably a pair of dark suede tassel loafers. I also need to add a pair of dress boots and maybe a Galway style boot. As far as a Chelsea, I have no interest in that style as I don’t like them for me but there’s nothing wrong with them. I also need to add at least one other pair of split toe derby and I’m working on that now. I definitely have a pair of double monks, actually it was my first shoe unboxing on the channel and my second video ever. I also have a video of my whole collection prior to this year. Check it out 👉🏾 th-cam.com/video/sL07BfDFhRI/w-d-xo.html
Any updates with your Shoe collection vlad? Question please, how many pairs (range) can be said Reasonable/practical ? The time i became interested in shoes, seems im liking almost all styles (quality GYW shoes), like insatiable greed😂, wanting all. But now i to retained 6 pairs of GYW shoes (no plan of buying anymore) which i evaluated to be used in different occasions. I think i will enjoy them more if ill keep the numbers to minimum I appreciate your words when you say 50-100 pairs are too many. What your mindset in having self control in buying shoes? You seem to be well disciplined in your purchases
For me my faves of your collection are the Joe Works and the Enzo Bonafe... looks gorgeous, but also look like they need some love from you, looks like fresh out of the box like if you never wear them! If that is the case they were made for that man !! why purchase high end shoes if I am not going to use them and enjoy them 🧐
Hey Vladimir, keep up the good work, I'm fairly new in this sartorial world, I have a question, can you make a video on brands such as gucci and louboutin for instance to enlighten us, on every video I watch about the best handcrafted/handmade shoes, no one is mentioning Gucci or CL, why?
Can you please help me with the name of the 1st three shoes. I really like it and I'll like to check it out but I didn't get the name right. I heard "Male men" but that didn't shoe any good results when I tried looking it up.
Hi Diana, nothing wrong with wholecuts but I’m not a big fan personally. I feel like they crease way too much across the vamp compared to a cap toe or a wingtip since it’s one piece of leather in an area where the shoe flexes the most.
That’s a great question and frankly, I’m not sure. Personally, I’m really in no rush to get one as I don’t quite see the advantages for the upcharge that it comes with. At this point, I think I’d rather get more regular leather shoes but we’ll see what the future holds. What’s your opinion on Cordovan? You think they’re worth it?
Myself also new to shell. Shell recently gains lots of my interest because it doesn't wrinkle and looks pretty brand new after many years of services. But as you say it's cost a lot more, so I am just doing more research on what others experiences with shell. Right now I can't answer weather it's worth or not, but I do expect my shell to last 20+ years with good care.
Definitely no need to have 50 to 100 pairs as your knowledge and advise far outweighs the number. Your sincerity and transparency speaks volumes and garners much respect.

Hope you have a fine art collection to compliment your shoe collection. Art, by the way, goes up in value…
Nice collection! I particularly like the Vass [Brown Old English II] and Bonafe.
What’s up, Koji? Two of the best hand-welted shoemakers under $1,000.
Them black suede ones are crazy.
Thanks Yahya, the Black suedes have been getting a lot of love in the comments.
Very healthy collection. Everything is there, nothing screams "look at me". You are a man of taste my friend.
My favorite out of the bunch? Hard to decide. I think the Joe Works dark brown.
Match made in heaven would be the Joe Works but in the adelaide burgundy!
What’s up, Mehdi? Joe Works make some nice Adelaides too. Very well refined.
You should try boots, i suggest u the cnj coniston/harlech, fanstastic and versatile
What’s up, Christopher? Which BCTO do you have in mind?
Vladimir Riché Tbh I was just going to keep it simple with some Allen Edmonds Park Avenue’s
Classic shoes
@@v_r_ I greatly appreciate your feedback and engagement with your followers, I think that is pretty dope.
I’m here to help, bro.
Your wife has great taste too. Those dark brown punch cap toe shoes were gorgeous.
She knows her husband well LOL. Thanks, fam!
I like the sons of Henry medium brown ones. They look rich.
I agree, Debbie! Those are nice.
What's up my bro Val. nice shoe collection my friend. I am partial to the suede double monk strap shoes. Look forward to seeing your suit collection next.. Great video peace
What’s up, Glen? Thank you and I’ll make one of those as well.
Thats pure class my brother
Thank you, Joseph!
Fine collection of shoes. You have very good taste in footwear.
You're too kind, Melvin. Thank you!
Can you discuss your shoe care routine and products you recommend
What up, Mark? Most definitely, I’ll be making a video on that soon.
I love your passion 😎 for shoes!
Thanks, Roland! I do love me some nice shoes.
@@v_r_ I 'm waiting for my first order of Meermin (dark brown suede unlined loafers) to be delivered this week. Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
My favorite would have to be the Carlos Santos Brown Cap-toe Oxfords. But being a Portuguese, I'm a suspect.
I see you repping the Home team, Édi LOL. Shoutout to Portugal!
Thanks, Jon! The PS is from Drake’s. As far as the bracelet, there’s really no rhyme or reason behind it TBH.
Great looking suit.
I love a great shoe collection
I do too and it's growing.
12 shoes is more than enough IMO.
Dear Mr. Riché;
What is your opinion on wholecuts?
Than you.
At 5:45 is the cap toe stitching coming off on the black shoes to the right?
Correct! It was one of my Meermin shoes that I used to beat up a lot at work. I never got it fixed as I haven’t worn it since. Good eye!
@@v_r_ Thanks much for your reply. I asked because I just purchased what I think might be an identical pair 😂😂... Meermin 101534?
Great video. Stay true and keep rising to the top. I noticed you did not present a white pair of shoes, are you planning on going to an all white event? I need a white pair of shoes. I understand the pandemic, however, on my cruises I like wearing all white.
What’s up, Clarence? I haven’t given a white pair of shoes any thoughts. Let me see if I can come up with something for next Spring/Summer
Great show! Cap toe EVERYTHING... When you gonna get a Fun Shoe Bro!.. cap is for work/business!.. Tell ya wife I said Let A Brutha Live!!! 😎😆

"i dont really wear black shoes" proceeds to show 5 pairs...
I do it for the people, bro
If you're anything above mid-management in the corporate world or civilian federal government; you'll have multiple black shoes as well.
If you're anything above mid-management in corporate America or civilian government; you're going to have multiple black shoes. Stakeholders and board meetings happen back to back to back and you can't wear the same shoes two days in a row.
@@lawrencecharles3590 I know Lawrence, it was a joke
Nice shoes indeed. I'm surprised you don't have any boots!
I'm gonna get at least one for next winter. I'm slacking.
Yo what's up Vlad ! Those Sons of Henry split toe derby's are my favorite! The texture is beautiful. 👌👌👌✌❤
What’s good, Jonathan? I really love those shoes.
@@v_r_ where can i get shoes made today pls
@@aa-.-477 Vlad said they're from a company called Sons of Henry
Great collection! Since you love burgundy and recently digging the split toe bluchers, may I suggest the TLB Mallorca, Owen in burgundy. Advanced apologies to the wife haha
Hey Josef, I’ll take a look, thanks. I was looking at the Artista line. And LOL at apologies to the wife 😂😂
@@v_r_ I'll take a guess that the adelaide in the artista line is what speaks to you the most
Excellent channel, should be at 100k subscribers
What up, Ivory? I wouldn’t touch those things with a 10-foot pole. You can do much better.
Great walkthrough, excuse the pun. Love shoes and great to see your collection. I wouldn’t be brave enough do this for fear of what my wife would say.
What’s up, Michael? I refrained from making that video for the longest time just for that reason. But it was the most requested, so I bit the bullet LOL
Nice collection. I also like the style of Adelaide shoes. But I don’t have any yet. What brands and lasts are good for those with wider feet?
Haha! Very timely! 😊
This is a great segment meremin is the Brand
Meermin is an excellent brand of entry level shoes.
What are your thoughts on Beckett Simonon?
Hi Vladimir, great vids!
How do think of wingtips/longwing? Didn't see any of them in your collections
What’s up, Jiannan? Wingtips used to be my favorite shoes but now my collection consists mainly of Oxfords as Wingtips and Longwings are more casual. Nothing wrong with them though.
Those burgundy ones is HARD! Bro. Wonder how much they run you?
Thanks, Eric! When I got them, they were $500 but Enzo Bonafè shoes cost $550 now.
All fire my guy. I'm still trying to find a suede that I like. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, bro! Is it a certain color or style you’re looking for?
@@v_r_
Not sure if it was this vid or the sons of henrey suede adelaide unboxing, initially liked the carmina suede, but that sons of henrey is hitting right now. Now that I go looking at Sons, they dont have it any more...lol.
My bad Vlad. Years later and I still havent found my suede in Dark Brown. Any suggestions?@v_r_
@MrBeastky Carmina, Yearn Shoemaker, Yeossal. Check out those brands.
@@v_r_ I have shoes from carmina and yearn, haven't checked out yeossal. What's your thoughts on the Crockett and jones Harvard suede or Alden?
I think i will enjoy them more if ill keep the numbers to minimum
I appreciate your words when you say 50-100 pairs are too many.
What your mindset in having self control in buying shoes? You seem to be well disciplined in your purchases
For me my faves of your collection are the Joe Works and the Enzo Bonafe... looks gorgeous, but also look like they need some love from you, looks like fresh out of the box like if you never wear them! If that is the case they were made for that man !! why purchase high end shoes if I am not going to use them and enjoy them 🧐
I want a brown suede Adelaide dam man
'...until my wife watches it, of course'...lol
😂😂😂
Nice video! Where do you get your shoe trees? They look nice!
They vary! Some are lasted and came with the shoes, others are from J. Fitzpatrick and Quality Shop.
I want a pair of Vass, but their website is down.
Yeah I know. It’s been down for a couple weeks now.
@@v_r_ Related to the Virus?
That’s probably delaying them coming back even more but they were down before that. But they’ll be back.
The first 3 shoes are from Meermin.
@@v_r_ Thanks Big Bro. I really appreciate your early response.
Nice shoes collection! What beads are those?
What about wholecuts?
Hi Diana, nothing wrong with wholecuts but I’m not a big fan personally. I feel like they crease way too much across the vamp compared to a cap toe or a wingtip since it’s one piece of leather in an area where the shoe flexes the most.
Any plan on shell cordovan?
