I have the original Viper Ultimate with v2 switches and superglide glass feet. You can get the Viper Ultimate for $50-$60 with or without the dock used or renewed, and it's often on sale. I honestly need nothing else, it's the perfect weight, shape, and coating and with glass feet, it's even better.
Edit: A USB-C adapter for it also exists for $10 USD (base price and shipping) so you can use any USB-C cable for charging. It's called encoo USB-C to Micro USB dongle for Razer Wireless Gaming Mice.

Gotta say, those superglides are the way to go. I had some hyperglide PTFE skates before putting on the superglides, and the glass is so much better. Not sure if you're supposed to be using the glass feet on a soft pad, but they feel really nice on my Firefly.

@@natemendoza9026 I'm sure they do, but it's not anywhere like PTFE feet as far as I know. I've had mine for about a month and they feel as good as the day I installed them. You're right about the weight difference being noticeable. I notice it with my g pro vs superlight, It makes holding the mouse more natural and effortless. And I prefer razer's flatter shape. So I'd love this mouse if ambidextrous with no right side buttons wasn't such an annoying trend, because if you're used with doing important stuff in-game with them, then the use for such a mouse is rather limited. As it is, I'd rather get 2 more ultimates for the price of one of these, before everyone saves a few bucks on 2 switches and you can't get proper ambi mice anywhere.

Bought the viper ultimate few months back for $63 bucks. With hyperglides feet. The glide on surface feels light but you will still notice the weight when you lift the mouse, coming from mm710. I do really enjoy the wireless convenience as I daily driver it not to mention the being able to put the dongle inside is such a plus for portability. I think the discounted viper ultimate with some hyperglide feet would make most average consumer happy and you just have to pay a bit more for the dock. I personally have no use for the dock since i just charge the mouse overnight when necessary. Battery easily last 4 to 5 days with regular use.

Despite the improvement on the feet aka being bigger, *I'D LOVE* if all companies focus on making bigger feet/indents. With GPX/G303SE/Zowie/XM1 you can always put smaller feet if you want, but indents on most mice being so small we don't have the luxury of the vice versa, using bigger feet. I hate Xtrfy's tiny feet, i hate RVU small feet. Just do what Endgame gear did - make bigger indents. You get to choose between smaller feet of OG Xm1 or the bigger Zowie-like feet of the newer. I am pretty sure that you even get 1 big and 1 small pair inside the box.

The XTRFY M42W has huge feet .. on the opposite my Finalmouse has 4 essentially dots. My GOAT is still GPX and I'm using this V2 Pro. I'd say it's more about your mouse pads' surface than the per se size of their feet.
I prefer a hard surface in my instance. A solid aluminum core covered with PVC with PTFE or glass skates.

That said there's a really good recent comparison of Artisan mousepads from a smaller YT'er .. Good Enough Tech Reviews and it's probably one of the best compare and contrast reviews I've seen. Artisan are a safe bet.
I primarily like aluminum core PVC covered mouse pads. Examples Corsair M600, Razer Invicta Gaming Mouse Pad, Blade Hawks Gaming W Double-Sided Aluminum. None of them are for sale anymore.
I have a Logitech G Powerplay Wireless Charging System pad still sitting in the box unopened, but it will wirelessly charge your GPX and it's still considered a hard surface pad or at least it's supposed to be. I'm getting ready to swap out a new keyboard and rewire my office so that's the reason still sitting in the box.

wow its like Orochi v2 and Viper ultimate had a child, I am definetly buying it. I just can't stand Viper Ultimate's extra features that is why it is not perfecly balance. I also don't like super light because I don't like the shape, I prefer Viper Ultiamte so I step backed and mained Orochi v2. Now finally Razer updated the viper ultimate without the mandatory placing a grip tape and without the charging dock feature that is really annoys me when gets dirty it can be picky on how oyu will place the mouse on the charging dock. Now it supports type c it will charge better and it may have a better performance while using the cable.

    • @Misofortune
      @Misofortune 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I've owned the basilisk ultimate and had similar issues. It has to do with the weird scroll wheel tension system on the baslisk. The vipers don't have that tensioner and so it has no issues.

exactly. a lower price point for the removed specs to achieve the lower weight would blow logitech's super light out of the park. at least in terms of competing for value for money. and it still retains the value of the other vipers like the ultimate, having features. if you say it's for the pros that do not want those features, don't tell me they would not want their pro mice to be affordable af.

If anything... this makes the previous model that much more desirable if you can get it at almost half the price, and have it include so much more features. My viper ultimate started left clicking on it's own 3 days before warranty ran out, exchanged it for g ro x superlight, the new v2 looks great so it was a toss up but swapped to logi because anecdotally battery life is great, viper has mushy clicks (v2 is somewhat improved though), viper takes a while to wake up from sleep (you get used to it but eh) and the G pro x is so universally loved I just gotta see why, also the logitech is cheaper by $40aud!

Razer RMA support for Canadians is terrible.
The Agents don't read, ask the same questions over despite being answered and when they finally determine your product is defective, their advanced replacement option is in USD. When I asked them how much the hold would be, they quoted the price on the invoice without looking at the fact my invoice had other transactions on it. Another agent responded saying I'd only have to pay the MSRP for my device when I bought it at 91.99 (after Tax). I ended up accepting the advanced repair option - AFTER being ensured it wouldn't be any more than I paid for the controller, I accepted the advanced repair service. On receiving the information for the hold, they had the total price of 91.99 in USD, which is about 115-120 CAD.
I've done Cell phone tech support & RMA before so I understand some of the possible issues, however it's ridiculous that I'd let them take a hold for 35 dollars more than I actually paid for the device. Even with the higher price of cell phones, we only held a fraction of the device price.
For those curious, it was a wolverine v2 controller and it failed after 6 months with one of the buttons just not accepting input. I enjoyed the controller while it lasted but between the terrible support, ridiculous RMA options and a product that broke in half the time of the warranty, I'll never buy another Razer product. This mouse may be nice but where you guys are fellow Canadians, I figured other Canadians might benefit from this information as warranty service can often be a factor in making purchases.
Corsair support was amazing. I broke the bracket for the H115i pump and they shipped out a whole new set of brackets for any chipset - Free. I also had 2 led strips fail and instead of asking me to send in the defective strips, they just sent out another package of 4 strips, leaving me with 2 extra. Amazing RMA support from Corsair especially considering the strips cost almost as much as the Razer controller I had go defective.
    Step up your game Razer.

Firstly purchased Viper V2 Pro, however I was not satisfied with the mouse quality. It just looks and felt cheap for its expensive price. So I returned it and went with Ultimate with Dock, in final it was a lot cheaper, more comfortable for charging with dock with the nice indication of charging.
I used apple devices on the daily basis, play only a couple of hours per week and with the mouse on dock, I'm always sure that mouse is charged, I can pick up it anytime and just start to play without messing with cables.
So far only one minus - mini USB cable, I would rather prefer USB type C, and better look of the dock station when the mouse is not on it
