Long story short, I've used Viper Mini for 1.5 years. Sold it, prices went up. I recently wanted to buy one as I miss it so much. I was performing with the Viper Mini the best in Valorant (immo 3). Now, it's discountinued and I've felt so sad that I couldn't buy one anywhere and there it was, one store in the whole country with 3 pieces. I immediately went and picked one up. I may regret to not pick up two actually. As I've tried the Cobra (wired) and it's AWFUL. They did kill the Viper Mini. ALL THE COMMUNITY wanted a WIRELESS VIPER MINI. Then Razer comes and say, nah... We don't want that. Well, let's see who is going to end the upcoming years with worse profit than before. DAV3 / DAV3 Pro is also a failure, nobody buys it, and those who buy it sells it. Pros are turning away from them as well. The Cobra is a failure too. You had one HUUUUGE chance Razer.. You blew it.
Dafuq the DV3 is amazing and alot of people love it ? Also which pros return it ? So far in Valorant many play it xD I want the Viper mini wireless as well but don't talk nonsense about the DV3 pls
i think it might have been because they couldn’t find a right price for the viper mini wireless, if they charged it at like 80 bucks with the same spec and connectivity as the v2 pro maybe the pro would sell and everyone would buy mini, but if they charged like 120-140 people would complain that the reason why the original mini was good because of the price and now it’s too expensive. i think they should’ve launched the mini wireless at 100
interesting insight on the charging dock statistic. I think Razer shld make a performance focus line with wireless charging, noRGB. Make it 60-69g. Boom win win
Can't have that there is reason why the pro versions of the Death Adder and Viper are stripped down as far as they are. Also there are people out there that want more buttons features and heck even RGB it's two different markets razer is one of the few brands that plays both at the high end.
Whoever made the decision at the top of the chain really missed out on a hell of a lot of $$$ with this one and also betrayed the trust of not only the public but some representatives who made the promises in r/mousereview
Cobra wired is a direct upgrade to the Viper mini wired. LOD is fixed, Synapse doesn't try to install when you plug it in, and LED changes are saved to onboard memory. For those who wanted the wireless though... my condolences.
@Vittra0 can we add weight? Both the Viper mini and deathadder mini are too light for me, the Logitech G305 is fine in weight with lithium but oddly shaped (for me anyways). Still looking for that "perfect mouse" for me 😔
I have the Cobra wired and LED changes are NOT saved to internal memory. Maybe that's the case on the PRO wireless version. When I close synapse it reverts to the default RGB pattern.
@@Omarock I was referring to the wired Cobra version specifically. I was able to save LED changes and get rid of Synapse. Not sure why that wouldn't be the case for you, but that's a huge cause for concern if it's inconsistent like this.
During the release of the Viper Mini SE, Razer reps specifically answered "summer" when asked "When will we get a standard Viper Mini Wireless". They've gone back to being stupid.
The crazy part is on amazon the viper mini has 21k reveiws with a 4.7 star ratting compared with the viper v2 pro with 2k reveiws with a 4.2 star rating. I don't understand why they think people dont want a true viper mini witeless.
All they had to do is make two versions of some popular shapes: Pro for low weight, no dock, no rgb. And Ultimate for medium weight, dock support and lots of RGB. Another odd thing is that Cobra/Viper mini shape is definitely loved by performance focused players, so it’s a big miss. What would make more sense is to make Viper V2 Ultimate, with basically all the features of Cobra Pro, but it would also cause no backlash, since performance focused players already have an option to get Viper V2 Pro if they like that shape.
Great content as always Dimitri. I was never a fan of Razer products but was won over by the viper V2 pro and it's been my main now for months. Looks like their high price tactics and unwanted products are back and that really puts me off future releases.
I’m shocked and surprised that they didn’t increase the price of the wired Cobra. I would have thought that would have been reason number 1 for this change.
Just an editing note I wanted to point out. It looks like you blurred your squad in Battlefield 1, I assume for privacy reasons, but didn't blur the chat in the upper left so when one of your squad mates requested ammo, you can clearly see the name. Not sure if it's that big of a deal, but figured if you blurred the whole squad, you probably would've also wanted the chat blurred. Specifically referencing 8:28
Very disappointed to not see a true wireless successor. I did however get the Cobra wired. Better switches, LOD is fixed, Cable feels less stiff. I feel the $40 is fine but wish they did more. I wouldn’t mind paying $50 if they upgraded the sensor but then again i didn’t have issues with the original Viper Mini other than the LOD.
I have a theory that the reason razer made the Cobra the way that it is, is because their Viper Mini SE would not sell as well if they released a lightweight plastic version of the viper mini because most ppl would just buy the plastic version. So they are in a way forcing ppl to buy viper mini SE because it's the only lightweight wireless viper mini that exists. I hope I'm wrong.
i'm watching this video as my viper mini's left click stopped working. i want to purchase the same mouse again but viper mini is out of stock. should i go for cobra or look for some other mouse?
I purchased both Cooler Master MM-710/720 during Amazon prime sales this past week for the EXACT same reasons you stated. Am enjoying both mice tremendously. Razer be like ok, we got good products by listening now let's just doing own thing - instant failure.
Side note.... I used to watch your stuff all the time.... then you stopped showing up on my feed for whatever reason... Long story short I'm happy your still making videos TH-cam algorithm is really messed up.
Although I won't choose small mouse at all, the cobra reminds me few years ago what razer is doing, that is focus on rgb and some fancy stuff but not the performance, but logitech instead focus on the raw performance of the mouse, they just change back to what they used to....... I am a big fan of razer, but if they are going to this direction, it won't be good for them in long term:(
But people don't seem to understand is they have always been doing both things that was essentially the Ultimate line was the Chroma line and now the pro line for the Basilisk and Naga.
@@profosistno we all know that. but now they've taken a very popular mouse in the performance sector and remade it into a casualized rgb version. this is the main thing people dislike about the cobra and also is directly addressed in the video
@@profosist it was popular mouse for aim scenarios mostly because it was the best really cheap option for them and if you wanted a technical confirmation, a razer employee cleared up on discord that the viper and deathadder lines are made with competitive intent while the basilisk and naga (and now cobra) are made for the more mainstream audience
At this point I hope Razer is just confused. If they're very sure what they want to do, this is probably pretty bad. If they're confused at what people want (which they should because people want very different things) it's fine and well, things can still be fixed.
I loved the viper mini for those few months before it started double-clicking (yes, just a few months - my old logitech g303 started to double-click after 6 years of playing every day for a few hours).
Not necessarily related to Razer (I don't think they have ever attempted a genuine non-"e-sports" mouse in their existence), but I'm still waiting for someone to make a hefty, solidly built mouse without a billion holes punctured into it. I've got a Corsair Ironclaw, and whilst it's alright feature-wise, it's still designed for smaller hands; if I want to lay my hand flat on the mouse, two fingers (not counting my thumb) overhang the sides, meaning I either perpetually claw grip the mouse, or have to hover my pinky and other finger in the air awkwardly. Not to mention that the rubber grip just completely evaporated under those conditions. I wish the mouse industry would just throw me one bone that isn't the damn MadCatz thing that looks like someone glued plastic panels and knobs to a roll cage. Just, one good, big mouse, made of materials that would last more than a blink, that I can palm comfortably. Yet, the more mouse videos I see across the tech space, it seems like people won't be satisfied until they get 1 gram mice made of magnesium fly mesh with 7 trillion dpi, that's Bluetooth exclusively. Keyboards figured it out, how hard is it for mice to catch up?
They literally made their budget mouse into a Finalmouse wannabe and ask $200+ for it while rebranding it again to a snake that's barely more poisonous and sometimes might just spit in your face. Just like what Razor is doing to their Viper fanbase.
Hey man! I may be one year late but, Thanks for the thoughts! Never had the Viper Mini. My first experience was with the Cobra wired, like 5 monhts ago, so it was a new mouse for me. Coming from Basilisk V3 that is. My Cobra just got replaced a few days go, as the first one started randomly disconnecting all of the sudden. This is a bit worrisome. Yet i love everything about it. The shape, the weight, the buttons.. It's a joy really, whatever it's called: Cobra, Viper or Lachesis ^^. Just hope i wont have to replace units every 6 months or so.. Thanks again ! 😘
Just ordered a Viper mini only 2 in stock when I looked on Amazon, I was waiting for a "better" Viper Mini generation but it seems that wont be happening
Guys, I work at some random retail shop that sells peripherals in Balkan countries, the Deathadder V2 X Hyperspeed (at retail) is priced at 70 euros, but the REAL price, before 21% tax and other things is 25 euros. Just so you know, before you buy anything anymore xD
and the Viper V3 pro is nonsense aswell, they preferred to put in a bigger battery for people playing 4000 or more polling rates instead of working that weight a bit more. Literally none plays 2K+ polling rates. I'm fine with the actual viper shape but I do also feel like i'd gain a bit more accuracy (especially for small movements) with the mini shape, i'm equally disapointed by the Cobra which is too heavy for today's standards. About the Mini SE, why do they want to work magnesium so badly? I'm sure it'd be cheaper for them to try carbon based materials like graphene
unpopular opinion: i kinda agree with razer. Like i get most fans wanted a viper mini pro, but wouldnt that be too much? the viper line is already big enough. I really do understand what the team at razer were thinking. another complaint people also have is the weight but i bet if a viper mini pro was released it would be the same as the cobra anyway. The cobra line may as well be a mini viper line where its basicly the viper but yk mini. If im being honest I just want a cobra x hyperspeed that w9uld be insane especially with how increadible the basilisk v3 x hyperspeed is.
I think the reasoning behind Razer creating the Cobra product line instead of renaming to Viper Mini V2 pro or whatever was the introduction of the Viper V3 Hyperspeed. The V3 clearly is done with the form factor that the Viper Ultimate or the Viper V2 Pro has, and is trying to mimic the Logitech G Pro X form factor (since the superlight version saw better sales than the V2 Pro). So now, since the Viper line is going to a more GPX-like form factor from now on, Razer is mantaining the old Viper form factor through the Cobra line. It makes sense when you look at it this way.
it really makes sense. All they want is more money. Greed is what keeps them running. Good thing we have other mice from China brands and those are really stepping up nowadays.
This must be Dimitri’s personal choice in mice because I don’t remember hearing much when Logitech changed the g502 completely by taking away the whole weighted thing
I feel like they released this because the mini signature didn’t sell well, so they are like “hey, either you buy this, or the mini signature”, kinda scummy imo
I'm getting one through their RMA (return merchandise authorization) I had to send photos of me cutting the wire and proof of purchase whilst still in warranty 2years.
Here everything was good, they accepted my proofs, twice because I asked for the RMA twice, didn't go through the first time, and they took payment for the advanced replacement (40USD / amounting to 68CAD) and then 24hours later "its out of stock" take this cobra and shove it up your @ss, declined, offered a V3 worth 80$? I'm going to pursue that
80$ cad, but still i paid for a Viper mini replacement for an advanced replacement program stating im paying for a 40 usd replacement for a Viper Mini... this is a scam
One thing Razer REALLY needs to work on, is a new scroll wheel tech. Both my Tartarus V2 & my Basilisk V2 have scroll wheels that not scroll radically up and down when going one direction. :( And yes, what Razer is up to here with these mice is very weird. Too many different models. So many of their keyboards and mice look so similar!
What I don't get is why not just have the Cobra just be "Viper products but with extra bells and whistles" as the up-sell product, and keep the Viper line as the entry-level performance stuff to cultivate and grow their customer base? Like, there's no reason Razer couldn't have both the Viper and Cobra as part of the same family of products for different price points and features - they wouldn't even need to retool their factories if they literally have Cobras as bling'd up Vipers with things like more RGB, adjustable weights, maybe better sensors or switches, etc.
Whilst I agree this is a confusing nice, I disagree in the lack of a need for the cobra line. At 2:03-2:09 you said it yourself accidentally, you know the mainline mice but you don’t know the other names a line might have because there’s a lot of variations, they’re already saturated enough. I’ve said it before, I’m not buying this mouse, but I’m very interested in the cobra line, they do need to differentiate it more by adding a button or two more on the side and cut down on rgb and weight. The regular cobra I had no idea it existed and I do agree moving one product to a new name is confusing and unnecessary. They could have managed the cobra line so much better, and I am losing hope that they’ll make it work. And as I responded to another person in your last cobra video about the “dlc’s.” Whilst I agree it sucks that there are add-ons sold separately, the revamped line of razer mice have done the same thing, the v2 dock is a separate sale from all the compatible mice, just like the v1 dock and the 8k wireless adapter as well, you can/could get them in a combo with compatible mice. I’ll be sticking with my orochi v2, but I’m hoping razer get their stuff together for the cobra line, hoping this is the only blunder of this type.
I'm curious about something, do people genuinely feel the difference between say 70 and 77 grams? is 77 grams really considered heavy? I have an 80g mouse and it barely feels like anything when I pick it up.
70g is pretty average for a wireless mouse nowdays. It's noticeable going to the wired one but not a ton. Now go down to some thing that's sub 50g and you like wow that's light! Especially when it's also wireless
You'll feel that 7gram difference if the weight isn't evenly distributed through the whole mouse. I have a deathadder v2 and another mouse thats supposedly 74g, but the deathadder feels lighter just because it has a better weight distribution.
I think that the cobra pro is a good product but Razer misnamed it and misled people. When they use the "Pro" moniker it implies as they literally advertise for their other products in the pro line that it is "For the pros" If they had simply called this the cobra ultimate I think it may have gone down a little better but it's still ultimately misleading people thought we were getting a pro oriented mouse like we were promised I feel cheated and I say this while using a Viper Mini Signature Edition.
On reddit razer explained the naming scheme. The "PRO" refers to the top performance mouse in a given line of products. Thats why u see the nagas and basilisks with the pro suffix.
My issue is that they should call it Cobra Ultimate (Ultimate = wireless + most RGB, Pro = No RGB, Pro Ultimate = No RGB + wireless). Viper Mini Ultimate is what people wanted. The Viper is an awesome mouse for FPS's and a smaller version would be more comfortable for my hands, so I get it.
They have not released any more white/mercury keyboards either after huntsman mini. It is excellent but years later, I still have sticky keys (software) issue
Looking for a new mouse, got a Viper Mini and would like something similar, braided cable, small and lightweight. I was looking for the Cobra, but I heard it's like the mini but cheaper in terms of quality any suggestions for me ? The scroll wheel is horrible, clicking and scrolling, annoying sound while scrolling and the click is hard and not constant.
Really happy I managed to pick up a viper mini a few months ago. Very happy with it. The cobra pro is weighed down though. Disappointed by that. Glad I saw your video. I was v confused by the cobra line.
I have been waiting so long for a updated orochi mouse, an upgrade from the v2 and hopefully with the new focus pro pixart sensor and usb c charging instead of batteries
Razer been making some weird choices recently. Been a long time Razer customer but might be jumping ship soon as not liking the design and quality of recent releases especially considering the prices.
Razer claims they have listened to store managers and focus groups and they don't want another lightweight mouse. RGB is what sells for them and they are trying to make it so if you want that type of mouse, you buy their Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition. It's truly sad they have disconnected from the mouse community and are now chasing profits.
People forget they were never connected and have always been chasing prophets that's literally razer. They're no hypebeast brand like final mouse, but they don't need to be because they do numbers! Remember there are whole Razer stores, how many peripheral brands have that?
razer was getting a lot of praise for the death adder v3 and viper mini, probably made them feel out of their element not being used to that so they had to go back to their roots with this one
i love the shape and weight of the vipe mini but my side buttons double click and my scroll wheel is scuffed this happened first month i got it. this also happened to 5 other razer mouses i got before. this happens to almost every mouse i ever got no matter what company it's from. if only reviewers like this channel and ltt started complaining about these companies like damn how is this still not a strong topic big channels talk about? we live in a capitalist society who cares what they price it it's their choice and as a consumer we should complain about things that matter and not about the financial decisions these companies make. we have competition for those price brackets.
Naming it pro when it should have been named ultimate drastically reduces the chances of getting a no frills pro model like the viper v2 pro. So it looks like there will only be 2 versions of the cobra but not a huge biggie since a lot more mice with just as good performance are right around the corner, Razer took their lead in the peripheral market and are pulling an intel and resting on their laurels.
Razer going through an identity crisis, on reddit it was confirmed they were working on a viper mini wireless a few months ago, now its cancelled, typically "PRO" meant exactly what you'd think, light weight, no gimmicks, but here we are with the cobra having RGB and all these weird additional tech accessories.
Honestly I’ve always been a fan of the Naga trinity because of the interchangeable thumb button pads. Reading up on it the naga trinity seems to have tons of reviews where it start double click after only 3 months which is exactly what happened to me. I wish them made that mouse but as a mini and got the double clicking sorted out.
As a Razer Orochi V2 owner, I'm disappointed by its bluetooth performance with Macs. On windows via USB Receiver it's flawless, but Bluetooth on Mac it's literally unplayable for gaming due to judder and lag.
i think this is all a business move, so they can upsell loyal fans of the viper mini a mouse that they want, but with many random stuff on top. but since it is the only way of getting a "wireless viper mini" fans have no other option but to take the deal after the sells slow, they will release a actual good wireless cobra with all the performance but none of the fancy stuff for a far cheaper price, call it "Cobra hyperspeed" or something this is a classic move companies do to their well like product all the time. reserve the really good stuff and upsell the loyal fans with a higher price one, after the fans have pay up, release the good one for mass market
They still use a tactile switch for middle button. No wonder many of us have problems after months of use. Many cheap mice use proper switches for the 3 main buttons, but Razer decided to save up on that. Or maybe planned obsolescence.
Really disappointing how they promised something in r/mousereview and proceeded to deliver a completely different product that no one asked for.
Why else would they make a whole new product? To please the investors of Razer of course...
3 different products from what everyone wanted.

So far in Valorant many play it xD
I want the Viper mini wireless as well but don't talk nonsense about the DV3 pls
I have the Viper Mini. Just wondering, how did the Cobra (wired) feel compared to the Viper mini?
Why cobra wired is awful? Isn't the same as viper mini?
@@radius732 I use Cobra, it's very similar, the person who typed the comment is just too used to viper mini.
@@jdawg206A It's lighter, so hard to control initially, but switches sound better, rest is the same
i think it might have been because they couldn’t find a right price for the viper mini wireless, if they charged it at like 80 bucks with the same spec and connectivity as the v2 pro maybe the pro would sell and everyone would buy mini, but if they charged like 120-140 people would complain that the reason why the original mini was good because of the price and now it’s too expensive. i think they should’ve launched the mini wireless at 100
interesting insight on the charging dock statistic.
It weighs more. That alone is a
MASSIVE downgrade
@@northwestclasspnw7974 Cobra wired is 58g. Viper mini wired is 61g.
What even is the use of "immersive" thingy? lmao. We just wanted a wireless Viper Mini not a Viper Mini 2x RGB
I’m shocked and surprised that they didn’t increase the price of the wired Cobra. I would have thought that would have been reason number 1 for this change.
Scroll wheel feels kind of poop but otherwise it seems like a decent Mouse I picked it up just to see if it's still a good budget offering
Not sure I need to replace my Orochi v2 for a long time. I love it
Completely different shape and size. I do have the Orochi in my laptop bag but no way can I daily that thing (no was it ever really designed for that)
Just an editing note I wanted to point out.
I wouldn’t mind paying $50 if they upgraded the sensor but then again i didn’t have issues with the original Viper Mini other than the LOD.
the cobra looks like a 7$ aliexpress knockoff of the viper
I have a theory that the reason razer made the Cobra the way that it is, is because their Viper Mini SE would not sell as well if they released a lightweight plastic version of the viper mini because most ppl would just buy the plastic version. So they are in a way forcing ppl to buy viper mini SE because it's the only lightweight wireless viper mini that exists. I hope I'm wrong.
i'm watching this video as my viper mini's left click stopped working. i want to purchase the same mouse again but viper mini is out of stock. should i go for cobra or look for some other mouse?
What is the guard on your right arm for ? I've had a logitech mouse for about 10 years, I like bigger heavier mice
Gaming arm sleeve. Less friction when moving the mouse around.
I have TWO viper minis!! Love them, and yes they missed the pricepoint and the market on a wireless option.
The reason they did this is because they DONT like minis. Example is the deathadder v2 mini. THERE IS NO DEATHADDER V2 MINI PRO
I would like a brief answer, is the wired snake the same as the viper mini?
Razer should fire their marketing people coming up with these crazy ideas
Good thing I bought spares viper minis when they were on sale, hard to beat the best mouse at $19
I wish I did the same 😅
I purchased both Cooler Master MM-710/720 during Amazon prime sales this past week for the EXACT same reasons you stated. Am enjoying both mice tremendously. Razer be like ok, we got good products by listening now let's just doing own thing - instant failure.
So July 21st for the Viper Signature Series on Razers website??
@@ecapsdira original Viper mini was a cheap $40 mouse I wouldn't say it's in their "performance line"
Or they realised they introduced viper mini underpriced ( Cobra is just doubled the price of viper mini where i live)
Doubt you will notice this, but the 2nd timestamp has a typo making it not active 0"29 vs 0:29
I just want a death adder v2 mini wireless , not this cobra thing
Where did you find out about the Razer Viper Signature release on the 22nd?
damn i was expecting Viper Mini Wireless that might be on par with G304 (same price or smth)
I have Razer mini and im sorry for this situation, but i will use mini for a long time.
Hope it holds up for many years
@@northwestclasspnw7974 Given that it's razer, that isn't promising.
4:16 what do you mean cobra icon is exactly the viper icon? viper has a M shaped accent in the mid section, viper icons do not.
i dont think it would eat into the signature editions sales considering thats a limited edition and is basically sold out forever now
Ok so if my viper mini that I bought last year broke , am I still gonna get my warranty?
Does buying a new Razer viper mini will be worth to keep it as a collection or are the prices gonna go up ?
Video endet for me at "Razer made good....." because I literally spilled my fresh hot nice coffee all over the keyboard laughing 😂😂
“I lube my switches” weirdo spotted
Guys, I work at some random retail shop that sells peripherals in Balkan countries, the Deathadder V2 X Hyperspeed (at retail) is priced at 70 euros, but the REAL price, before 21% tax and other things is 25 euros.
Just so you know, before you buy anything anymore xD
Still own my Viper Mini
Same
Same dude
and the Viper V3 pro is nonsense aswell, they preferred to put in a bigger battery for people playing 4000 or more polling rates instead of working that weight a bit more.
Where can you find out beforehand about upcoming VMSE drops? Cheers for telling us about the 22nd., I'll be trying my luck.
This must be Dimitri’s personal choice in mice because I don’t remember hearing much when Logitech changed the g502 completely by taking away the whole weighted thing
am i the only who prefer dimensions between viper and viper mini?
I feel like they released this because the mini signature didn’t sell well, so they are like “hey, either you buy this, or the mini signature”, kinda scummy imo
Does the middle mouse button work on the new one? Thay would be an upgrade, it actually working...
It's still a tactile switch, unlike the other buttons. 😒
the scummiest part is that they used the cobra name so they can still keep viper mini name for the future someday.
i really like the razer deathadder v2 it fits my hand perfectly but im afraid that it might have been discontinued is there anything i can do
wasnt the viper line supposed to be ambidextrous mices? non of their wireless options have right buttons now...
My Viper Mini just broke, I asked for a replacement, but they told me I won't get one
:(
I'm getting one through their RMA (return merchandise authorization) I had to send photos of me cutting the wire and proof of purchase whilst still in warranty 2years.
Why is the Cobra PRO so heavy?
All the razer mousses I've had broke after 6 months and their software is annoying. Sticking to corsair now.
So many of their keyboards and mice look so similar!
whats wrong whit the cobra ?
Is that a volleyboard arm guard? Looks cool.
on my second razer viper mini, same issue with the middle button click, pretty much clicks every other time now after 4-5 months of use
What I don't get is why not just have the Cobra just be "Viper products but with extra bells and whistles" as the up-sell product, and keep the Viper line as the entry-level performance stuff to cultivate and grow their customer base? Like, there's no reason Razer couldn't have both the Viper and Cobra as part of the same family of products for different price points and features - they wouldn't even need to retool their factories if they literally have Cobras as bling'd up Vipers with things like more RGB, adjustable weights, maybe better sensors or switches, etc.
so if i wanted to get the viper mini just get the cobra?
I'm the proud owner of a Viper Mini, amazing product, cost me round 23$, maybe I should buy another for when mine gets broken lol!
In today's market, 50g-60g is lightweight. 2-3 years ago 70g was lightweight.
Have you seen the Basilisk Pro or the Naga Pro? It's used in the same was as always...
Fck razer hate em noe
Wait, I love my Razer Viper 8Khz, isn't there anything like this ? Because after some years it's finally failing
Got the viper mini 2years ago for less than $20 new best mouse I ever bought. Sad it's discontinued and price for the replacement is double 😢
razer was getting a lot of praise for the death adder v3 and viper mini, probably made them feel out of their element not being used to that so they had to go back to their roots with this one
i love the shape and weight of the vipe mini but my side buttons double click and my scroll wheel is scuffed this happened first month i got it. this also happened to 5 other razer mouses i got before. this happens to almost every mouse i ever got no matter what company it's from. if only reviewers like this channel and ltt started complaining about these companies like damn how is this still not a strong topic big channels talk about? we live in a capitalist society who cares what they price it it's their choice and as a consumer we should complain about things that matter and not about the financial decisions these companies make. we have competition for those price brackets.
i love that"s Montech keyBoard so sexy, nice feeling !! BTW what was the video about ?
On windows via USB Receiver it's flawless, but Bluetooth on Mac it's literally unplayable for gaming due to judder and lag.
i think this is all a business move, so they can upsell loyal fans of the viper mini a mouse that they want, but with many random stuff on top. but since it is the only way of getting a "wireless viper mini" fans have no other option but to take the deal
after the sells slow, they will release a actual good wireless cobra with all the performance but none of the fancy stuff for a far cheaper price, call it "Cobra hyperspeed" or something
this is a classic move companies do to their well like product all the time. reserve the really good stuff and upsell the loyal fans with a higher price one, after the fans have pay up, release the good one for mass market
I got 2 brand new viper minis sealed in box for $20. Wish I didn't sell one of them now. Best mouse I've ever owned.
They still use a tactile switch for middle button. No wonder many of us have problems after months of use. Many cheap mice use proper switches for the 3 main buttons, but Razer decided to save up on that. Or maybe planned obsolescence.
