  • Check out the Positive Grid RIFF Here:

    In this video, we will look at Positive Grid's RIFF Audio Interface, and how easy it is to use.
    We will learn how to connect it to both an iOS device as well as a PC, as well as how to use BIAS FX 2 (which comes with it) with RIFF.
    The awesome thing about the Riff is that it's easy to work with, it doesn't require any "deep" learning, it's literally plug and play (although there are many customizations for those who enjoy digging in further).
    Simple, sturdy and sonically incredible, the RIFF is a great way to practice and record, no matter where you are!

    I’ve been using Riff and BiasFX 2 on my iPad with headphones for awhile now. It is an amazing app and has so many possibility and combinations. And with headphones on, it has an amazing stereo surround sound that is huge, can make it sound like you are in a concert hall. Great for not disturbing the family, traveling, or for trying new amps and pedal sounds.

    Hi Steve. Thanks for the video! Just a quick question about the output audio. How come you are using the headphone jack instead of the 1/4" output jack already built into the RIFF?

    Are you saying the tiny headphone out you can run into a large headphone plug with an adapter?

    • @stinemusiclessons
      @stinemusiclessons  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah. It's 1/8'' headphone out and with an adapter you can use it with a regular 1/4" input.

    Thanks for the great review.
    So there's a looper in this less expensive device but they can't put one in the Spark software, right? Doesn't seem right to me. I also wish there were a way to add more devices to the chain like a equalizer AND a tremolo or an autowah and a fuzz. Or even a splitter like the RIFF has. Great opportunities being missed by Positive Grid.
    I shouldn't complain as I use my Mini on stage with a headphone to 1/4" cord and the Control footswitch. I just got the Go and use it with a very short 1/4 to 1/4 plug hanging the Go off the bottom strap lock. Pretty cool for great tones at home and busking. Surprising volume and tone from that little GO.

    • @stinemusiclessons

      Hi. Thanks for commenting. The Studio One Version I have is the Professional. You might want to check with Presonus and see what they say. I guess you could use it as an interface to connect the guitar but I'm not 100% sure about the 3rd party VST's. Hope this helps.

    Dont get BIAS products if you use Apple M-Series processors. It just crashes. I have had BIAS products since 2016. On intel it was fine. Now I cant use the standalone version or the plugin. I am media and IT professional, so I have done my due diligence. I was in contact with the BIAS support. This is truly some POS software.
