What motorcycles, builds and setup does an engineer and part time bike builder have tucked away in his collection? I do a full garage tour of Joe from ‪@TheWurks‬ work space.
From a Triumph Bonneville / Triumph Tiger Frankenstein bike, to a CCM / BSA / Triumph build and a Harley Davidson Sportster, this is an eye opening collection of what's possible in bike building.

With anything practical I would presume that it is easier if you have an aptitude for that sort of thing but it's not usually a case of that or if you don't have the interest. it's a case of being forced to learn, because you can't afford the garage fees.

GT85 compared to ACF-50 is the corner shop, rollercola equivalent of proper Coca Cola. One of my bikes was SORNed in March last year with a coating of ACF before having a cover over it outside. There is no sign of rust on it after 11 months, and you know what our weather has been over the last year.

What a fantastic video! Joe is brilliant, I'm so happy that he's bringing your Bonnie back to life. I myself recently bought a Bonnie t100. It's a 2007 that has been sitting in a garage for almost 10 years. I did get it running last week, still waiting on parts to make the Bonnie roadworthy again. I definitely want to do a scrambler out of my Bonnie. Joe's scrambler is perfect. As someone that's been riding dual sports for my entire life, the scrambler will allow me to still go off road but give me more comfort on road. Freddie, have you ever thought about visiting the USA? Would love for you and Monica to visit. Anyway thanks for your amazing video's and can't wait for you to be back on the Bonnie. Ride safe.

Listen to Freddie..., "keep your bike in pristine condition and on the road for as long as possible"! Ha Ha, look at that bike now, oh dear!!
You give me no incentive to use that GT85 stuff. "The only thing essential for the MAINTENANCE on your motorbike to keep it on the road", are your words??Maintenance is in my eyes, mechanicals, and not keeping the chrome shiny. Oh, and while we are here, GT85 comes in Spray Cans. Looking after the enviroment is using hand-pump bottles.... well, that's it, rant over!
Sometimes Mr. Dobbs does not think, just that little bit further, before presenting his content on his vlogs. I'm sorry Sir, but critisism comes in all shapes and sizes, not just pink and flowery, and i'm just trying to be honest here and call the spade a spade. Otherwise, I've been a fan of yours a long time and feel rather chuffed with myself when other vloggers and bikers mention your name, and I can say, "oh yes, i've been following him for yonks, one of the best"! You have so much variety in your offerings, not to mention the excellent camera work and choice of music..., oh, I think that was a nod to Monika!
We should get together now and then. You can clean my bike (a chore I hate), and I can service yours, a little something you seem not such a fan of 😏!!

American viewers: GT 85 is rebranded in the United States as "Muc Off" MO 94. The stuff does wonders. I spray it into a detailing brush so I can agitate it into all the hard to reach places that would normally build up with road grit. It keeps my bike looking brand new and also prevents hard water spots from baking onto the hot parts of the engine. Best used on a wet bike right after washing per the instructions, then towel dry to finish.

Another nice video. I am expecting a new YT channel from Freddie called "Bikers' bikes and sheds". I'm sure I am not the only one who'd watch that as there are some amazing characters out there with eclectic bikes and equally eclectic 'sheds'.

I am absolutely enjoying this entire series with Joe. And it’s so fun to watch your reactions Freddie when you find out that bikes can be manipulated any way you want them to be. Joe”s got the heart of a customizer. And a good woman who understands that. Learn all you can from him Freddie.

That Freddie was the best yet ! Trust in Joe, you will end up with a bike for life, and truly customised, adapted to your vision your riding the way that customising evolves. Question.. Dave Calderwood whose articles I used to read? Nice stable Joe.

Freddie, I absolutely loved this video and it's so funny hearing your perspective about Joe's capabilities because I'm exactly the same way. I pretty much do everything myself as well and have never known any different because my father is the same way and it's the only way I've ever known. I absolutely love Joe's collection of bikes and that classic MG looks awesome! I'm so glad that your bike is finally in truly good hands and that Joe's got your best interest at heart! I'm only bummed that you guys are across the pond because Joe is someone I would really get along with well and from the looks of it have an awful lot in common ... LOL! Thanks so much for sharing Freddie, as you always do and definitely looking forward to seeing the rest of the bike restoration/progression! 🏍🏍🏍

As soon as i heard you say it was a replica i wondered if your dad was from Brum,i met him while drinking with the UB's late 70's,if i remember right the engine needed rebuilding after a short time and when he contacted CCM about it they said well the miles you've done is a lot of laps round a track.

What a great episode!! Btw...not doing certain things yourself is not pathetic. Ever. At all. Each to his and her own. We are all of us different, with different skills, and different ways of looking at life. We just enjoy our rides and drives on bikes and in cars that we know have been looked after by folk that know what they're doing!! :)

I work with Engineers and some are a little Odd..but every once in a while I work with some that are just incredible sharing their knowledge.

Very enjoyable video. Joe is one of life’s doers. I have always been of the mind set if you put your mind to it you can do anything. It’s also very healthy to have projects - and dreams.
Freddie puts himself down - but his strengths are in creativity and film production - also a doer. I feel about YouTubing what Freddie feels about bike mechanics- it’s hard work and a lot goes into constant production of material.
I only watch TH-cam because mainstream media is so depressing and fake that I crave for the real enthusiasm of the TH-cam professionals - and let’s not forget Monica who I assume contributes a lot.
Kent Survival, Itchy Boots, Sailing Brothers, 44 Teeth, Angry Bootneck, Joe Rogan, Arieman1, chroniclesofsolid, Fran Blanche, Jay Lenos Garage, Mark Felton, Astrum and of course The Wurks. Who needs TV?

Joe.."can my Bonne sound like this"... LOL..
You're spot on, can't recall where nor when, but I'd picked up a can GT85.. never looked back, it's my only go too... for the P.T.F.E. which it contains... the other Water/Displacement product kills anything it touch's,, well in my opinion and the Auto Electric Trade.

Truly captivating watch. I have a friend who can do anything, cars, bikes, built two houses, built his kids a house each. Left school at 14 no quals. Retired as a Microsoft engineer. No formal training on hands on work just self taught. Would love to be like that. I do diy but often feel out my depth. I have just rebuilt my first brake calipers for my car but am too scared to fit in case they fail. All done off u tube. This collaboration is so stimulating. I cannot wait to see your bonneville fixed. Joe is an amazing fellah and so glad you hooked up. We cant all keep out bikes mint, they are for riding too. As well as being a mechanic, however you can learn a bit Freddy. Not everyone wants to and I have been in the position of wishing I hadn’t started something. It’s at home, it’s apart, everything is seized, don’t have tools, no welder. Call the garage 😮😮

Making the Triumph longer, how does it affect her behavior on the road? Couldn't it be even dangerous, especially as you have as well changed the fork? And not to mention the tires which do not have the perfect grip for the road...
Just curious, otherwise the bike looks AMAZING!! Congrats!

As your bike is completely stripped down you should definitely consider a scrambleresque modification. If Joe’s willing, for not a lot of investment apart from time. Joe could transform your Bonnie into keeper. Would be an amazing story: from scrap heap to unique Bonnie that you’ll cherish for ever.
