Hi from Russia) Keep a little advice: When you knead the composition, pour it into another container, as part of the composition does not mix at the edges)) Thank you for your video)

Blackbeard, to minimise bubbles forming on the silicon mould, I modify a very small 12v motor (uneven weight attached to spindle) and then clamp it to the side of the formwork box. This effectively agitates and vents the bubbles out through the top. Especially also useful for fine detailed formes. Playing with catalyst ratios will also slow the cure (and, I think, increase shore strength) allowing more time for bubbles to vent. Probably not important in this case but useful method all the same. Thanks again for your wishes, hoping the same in return.
i genuinly wish all the people all the best in italie! and i hope you and the rest of the world overcome this crisis very soon! friendly regards from the netherlands....
BBP is such a nice guy, like he really tries his best to document everything he does so that we may replicate it, very rare to find this amount of dedication to the simpler things other cahnnels would just see as a waste of time.
Just as a subscriber and American. We’re just glad to know that you’re doing ok. We will all get through this so long as we’re smart about it. Even though, that’s a lot to ask in this day and age. Thanks for sharing buddy. Glad to see this isn’t totally slowing you down
I like how you mix colors and define shapes, there is a deep sence of art and design in your projects. Well done as always! And stay safe too, hope you and your family stay healthy and well!
I love these. I would like to build knives, but just do not have the space, or time right now. If I had a knife, I would love to use those scales.. They are wonderful....
Love the black ones for sure I sort of like the res and white but would need to see them finished on a handle. Hopefully some videos making these into handles soon.
I LOVE the cork backed scales. The colour contrast from red to white was super cool. This strike me as a slightly more difficult but I think better looking version of Micarta. Cannot wait to see these make their way into another video
Thanks and I hope ALL is well with you! Thanks for sharing n I know you will definitely awe us with whatever you come up with! Cheers n Love from Canada
For any newbies watching .. be safe ... cross cutting that narrow piece it's so easy to get it jammed or kicked back trapped between the fence and the blade.
I worked in the aircraft industry with honeycomb structures for 3 years. Recommendation (see 3:38) - such aluminum honeycombs can be easily cut with a sharp knife. Just hold the blade at a 45 degree angle and cut through with short, quick strokes.
Awesome scales bro, 1.52m subscribers. God damn you’ve done well brother. I remember offering you words of encouragement after watching you construct your 2 x 72 grinder a few years ago. You had less than 10000 subscribers then and I could tell you were destined to attract a large audience. The manner in which you are not scared to build anything you want to is very refreshing and you totally deserve every single subscriber.
When playing with the honeycomb and the two-toned spray paint, try a black resin backing, and something more to refract the color, like a large silver or white glitter, it might show the color better, and maybe even be a little opalescent!
The red/white sprayed set looked like it came out well and with less opaque resin mix would show the contrast better. Maybe just gloss black sprayed on one rt degree angle so the other way is aluminum
There is also a fiber style honeycomb that works really well with composite materials you could try that if you haven'talready. I would have to say that I really like the plain black scale, there is a simple beauty to it that's very pleasing to look at.

I don't know where you are in Italy, i'm in the north so you know what its like at the moment, stay safe friend, and to all the other people around the world where ever you are be safe.

Have you ever thought about making a kiridashi or a pair of wood carving knives
what is the prupose of the hex scales? what will they be used for?
Good 🌹👌👍❤️💯💯
@@sbfarmer8 obviously he's going to make knife handle with them and the purpose for the hexagon thing just for Aesthetics
I loved the gloss black, the contrast with the silver honeycomb looked great.

Yeah, surprisingly, that was my favorite, as well.

I appreciate you showing the labels of the materials you use, a lot of these videos gloss over that and you're left wondering.
