Really cool. I may have to build a vacuum pot and try some of this. I saw post where somebody did this with pot scrubbing (scotch-brite?) pads. I've seen them in green and blue. Maybe there are other colors too. The blue turned out amazing with a unique, almost sparkly, look. Endless possibilities
Well done! Always a pleasure to watch your work. I like the clear look very much, I haven't seen that too often. I'm actually (hopefully) getting new video out tomorrow with a knife with something similar for handle.
Yeah that is awesome i have been really wanting to know how to stabilize those and how to make resin epoxy scales thanks for the lesson great job they look amazing and great video 👍👍
The amber colored one is perfect! I'll be interested to see what you put them on... I'd probably make a nice camp chopper with a good sized handle so you can preserve as much of the cone as possible... plus it fits the theme.
Very well done brother!! Love the refrigerator vacuum pump! Made a one years ago like it for servicing A/C systems in vehicles. I’ve been looking at stabilizing and i think ill have to make another one instead of forking over the cash. Oh and if you need more pine cones i live in colorado I’d be happy to walk out to my yard and pic a few up for you! Great work as always!

The skewering stick across the top was pure genius. I'm stealing that. Can you cut the resin blanks with a table saw, or will it chip out? I don't have a bandsaw and I'm loath to do it with a hand saw. My grandson sent me some pine cones he picked up in Florida (he's 3). I want to make him a knife with them for the scales.
bellissimo! dal lato senza il cuore della pigna sembra quasi che le scaglie "volino". Non vedo l'ora di vedere cosa ne farai, anche se potresti tenerle benissimo anche così.
I have a shit ton of tiny little baby pinecones that fall in my yard every year and have been fascinated with pinecones resin jewelry. Would it be possible to cut the cones prior to setting them in the resin? I'm just super reluctant to spend a buttload of money on the band saw and took I see many people using.
They look awesome, but warning, those tend to be somewhat brittle from everything I've seen. The resin is usually fine, but the pinecone isn't terribly strong.
Heya. Whats the reason for stabilizing the pine cone since you covered em in resin? Will they fall apart when you saw them in half if you had not? Best regards

Great work and very beautiful
Do I find you have a half-circle of epoxy mixed with wood?
the blue and green one is my favorite, always great to see what other's minds come up with. Stunning, would be amazing as an Athame handle!
It truly seems like everything you touch turns to gold!!

hello
These scales with a Damascus knife would be a perfect match!
Your right

One of the most beautiful things i've ever seen, true art.
Yeah that is awesome i have been really wanting to know how to stabilize those and how to make resin epoxy scales thanks for the lesson great job they look amazing and great video 👍👍
These are amazing!! Man I'm a woman and if I had all these tools and equipment I wouldn't sleep for days!!!

I don't know what you would use those for, but dang, those look amazing
Knife scales
That big chunk of plastic coming off the pinecone was so satisfying for some reason.
That was tree sap

Oh, that makes sense. I was wondering what that was. I watched the vid on mute maybe that's why I didn't know lol.
Wow, man! Those are beautiful. I really enjoy the look of the lack of center in the one blue and green one. Looks like hovering pedals. Great work!
THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH!!! LOVE THE SUPER FAST AND DANG THOSE THINGS LOOK COOL!

@Mike N. yeah but they can probably find some pine *trees* if they try.
@Mike N. I can confirm .this is true an sucks ass 8'(
@@mgtowanonymous3120 Man, my back yard seems so much more valuable now, lol.
Neat! Those would be killer scales for a straight razor. Thanks for sharing!

hi
Ooooo... I like the orange-purple scales the best. Good show man!
I hope we get to see these used!
and if the knife had some engraving, matching these scales, that would be very cool.
Wowza gorgeous , could make a mood night lamp out of those , no need for lava lamps after seeing those !
Amazing video bro! I love your projects! They push us to new heights of what we feel capable of...
Im so glad you slowed it down at 3:16 haha i was hoping for a big chunk to come out, great vid!
They really are quite beautiful

That’s sick I don’t understand the process but love the outcome
That looks fuging craaazy!
Damn dude nice work.
Those turned out great. What type of knife will you be putting them on?
Thank you my friend! Have no idea yet 😂
@@BlackBeardProjects , it can only be a knife of total baddassery from our infamous creator! That's just a given...
Orange ones because of the tree that drops resin
Came out look in great. Since they are not opaque I would put liners behind them.
Amish Outlaw great idea.
Those turned out pretty awesome. Perhaps a fence for your bandsaw might save you some time in the sanding process

hi
I stabilize the cones with red-dyed resin. The cross-section of such a pine cone looks brilliant, something like flames! Regards!
What a wonderful pot
Cool idea! Making at height 👍

A very instructive video always wondered how stabilised wood was made. Now I know, great job.
Awesome video. Very informative and interesting. I love the way you show the steps you take. Thank you.
Brilliant result and absolutely unique 👍
Those are very nice, cool idea and great execution!
Best video yet thanks ya'll!!!
Those are pretty sweet scales man! You need to make a bushcraft knife now!
Wow! That’s pretty awesome 👏 ThankYou for sharing 😊
I've just bought myself an amazing t-shirt 👕😁
Those would make some beautiful stained glass windows next to a beautiful wood carved door.
Very Nice job My friend
Those are gorgeous
try mixing some mica powder into your resin? would add some shininess and zest
Beautiful resin scales!
I used to study biology, this video gives me so many ideas !
That looks awesome!
Dang ! Those look slick !
Nice save on the repour .strain everything..thanks for the upload..
It's 4:30am, I have work tomorrow, and I'm watching pine cones... da fuq is my life?
bellissimo! dal lato senza il cuore della pigna sembra quasi che le scaglie "volino". Non vedo l'ora di vedere cosa ne farai, anche se potresti tenerle benissimo anche così.

👏👏beautiful my friend, congratulations
I've never seen anything better than your micarta...until now. You are the best craftsman on yt! Greetings from Poland
The sneezing at 8:39 is so cute lol bless you
Just keep in mind that it’s very hard to pick things up without your thumbs!
Блин, так то красиво. Можно экспериментировать, что угодно в эпоксидке топить.
Ага!! Любимую тещу!!! А потом распилить пополам!!! Красиво будет!😉
I hear a lot of big sport bike passed at the back on every video, wish i live next to you
Stunning! I would really like to se those on a knife - next video, maybe?
Yet more beautiful work thank you for posting

Beautiful😘we want more...
You could use a few LEDs at the bottom to use these as a night lamp.
Or maybe even install LEDs all around a frame and frame them.
PLEASE do more resin projects!
Those are amazing! Well done sir!
What are these used for? Decoration?
They look awesome, but warning, those tend to be somewhat brittle from everything I've seen. The resin is usually fine, but the pinecone isn't terribly strong.
Great work but what is the device used in 5.52 minutes Is it intended to dry the Ibuski
Oh man, you are really creative. I like this!
Oh wow, i absolutely adore these. Thank you.
Very Cool indeed, Well Done !!!!
Once you saw the block in half doesn't it expose the actual fiber of the pinecone and you would need to add more resin to cover that??
Baked Pine Cones, my favorite.
I’m sorry, it is a wonderful piece of art, but if I may ask, what is it use for?
Scale is used for handles like knifes.
julius stacy ohh, thank you
Very good diy
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya 🙏
se aprecia un muy buen trabajo, creativo, interesante, me encanta!!!Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina!!!
Heya. Whats the reason for stabilizing the pine cone since you covered em in resin? Will they fall apart when you saw them in half if you had not? Best regards
They end up a different consistency and polishing differently than the epoxy. If that makes sense.
I’d just put them on the mantle piece as they are as I think they are a thing of beauty😀
Really awesome! Could they be used as knife handles?
Really nice, clever👍
would you use a liner next to the tang so you couldn't see it through the scales
All be damed, That"s cool. Never seen it before.
Very cool nice job
Great stuff! One question though. Why using a pressure pot with the coloured resin? Why not using a vacuum as well?
Did you make the pressure pot to for casting the scales?Good job.
cool effect, could you also share a link to the smaller mold you use? 16.5x7.5 cm (6.5x2.9 in)
Excellent job !!!!!!! Looks amazing !!!!!!!! Thanks so match !!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😇😇😇🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
