  • Today, we take a deep dive into the FlexiSpot Comhar Quick Install All-in-One Standing Desk. This desk is at a great price for all of its features in my opinion. You get a nice size 48 by 24 desk top with metal frame. I really love the integration of the pull out draw and usb-A & usb-c ports on the controller to charge up devices. This desk also has safety in mind with a LOCK button that prevents the desk from moving and Anti-collision which will stop the motion of the desk if there is an object preventing the up/down motion.

    Thanks man , you helped in the decision of not buying this desk. I was hesitant because of mounting, but now I rather get the E7. Great video man!

    I just got the tempered glass one and I love it. It's surprising it only has 110lb weight limit, way cheaper models have more weight limit. For the monitor mount issue, I stuck a spare measuring tape I had under there or you can slide a piece of wood in it.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea for the price you’re really paying for the glass aesthetic. Good to know you can still mount a monitor mount. Happy to hear you’re enjoying your new desk

    That’s a nice little desk if your a minimalist, I wanna be able to Mount my monitor and my monitor is heavy. I had a reg linnmon desk from ikea with my monitor mounted to it and it slowly started to cave in I was pissed. I had to put the legs back on my monitor and use it the traditional way. I’m def looking around for a stronger desk and I wanna go with wood this time around. If u were to get a diff Table top can u add it to that frame ? Great video bro well put together.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahah I had that same thing happen with my linnmon table top with my monitor even after I added metal to it. After using this standing desk I definitely need to upgrade my setup to sit stand. I want to go with a wood top with a live edge cost is high but would like 🔥🔥 and a one of a kind.
      With this model of flexispot desk you can’t add your own top to it cuz it all comes attached in one piece. I frame is made that way due to the drawer. For a minimalist this is a great value love the safety features but for someone like me I needs more desk real-estate for all my stuff. Thanks a lot homie 😎💪🏽💯

    Will the added height of the table top (the desk top itself plus that added frame below) get in the way of your legs when moving forward with a chair?
    On a regular desk, in my perfect position, I can see there is not a lot of space between my legs and the bottom of the actual table top. If I add a frame beneath I wonder if my legs would be squeezed beneath it.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a height adjustable as I’m sure you know. you should adjust your chair until your legs are at a 90 degree angle then adjust the height of the desk until it’s a 90 degree (in a perfect world) for my desk that doesn’t height adjust I adjusted the chair to accommodate this.
      As far as the middle bar it’s easier to use as a footrest or move your feet to be place on the other side. I hope this makes sense and is helpful. If not, please ask additional questions

    Are you not able to drill a hole into the top of the table through to the area where there is nothing in the way and install it through the hole with a rod/nut?

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, of course. Same concept as a regular desk. You just need the right tools to ensure a good even hole

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wasup! The cable management wire cover I use is from Vivo! Its a must on a standing desk so you don't tug the wires while going up and down! here is the link to it (: amzn.to/3VsyI5a

    Is the charger that's included on the desk a Fast Charge or Regular Charge

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      The usb ports are rated: (Type-C output: 5V2.4A/9V2A/12V1.5A; 2 Type-A output: 3.6-6.5V2.4A/6.5-9V2A/12V1.5A) All that Jurgen means is Yes they are fast charging ports.

  • @6thDAY

    Can you confirm whether enabling the lock function also disables the USB power?

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you engage the lock you can still charge using the usb ports on the desk. It will pause charging when the desk is in motion moving up and down then constantly charge when it stops moving

    How did you find the monitor arm installation? The desk dips on the underside right?

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a metal pole preventing you from attaching the arm to the desk on the bottom side. If you angle it right it can mount, that’s what I did or get creative by adding a piece of wood or metal in between the desk and mount on the bottom

      @@WilliamNevius very creative! Thank you. How’s it now after some long term use?

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @rdp8148 still holding up till this day. I actually use this as an unboxing desk with a tall mounted mount to it with a light and camera mount. Weight is probably more than your average monitor so I’d say it’s perfectly fine 😁

    any wobbling issues? even when standing?

    • @goddessgallery

      this what I want to know as well. this seems to be a common problem with standing desk

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s nice and sturdy but a higher heights can wobble depending on how much force. Like standing typing can be slightly wobbly but it doesn’t effect anything much.

    I wonder how this lower metal bar doesn't piss you off. I know that it's listed in the cons section but to me it's so annoying that I'm thinking of returning the desk. Despite the fact that it's gonna be a huge pain in the ass, I worked with this stuff one day and I can't stand it anymore.

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      😂🤣🤣 it was a first. I ended up getting a footrest that leans up against so I don’t notice it. I feel your pain tho bro it was annoying at first for me too. Maybe try a footrest or use the poll as a footrest lol. Hope you figure it out and get to enjoy it

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      They call it “Modern Wooden Tabletop” so I’d say yes made of wood and a stainless steel frame

  • @JTHuddle
    @JTHuddle ปีที่แล้ว

    What moniter mount do you use cause it is kinda thin?

    • @WilliamNevius
      @WilliamNevius  ปีที่แล้ว

      The one I have is this one: amzn.to/3iEZoCv the thin part is that the arm doesn't articulate it mounts directly on the pole without a swivel part attached. Now I do have a swivel arm on and the warm works well on the desk. I probably wouldn't try a dual monitor mount tho

    • @jamesjbail
      @jamesjbail ปีที่แล้ว

      @William Nevius add a block of wood matching the metal frame thickness to place the clamp in a better position
