I was a corporate pilot for 42 years for a living and going to retire in two days. 95% of the time when I am flying that is all that I do….Stare out of the windshield. I have one and a half years of accumulated time above the earth watching it go by at 500 mph. Now I am going to get in my fifth wheel and see it from ground level with my wife. Just found your channel……. The first video of yours that I stumbled across was “Silent photo editing on M1 IPad Pro” I thought : Who is this guy and glanced down to see 5.6 M subscribed and scoped out your other stuff and love it…You inspire me. Unfortunately, The endless quarantines and college gradually doused my passion for photography and I really miss the feeling of getting in the zone by doing what I love. You're one of the OG photographers that inspired me to pursue photography and I hope I can get back to it again. It brings me joy to see that you're still pumping out fresh content and made a lot of awesome changes. Keep it up man! 💪
We would love to see your detailed workflow from shooting to editing (when does kirk edit, when do you edit), QAs, uploading to youtube or communicating to your clients etc. Also the home office sounds sick, would definitely love to see that. Cheers Pete, great vid as always!
Seems like we're on the same frequency with office tours and updates on gear. I just filmed a new video but also included a cold plunge tub that i put in my backyard to chill out and recharge when i need a break from editing.

What do you use for a portable SSD drive? That matches the speed of the new MacBook Pro so you can edit off the drive as if you were using the internal ssd?
@@user-dh5fp4gw1b T5 is quite slow, it maxes out at half a gig per second I thunk, you'd need a T7 or better yet an NVMe enclosure with a thunderbolt 4 port in order to match the internal drive

If you need a speaker for music, black Sonos one. everything else just use your headphones. I binned my PC speakers a while a go. I have wireless steel series headset, which is insanely comfortable and then a Sonos for when I just want to listen to music.
Definitely want to see the home office, especially to see what you've done with your drums. I've got to relocate my desk space so looking for inspiration 👍
I just saw this with a pair of headphones and realised Pete is going that extra step and making the audio surround sound. Just like the 8d music youtube videos. Loved it!
Bought the MX MASTER 3 MOUSE about a week ago. Brilliant!! I use it at home with my MAC and then I take it to work to use on my Dell where I also have the M510 programmed to a number of other common editing functions. I then use two mouses. 15 days and counting to the arrival of the 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max (taking deep breaths....)
I used to watch you way back in 2016/17 when you were doing the two minute Tuesdays. Just got this video recommended and realized you now have 5.6m lol congrats bro
