FlexiSpot Standing Desk Review and Comparison (Comhar vs Seiffen)

  • I bought the Flexispot Seiffen desk and compared it to the FlexiSpot Comhar standing desk (sent by Flexispot) and give my review of both. Save an additional $15 on either desk here: www.ptprogress.com/flexispot
    Flexispot did not pay me to do this review; everything I say about the desks are based on my honest opinion.
    Standout Features:
    Programmable Height Settings
    What sets this version apart from my other Flexispot desk is the programmable height control.
    Touchscreen Buttons and a Whisper-Quiet Motor
    If this is your first standing desk, you may never have imagined a desk could be “loud” - but the truth is, anything with a motor makes noise.
    Both Flexispot desks are pretty quiet, but the motor on the newer desk is a little softer, reaching just 50db. Whichever desk you choose, you won’t hear crazy hydraulics each time you tweak your desk position.
    Safety Functions
    If you’re worried that the touchscreen buttons will be too sensitive for your workstation, just press the lock button to keep the desk in place.
    The Comhar desk also features an anti-collision sensor which prevents it from crushing anything.
    Ports and Storage
    If you’re looking to streamline your charging station, the Comhar desk is designed for modern tech, featuring 2 USB ports and 1 USB C. What the desk requires in outlet accessibility, it gives back in charging ports.
    As an added bonus, the Comhar desk includes a small drawer. Like a miniature storage area, this drawer promotes a clear workspace and provides quick access to items such as pens, a keyboard, or earbuds.

    Hi Tim, thanks for the useful review. How do you organize the wires? Is there a under Desk Cable Tray?

    if i unplug the desk (to not be exposed to EMF),
    when i plug it back in does it remembers my presets?
    Or i have to set them up each and every time the desk is unplugged and plugged back?

    Hey man! I know this doesn't really have much to do with the video but I wanted your opinion. Do you think its possible to be a graduate assistant during PT school? I'm already 26k in debt from undergrad and I'm attending a school where tuition is 65-70k (i think)

    From the look, it looks like we can't use monitor arms on the Comhar one, right? I also saw another review talking about it. That is just sad because the storage is super cool.

    May I know if both desks have any wobbling issues when you're using them? For example, when typing, writing or even just moving your hand. If so is the wobbling acceptable? Thanks for the video!

    • @PTProgress
      @PTProgress  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No wobbling for me but if your floor is not level, you can use the adjustable feet to make it even more stable.

    • @milominderbinder9287
      @milominderbinder9287 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @PTProgress Well, the wobbling is pretty noticeable @ 2:34, so I can imagine that the same would happen, when having a bit bigger monitor on the table and when typing into your keyboard.

    How is the Comhar holding up? I'm interested in getting this desk, but I've read reviews where people mention that it stops working randomly 😓😬

    is the top made of glass? Also, will dual monitor clamp works on this desk?

    • @PTProgress
      @PTProgress  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This version has a glass top. I wouldn’t personally put a clamp on the glass top. I’d you have a dual monitor with stability clamps, I’d go with the non-glass version. I use a clamp on the non-glass version of the FlexiSpot desk I bought originally.

      @@PTProgress Thanks for this answer. The glass top desk looks really nice and I like the stored height settings, but I'm going to have to go for a wood desktop because I want to use a clamp for my screen. I hope, one day, they make a glass version with some way to attach a bracket to hold the screen above and clear of the desk surface.

    Hey! Awesome video.
    Just a question, I'm considering to get one of those... but, I saw you didn't add the microphone arm to the new desk. Do you think it could work with the glass version? or should I go with the wooden version?
    Have an amazing day! :)

    • @PTProgress
      @PTProgress  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! I’d go with the wood version if you’re going to clamp it onto the desk. The comhar desk with adjustable settings has a wooden version.

      Thanks a lot for your answer ☺️☺️
      I was thinking that maybe the metallic frame would've been thick/wide enough to hold the microphone arm. Wouldn't be? 🤔
