so...what does split screen do?(android auto) Are you able to run spotify on the right smaller screen while maps is open on the left? I wouldve liked to see it in action.
Unfortunately nothing just yet. The smaller split screen is just for the features of the car like weather, radio/SiriusXM, Sounds of Nature etc. You can't have any Android Auto or Apple app show up there.. which would actually be a pretty cool feature
When on Android auto it give you the split screen which sucks; Is there a way to go to full screen? I believe you said at 8:34 that you can but didn't show how HELP!
It's not just you! There have been issues with Android Auto not going full screen as it should across multiple manufacturers. You can contact Kia Canada and let them know - if they get enough feedback, changes can happen!
You seem very smart, perhaps you can help me. I am old and trying to get an ipod shuffle to work via USB and the car doesn't recognize it in media or am I looking at the wrong spot?
Some older devices won't work in the Telluride. Older iPods/MP3 players usually require to be connected with a 3.5mm cable which the Telluride doesn't have
@@CarsWithSteve thanx. I have the USB adapter and it's worked forever in my 2012 chevy equinox then I just got this amazing car and was wondering if I was doing something wrong lol thanx again

Just in daily driving, I like my map showing on my main screen & I like different options on the smaller split screen. I took Telluride in for a clean-up. How do I set up &/or change my split screen? Where do I find the weather options? I have an SX. THANK YOU!
Yeah, it's a weird process to do it though. 1. Launch Android Auto or CarPlay 2. Press the Radio button on the side of the screen and select the station you want to listen to 3. Launch back into Android Auto That should have AA or CarPlay up while the radio is running!
Hey Phil! If you haven't figured out the SiriusXM list - when you move into SiriusXM there should be a channel list that pops up near the top right of the screen. I don't believe there's a way to make a list view the standard option though

So to listen to FM or my playlist I have to uncable, restart it, and if I want to go back to Spotify, do cable, reload AA to spotify. Is there a dongle or something to fix this Kia fail?
It is odd that wireless Android Auto/Car Play aren't standard in the higher trim levels. There's a company developing a stick specifically for this purpose - I should have a pre-release model in hand to review in the next few weeks and will let you know if it actually works
You don't "have to" plug the cable back in to go to Spotify. You can press the "media" button on the dash, and select Bluetooth audio. Suggestions on using the radio and apple maps at the same time? I just got a 2022 Telluride and if I click the Radio button and have the music play, then I click the Media button to set up maps on Carplay, the radio turns off. The same in reverse.. if I am using Apple Maps on Carplay, then click the Radio button, the map goes away and it turns the radio on. Then, if I click Media again, the radio turns off it takes me back to the main Carplay screen and not the maps I was just viewing. It is super annoying. Found a hacky solution online saying to program the “mode” button on the steering wheel to be FM and then program the star button to Phone Projection. This works but is super non-intuitive. All I want to do is view Apple CarPlay for maps and listen to FM music. I am having a hard time figuring out why this is such a struggle.
That hack that you used is probably the best way to do it. I'm back at a Kia dealer in a few weeks and can play around a bit more to see if there are any other options though
