    I have a 2022 telluride sx prestige nightfall in glacier white. I’ve had Toyota’s most of my adult life. We sold our 4 runner and bought the telluride and I was not real sure about it. I will say we’ve had it for about 2 months now and it is for sure the nicest most comfortable vehicle we’ve ever had. I have zero complaints.

      How do you like the braking? I rented one lasy year for a family trip and I felt like the braking response was a little sluggish. Maybe it was the weight and momentum of the vehicle or the vehicle I rented needed new brakes. I'm not really sure but that was my only complaint

    I’ve had my 2022 Telluride for a week today and it’s spectacular. I agree that 1) the new badge is an improvement and 2) that on the blacked out Nightfall edition the badges should be blacked out as well. Already ordered a kit to remedy this for both the front and back badges.
    A couple of highlights for the interested, visibility is great as you sit up high in the vehicle with very good sight lines and a big back window. In combination with the 360 degrees cameras there are no nasty blind spots. The 291 HP engine is efficient and plenty of power to move the Telluride quickly if necessary. In fact just last night I briefly floored the Telluride going up hill and it jumped into action eliciting oohs and ahs from my passengers. The second row with captain’s chairs are very comfortable with plenty of head and leg room for most everyone. I’m 6’4” and fit quite comfortably in the second row. The Telluride (as correctly mentioned by our video presenter here) is a smooth, quiet ride with every useful amenity that could reasonably be expected save for the Apple CarPlay being required to be plugged in. (Not sure why the wireless version isn’t available as it is in the new Sorrento.) I love the dual moon/sun roof which provides nice light in a rather large vehicle. In short, I love my Telluride. It feels big and safe, but also rugged and powerful. It’s very comfortable, but also has the ability to easily put the seats down and have a very large cargo hold. I did a lot of research before ordering this vehicle and am so far very pleased with my decision to get one.

      Question if you don't mind, how much did you pay? I've been out of the market in recent years and understand things are a bit crazy right now, with some dealers taking advantage. Not sure if things are worse here in the NYC metro area, but curious... Thanks.

    • @ahua
      @ahua 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rptrama my order was placed just before the full effects of availability and inflation hit. So my price was still MSRP. I’ve heard a lot of stories about dealerships adding to the price because of the high demand and lack of inventory, but thankfully my purchase was not affected.

    We ordered a 2022 Telluride White Nightfall on November 27th. They said the wait was 3 to 6 months. They’re now staying it will be in around mid to late January. We are very excited. This is our second Kia (brand). My first Kia Sorrento white was about a 2011 I think and it was awesome. Loved that car. Traded it around 90k miles and it still had no issues. Great Job, Kia

    • @ahua
      @ahua 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@auctevia I did the same shopping as you and found the following . . . Any Nissan was right out for me as they have a lot of sensors that are often both useless and dangerous. I had a 2008 Rogue that disabled the engine while driving on the freeway because of a sensor in the steering column failing. Turned out there was nothing wrong with the steering column, just the sensor. Ditto on a heat sensor. The vehicle began to shudder and slow down from 68 mph to 35 while driving on the freeway. I or friends have had similar experiences across the line of vehicle offerings from Nissan. So any Nissan vehicle was an immediate no. As for the Toyota 4Runner, I was amazed to find several things that made it a no for me as well. While I was attracted to the look of the 4RUNNER and the reputation for reliability, I was surprised and disappointed to discover that it has both the least powerful engine in its class at 265-270HP, and also the worst fuel economy in its class at 17MPG freeway. Even the Land Rover Defender at over 5000 lbs got a significantly more economic 23MPG compared to the Toyota’s 4400 lbs. Lastly I learned that the 4Runner’s interior hasn’t been updated in 10 years. While I’m fairly tall at 6’4” I didn’t expect the interior to be so cramped that I would touch my head to the ceiling after making every adjustment to the driver’s seat save for reclining it. It also didn’t even have CarPlay or Android connectivity to the infotainment system. For these reasons, I opted for the Telluride (which I fit in quite comfortably) and am very pleased. More power, better fuel economy, far more comfortable, newer and better amenities and a much improved record of reliability are just some of the reasons why.

As for power, I prefer smart mode and the transmission absolutely makes the most of the horsepower. I have an EX, 2 wheel drive and this vehicle is perfect! I test drove nearly all the competition, and to me, this is easily best in class. It is the most spacious, the most comfortable and it rides like a dream! The stereo is very warm and accurate also. I have a 2021 EX 2wd. Took a road trip after putting 3 grand on the odometer. Reset the trip odometer to check the mileage. Trip took us from the twin cities to Denver, west on 70 then north to Yellowstone and east from there. The mileage for the trip was an amazing 31.4 mpg. I didn’t baby it either. Encountered speed limits of 80 and regularly exceeded the speed limit. The engine turns 2grand at 79mph.I chose the 2wd because of the slightly higher mileage rating. Highway mileage is considerably higher than the EPA numbers. The mileage around town is closer to the numbers in this video.

      @@michaelpalkovics I did both and love it, didn't like the idea of 1 blacked out and not the other...Wish I could show you a pic...I have the everlasting silver color but the Wolf Gray is bad ass too! Congrats on the ride. I've had it for about 4 months and it's an amazing vehicle. Drove BMW X5's, Volvo XC 90's, Highlander and Pilots. The Kia, in my opinion, blew them all away. Never thought I'd say that about a KIA!:)

    Great informative video.
    Can u kindly give information on ride quality on local roads and impact on pot holes on local roads vs highway riding. Is the ride quality soft or is the ride quality harsh or stiff. I do have 2020 Honda Pilot exl AWD and ride quality on local roads is harsh and thus I was gathering info for 2022 Kia telluride / 2022 Chevy Tahoe / 2022 Ford Expedition / 2022 Toyota Sequoia and personally I prefer having soft and smooth ride on local roads. Kindly let me know the ride quality for the 2022 Kia telluride. Thanks

    They left out a big SAFTY issue and that is that there are No RECOVERY POINTS.
    So here’s a question, in the commercial where the Telluride is drifting through a muddy field, if they got stuck what would be the connection point for a 4x4 vehicle to pull it out?
    It was marketed as a very capable off-road vehicle but the manual instructs that a tow truck should pick up by the wheels to avoid damaging the AWD system. Have we forgotten the “Give it Everything” campaign already?
    I Owen a Telluride also .

    If you “blacked out”…..the front emblem you wouldn’t see it as the entire grill is black. The silver gives it contrast. I do agree with the emblem on the tailgate being black because it also gives it contrast. Its pretty much not an argument, as it is common sense and your camera “person” is a smart “human”. Hopefully everyone isn’t offended.

      I haven’t tried anything with full gear yet, but I can report that with 4 passengers my Telluride threw everyone back in their seats when I floored while going up a fairly steep hill. In other words it has a lot of get up and go that is accentuated and improved by the gearing of the excellent 8 speed transmission. Didn’t even have the setting on sport mode. This vehicle is quick and powerful.
