not a big fan of not being able to lock the SUV from the inside button as you leave the vehicle. I don’t see the point and it should be a programable option.
Can you make Android Auto take up only a part of the screen and have the radio or something else on the side? Basically, can I be using Waze on Android Auto and see the map, while also seeing my AM/FM radio station on the screen?
Great video. I do have one question though. In the maps settings to change the color of the map seems very straight forward. I'm experiencing some difficulty in changing the color from black to milky. I am in the garage when I'm making the change, when I go outside in the daylight will that change take place? Currently it's staying black.
Thanks Sam! If it's not changing colors in the garage it's probably because of the auto mode which will change between dark/light depending on how bright it is outside. The vehicle probably thinks that it's dark outside!
Use your voice by pressing the voice command prompt on the steering wheel.. If you've hooked up through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay do a longer press and hold of the voice command to activate Google Assistant or Siri and use that to navigate
Hook up through Apple CarPlay and if you have Spotify it should show up in your app display, might need to swipe to find it. On Android Auto it would be the same thing.. if it isn't showing up, follow this video to enable it th-cam.com/video/K2PMtdje3m0/w-d-xo.html

Do you have to be connected with the usb to access Apple CarPlay?
With this larger screen you do.. the screen doesn't support wireless CarPlay or Android Auto unfortunately

You CAN use Maps on full screen in Android Auto.... at least I can in my 2024 Telluride.

Yeah it’s trim specific.. in Canada it starts in the SX Limited and USA is SX Prestige

Can you use a type C on the dash to connect to your car
Don't believe so.. the type C in the center stack only has a the charge icon next to it

If you have a base US model it has a smaller screen with wireless CarPlay support.. But these larger screens are only wired unfortunately
@@CarsWithSteve ottocast dongle transforms this into wireless for both Apple Carpmay and Android auto. $99 from them. Wonder why kia could not do this
Why did Kia use the discolored looking old style tft screen like look for the home screen when it can doo full color. Poor design choices

The USB-C port in the Telluride is for charging only.. You need to be plugged into the USB-A port!
yes I’m doing USBA to USBC and it will NOT recognize it. It’s looking like a pretty universal Apple problem @carswithsteve
