  • 32bit Audio on DJI Pocket 3 - This is how you sync audio to video.
    If you own the DJI Pocket 3, you may know the camera can record both a safety track and also a 32-bit float audio clip.

    You are my personal hero today. I used this to figure out how to use 32 bit audio on the Action 4 and now I can vlog on my motorcycle with perfect audio. THANK YOU

    Thank you very much for lessons and tips. I didn't understand the back up wav audio file on the SD card prior to this and thanks to you, I now understand what it is, it's purposes and use cases. Thanks again, have a great, productive week ahead.

    One question. Did you use the audio file recorded automatically with video simultaneously on pocket 3 or the audio file recorded (by setting with 32-bit float on) on wireless mic to make a synced file? Thanks for your video!

    Thanks for the wonderful sharing and I've like you video but I need some help. Whenever I try to place my 32 bit audio onto the adobe premier track, I found out that the audio clip are longer compared to the original audio recorded in pocket 3. I think this issue happens because whenever I press the record button on my pocket 3, there will be a slight delay on my dji mic 2 before it starts to record. So meaning that I have to clap my hand to create a peak before I start to Vlog as the audio peak will help me to sync both the audio. May I know have you encountered this issue? Thanks

    Do you know if the pocket 3 can output internal audio and wireless mic audio while recording to an external recorder or mixer?

    great video, but my audio file has not the same length as my video file. Timecode enabled. They also do not get the same file name on the mic and teh pocket 3

    I really do need to learn how to use and record on my separate mic and then sync with the video rather than rely on my crappy GoPro mic.

    • @editorskeys
      @editorskeys  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Phil so this process would work the same, you could record audio to you phone then sync up the audio and video this way (just change to automatic) 👍

      How do you sync audio to video after? Just manually or is there an easy way to do it??

  • @Sustainavore

    Thank you for this. One question though: Is it possible to turn off the wireless transmitter on the mic? The EMF that it produces is likely even higher than the DJI mic 1 I have, and it exceeds healthy ranges by a very wide margin which I would be concerned about for daily use hours on end. I would love to be able to use it as a remote wireless mic without transmitting and then sync the 32bit float after like I do with my zoom f2.

      I made a video for you showing the results of the DJI Mic and some thoughts in the description. I posted it to my account (not a TH-camr, so sorry for the basic video lol), in case it's helpful for your or anyone else. I also made one on the RODE Wireless Pro but it's essentially the same results.@@editorskeys

      and if you'd like more info on EMF in general, if you google: "What are the Safe Levels of EMF?" an article by EMR Shielding Solutions will come up that does a great job of breaking down EMF's in a very understandable way. They sell EMF meters and shielding products apparently, but I know nothing about the company and am not endorsing them for anything other than their explanation of EMF and what can be considered safe levels.

    This is what i was looking for! I am very new to all of this its my first mic ever! So just to make sure I understand correctly: i need to first of all switch ‘on’ the 32 bit float on the receiver. Do i also need to separately press record on my mic when i start recording? Cause i am worried if maybe i forget to separately hit record on the mic itself or is that not needed? Also will i find this 32 bit float recording on my sd card which is in my camera or really just on my mic? I hope someone can help me 😇

    • @editorskeys
      @editorskeys  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Great question, so no as long as it's paired you should see the green input volume at the top of the screen, This means when you record with the Pocket 3 it will auto record your microphone. You generally won't need to then take audio off the microphone it will be perfectly synced to your video! Hope this helps

      @@editorskeysthank you so much for answering! Is this also if i am recording on sony zv1? Cause i dont have this cute lil camera actually 🙈 so you say i never have to do anything extra as long the 32 bit is ‘on’? Only in the editing stage in final cut pro i will do these steps you did to sync right? So do i find both my video footage and the audio both in my sd card? Or will be sd card have the footage (with normal audio which i mute in editing process) and then the 32 bit audio to be found on my mic storage? I know this might be very beginner questions but I literally have 0 knowledge here 🤓 thank you in advance for responding (i hope) 😇

      @editorskeys  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Thatgirlshir h ok if you're recording with a ZV1 if you have this microphone you'd need to connect it via a Cable and then sync the audio manually (just for the 32bit float) but to be honest you'll find the normal audio being recorded with the microphone is fine, so I wouldn't worry about using the 32bit stuff.

    But hang on, the mic 2 does not record timecode according to DJI so how is that meant to be working ? Is it not just defaulting to sync based on audio wave forms ? I have not seen any evidence that the Mic 2 generates timecode, let alone that it jam syncs with the Osmo

  • @fotografkennethlund
    @fotografkennethlund 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    When I do this, the mic sound and onboard mic sound is not in sync. Every recording needs to be adjusted (no much, but if I don't, it doesn't sound good)

    1:38 How would you make sure that the files are the same name when Mic 2 32 bit float recording file has a different name from recorded video regardless that Pocket 3 settings "Audio to Video Sync" is ON? All I could do is to find P3 Video file recorded at the same day and time as 32 Bit float file did. And this is a pain in the back. Even After I found simultaneously 32 bit float recorded file there is no way to just drag and drop it in Adobe premier Pro to synchronize with video. This is another pain in za butt. I spent several hours to make 9 minutes video with all this matching and synchronizing files. I don't have a Mac BTW. th-cam.com/video/pEKjQTVX4fQ/w-d-xo.html

    As you've shown on your video, there is a separate audio file within the DJI filing system and it is not imbedded within the video as you show. When I import the video there is no audio track. Why is this?
