Of course, Doctors are the most brainwashed of them all, TV hosts are just actors. Promoting alternatives highlights their healthcare system isn't all encompassing and that there are solutions outside of their institutions. There's no money in curing people of sickness, only in prolonging illness. Then there's alternative health practices that cost an arm and a leg (such as $5k per dental implant).

Notice he says “implants don’t last either” meaning the root canals don’t last. His didn’t! The problem is how long this not lasting goes on for and Infection can be at a low level as not to be detected. I went through hell before it got so bad I had to have extraction. Also, I was told it was safe (probably meaning the filling material only!) and never told they fail. Once you get sick the Physicians don’t know what to do-they don’t relate it to teeth, because that’s not their training. If you go to the standard dentist they can’t address what happened to your immune system either. Biological/holistic dentistry is expensive but should be accepted by more insurance plans, and/or made accessible and be taught in dental schools. I suffered greatly after not being told they can fail. There is a lack of informed consent. Their needs to be more education on whole body systems and what affects the teeth can affect the whole body. Most dentistry is in the dark ages on this. Also, I had mercury amalgams out and felt better after (was sick for years not knowing this could be a factor.)
Thanks everyone who shared their experiences and especially glad for you who got out of such suffering. You can be beautiful and eat with a simple partial, etc. after all, haven’t we learnt from wearing masks-we smile with our eyes too! Plus you’re not alone..
Hopefully dentistry and medicine will both address these issues someday and not compartmentalize the body as is routine with ‘specialists’..Look at how body systems work in concert..

A biopsy of my three "perfect looking" root canals showed they contained 19 serious infections. I felt like I was dying every day until I had them removed. I became symptomatic after 15 years, it usually takes time for these chronic silent infections to cause disease. Conventional dentistry kills people - it's a "drill, fill, bill" mentality that's sick. The ADA will continue stating that root canals are perfectly safe. The lawsuits if they said something else would be humongous. Going forward, I'm only seeing holistic/biological dentists.
Also, interviewing an endodontist about the safety of root canals is like interviewing a representative from the fossil fuel industry about climate change. They should have invited a biological dentist to counter the argument. Very unprofessional by this show.

The rest of my teeth are fine. I have read so much about the dangers of root canals that I don't know what to do. I'm definitely getting a second opinion about what can be done. Also, they have to get approval from my insurance company and if they won't pay, this will cost me 3 grand per tooth. That's 6k. Are they trying to recoup the money they lost during the pandemic?... because it's just too much? Maybe you should consider the implants. They are expensive $4-5k a piece, but I hear that they can last 20+ years. Consider the zirconium (ceramic) instead of titanium. If you are able to travel to a cheaper place they can be as low as $3k, but probably will not get any cheaper than that here in the states.

Well, if you need a root canal and if it's too too too dangerous and it's a no no, what's the alternatives then losing your tooth and take it out? Give a better option or don't say anything. You don't have to be aching madly to get a root canal, sometimes it's a prevention procedure if the cavity in the molar tooth for example and hidden in between 2 molar teeth meaning the tight position of the cavity and how deep it is close to the roots will determine the need for a root canal. The only bad thing about it and what's really painful is the damn cost and of course the need for a crown right after (imagine the cost) that's the nasty thing about it, other than that, it's mostly a success unless you have already problems with your teeth and gum caused by years of abuse.

So the abscess is cooking down there at the tip of the root. It may not be as painful you may think because your abscess burrows a pathway away from the balloon of infection and out into your mouth which is the Fistula. Since that drainage is happening the balloon of puss and infection is no longer building up pressure but the infection is getting larger and when that little fistula blocks up then you're balloon of infection will pressurize causing worse pain. Teeth are naturally porous meaning they accumulate bacteria. When you have a healthy tooth that is connected to your bloodstream that is not a big deal because it will naturally clean out the bacteria as it accumulates. With a dead mummified rebuilt tooth like in a root canal there are two problems. One the tooth is no longer connected to your bloodstream and can therefore no longer efficiently clean out the bacteria that will accumulate an infection is not a matter of if but when. two the tooth is dead and it's condition will degrade over time and become brittle. There it's not as much good science as there could be on the health concerns surrounding root canals because root canals are a money maker.

I may need a root canal, and I have watched the documentary "Root Cause." The allegation in the movie that 97% of female breast cancer patients have had a root canal procedure is an extreme condemnation of this procedure, but it is also an allegation that is extremely simple to disprove. All that would be required would be to survey 100 breast cancer patients and/or their oncologists regarding this statistic. No multi-million dollar research required. Is the statistic true or false? Simple cause and effect analysis. The fact that the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists have either not conducted such a study or not disclosed its results is a tacit admission to me that the statistic is true. Btw, I am a lawyer who deals with how to prove the truth and disclose lies on a daily basis. This would be an easy one for me to prove or disprove in trial if given a small amount of resources.

Root canals can address many different issues, not just abscess or infection. The most important thing is keeping your natural tooth as long as you can without extraction.

Most of the comments associates having a tooth treated with root canal with other diseases that have a different cause. Root canal is a safe procedure, the only thing scary about a root canal is the cost (depends on how much the patient neglected their tooth condition or how late was the problem addressed).

@ Misfit01. Of course they don’t work 100% of the time No honest dentist would ever say that they did, but a skilled practitioner would have success rates of over 95%. No procedure in dentistry or medicine is 100% effective The alternatives of bridgework and implants are no more successful

@@toothrestorer6588 Exactly. It's just like what you see in any antiseptic agents or antibacterial soap, its always 99.9 percent. They always leave a small percentage because they cannot legally claim that its a hundred percent successful. It really does depend on the skill of the dentist or the severity of the case (whether saveable or not saveable teeth), there are a lot of factors really. But regardless of those factors, the benefits of root canal outweighs just leaving the tooth as it was, whether infected or even necrotic or extracting it.

@@nft3 can I ask how the root canal was performed? what filling material was used? how was it cleaned? did you got to a professional holistic endodontist? I ask because depending on what was done or not done could help people make qualified decisions regarding root canals. Instead of saying RC destroyed your life, it would be helpful to get information on how the RC was performed.

@@nft3 thank you for your reply. But, every single root canal ever done can't be infected without exceptions, that doesn't make any sense, since there is no way of testing every single root canal ever performed world wide. I will watch the documentary of course. How did you find out it was the tooth causing problems, if no medical professional could see it through any of the high tech scans? what form of testing was done?
I am still curious about how your RC was done, given that there are newer technology that has come out since the "root cause" documentary. Several publications regarding these new technologies suggest it is the only way to perfectly clean the tooth and create a sterile environment that is 99.9% bacteria free.
Traditional root canals using just the file and gutcha perta is extremely dangerous. So I ask once more, how was your RC performed and what filling was used?

Endodontist who have studied root canal for years know the value and risks of procedure. Whatever he is telling has no evidence. After a lot of reasearch for many years Root canal treatment is ideal choice of saving tooth which are badly decayed
If you want your teeth extracted then you have to replace it further with an implant or Bridge...it also had its cons, if not done correctly it can lead to bone loss and infection. Later you will not have any option left.. if you leave space without replacement your teeth will start moving your bite will change you will have pain.
At the end every body reacts to every treatment in a different way. Most of the root canal treated teeth last life time without any adverse effects.

Dentures are healthier than root canals because the root canal encapsulates the bacteria. The length of life is shorter comparing those who had root canals verses those who have dentures. The root canal is especially bad for the person with diabetes. But thankfully, we can choose to receive the Messiah as our Savior, and pray in His Name. // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah Asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).
